[Character name: Alex Bridgerton] [Location: Park]
Alex had Kai for a few hours this afternoon. She hoped it did not rain, even if it looked like it did. So far it seemed very clear, but she kept looking up every few seconds just to make sure. The moment it looked cloudy in a dark way she would gather Kai and go back home, inside. However, for now Kai was having too much fun in the sandbox. It was such a pretty day, that rain did not seem like it would come, or at least she hoped. Alex liked being outside. She hated being couped up inside.
Alex was actually adjusting to America very well. Sure she had been here years ago, but still. Right now the only thing that threw her for a loop was driving on the wrong side of the road. She did not get it, but she was not driving either, so it did not matter. Alex had considered auditioning for the play Grease, but she did not think she could handle it. She had to focus and not get distracted. It was a full time job going to school, work and keeping her dad from interfering.
Kai was bringing something over to show Alex when out of the corner of her eye she saw someone sit next to them. Alex held Kai as he handed her some flowers he picked. Some of those tiny white ones. She smiled at the other person and laughed, "Want flowers? I think he picked them all." She said in her British accent.

Theo pulled his car into the park's lot, he was determined to have some fun, he desperately needed to get away from the mayhem of the house, as people continued to open boxes and move furniture into the house from the storage crates that were currently making their front lawn look like hell on earth. Theo walked through the park his ipod playing in his pocket it seemed quite quiet to him but then he probably wasn't the best judge of character. He stopped at the playground, spotting someone who he thought he had seen at school during the day.
For want of something better to do he stepped into the playground and headed for the seat, plopping down at the other end of the seat he looked to see what she was looking at and smiled, probably her brother or something. The toddler totted over to her with flowers in his hand making Theo smile widely as the girl was handed the flowers.
"Want flowers? I think he picked them all." she said to him making him smile.
"Thank you but I should pass... they were for you after all." he said with a wide smile, he still spoke with a slur but now he was out of school and his first day nerves had passed he found that he was able to speak a little better, though it still appear as if it was taking him a great deal of effort. "I'm Theo." he introduced himself.

The guy looked familar, but for the life of her she could not place him. Based on his age Alex would say she knew him from school, but with both Gould and Silver being combined, it was hard to tell. It was so many people and Alex had enough trouble finding her way around the school. At least Greg had been nice enough to help. Alex smiled at Theo and offered him her hand, "Alexandra, but please call me Alex. Pleasure to meet your aquaintance." Alex said as she took the flowers from Kai, "This charming guy is Kai." Alex said with a light laugh, "Say hello Kai."
Like most two year olds Kai could be friendly and shy at the same time. Although Alex had only been helping with Kai for about two weeks she liked to think she knew a little about him. So it was no shock to her when at first Kai burried his face in her chest, but then peeked out at the new guy, waved and said, "Hi. I go play." in a tiny voice. It was so cute. Then Kai lightly ran off to play in the sand box. Which was not that far, so instead of a run it was more like a quick step.
Alex just laughed at the cute interaction. Those seemed to be his favorite words for a two year old. Alex watched Kai as he got into the sandbox and sat down. "I know you.....from school, correct? You go to Gould?" She did not mean like it he went to Gould over Silver, she meant more like he was currently attending Gould like the rest of them. "I am still trying to get use to the school. Its so big. Although I should not be surprised, London has some very big schools, but for some reason I cannot seem to navigate the school here." Alex said laughing.

Theo smiled and waved when the boy turned his head for a moment before going back to his playing in the sand box, "I have nephews and a niece his age." Theo said to her with a smile, he spoiled them rotten like the rest of the family did. He knew that he would probably never have children of his own, he didn't really want them just yet. Well why would he at his age, he was quite happy to sit his brother and sisters kids then hand them back at the end of the night.
"I'm a member of Silver actually... some kind of rat infestation... we moved here from New York..." he said to her frowning slightly at the stutter in his voice, it was truly annoying that he could not speak without it at the moment. He had a look of frustration on his face for a moment before he replaced it with his normal smile. "I know what you mean... getting used to a school which we will only... be in for a little while is shall we say a tad annoying. I went to a performing arts school in New York... so this is a massive change for me." Theo said to her.

Alex smiled as Theo spoke, "I am sure you niece and nephews enjoy their time with you. Children are precious." Alex admitted as she looked at Kai. "I have not been the best mother to Kai, but I do plan to be a better one." She told Theo, not thinking anything of admitting Kai was her child. She was proud. Sure, ideally she was to young for children, but she made the choice to sleep with Ashley, she made the choice to have Kai and she also made the choice to leave. These were things she though of all the time, but she was very happy with all her choices except one.
"That is my school. I am enrolled in Silver, however, as you just mentioned, I am attending Gould for the time being. Although I must admit, I am a tad frightened about retuning to Silver. It was hard enough learning how to navigate Gould." She noticed the accent, although to Alex it was not a bad thing. Just listen to her and her British accent after all. "I must concur. it is rather annoying."
"I use to live in New York for a time being, until I left unfortunately. It was a very nice place. Rather cold in the winter, but I was raised in London, so cold did not bother me. I rather enjoy a nice winter." Alex admitted. "Performing arts, that must have been wonderful to attend." She was fascinated with the arts, but sadly she felt she laced the talent. "Do you favor one particular are? Such as acting, painting, music, or are you what do they call it..a jack of all trades of sorts?" Alex asked.

Theo grinned, "I'm a dancer, it started... with my mom forcing me to take dance lessons... with my sister when we were little... she gave it up I continued on with it." Theo explained. "I got into the school based on that... it kind of went from there... whether its modern, ball room or ballet I can do it... personally I prefer modern... but according to my instructors I'm better at ballet." Theo said almost embarrassedly in the end, but it was clear from the tone in his voice that he got a great deal of pleasure out of dancing. "I can also act but... generally I let my body do the talking on the stage." he said.
He never seemed to have issue with putting across the entusiasm he felt for something that he loved to do, he looked over at the boy still playing in the sand box.
"Your lucky, he seems like a great kid." Theo said as he turned back to her. "So your English, where abouts did you come from? I visited Manchester and Newcastle with my parents a few times, never did London though... I'm not sure why we never got around to that." he said rubbing a hand through his hair.

"Dancing is a wonderful art form. I would love to see you dance. I love the ballet and any type of dance really. I am afraid the only dancing I know how to do is ballroom. My specialty is the waltz." Growing up in London high society you learned to dance before you walked. In other words ballroom dancing was a must among high society. "I commend you on your abilities to dance. I am afraid as good as I am with the waltz I still tend to have two left feet. Took me many years of practice to perfect the dance and I still struggle unless I practice." It was true. The waltz might be her specialty, but it was also the only ballroom dance she knew. "Again congratulations on your accomplishments. I have seen a ballet production and I imagine you must have worked very hard for years, for your teachers to say you are that good. I admire that."
She always admired what people could do. Everyone was good at something. Sure she would love to dance as well as Theo says he can dance, but she is not that coordinated, but she will admire someone with the ability to learn dancing. "As for acting, I am far better with that then dancing." She admitted.
Alex smiled at Kai, "He is a wonderful kid. I will tell his father you said that. His father defiantly deserves credit for how Kai has turned out." It was the sad honest truth. Alex had nothing to do with how Kai was raised so far, but she would be involved from now on. "I was born and raised in London. Al thought I do have family spread through out england, my family favored London." However she was not about to admit she was the daughter of a Viscount, although in thus day and age that really meant nothing. Just another term for a stuck up rich family. "Did you enjoy England? I lived in New York for a little bit, I would love to go back and visit."

Theo smiled, "To start with I resented it... but now I love dancing, thus why I was in a performing arts school... learning my trade so to speak." Theo said to her. "Just about any one can learn to dance well, its like riding a bike... once you have done it once... you never forget what you... have been taught." he pointed out. "Its not for every one though... it helps if you have a natural rythem... most people have it but not everyone." he said to her with a grin.
"Manchest was cool... I got to see a lot of it including seeing a football match at Old Trafford. Dad managed to get us tickets for a game on short notice. Something that your not supposed to be able to do apparently... anyway I had a lot of fun, I got my first taste of English hospitality." he said to her with a grin. "The hotel we stayed in... had this bell boy or something... we were in the lift going to our rooms when he spoke... my brother said something about it to mom... I have never seen anyone so angry." he said to her. "I was glad I couldn't hear his angry reply... when someone translates something... into sign language I think something is lost in the translation." he said to her.

"Do you plan to make a career out of Dancing?" Alex asked wondering, "I am not sure what career I will have. I use to have my whole life planned back in London, but things have severely changed." she assured Theo. "I have new priorities to think about, but I think dancing would be a wonderful career. I hear it can be quite rewarding, despite all the challenges." Alex was not way a dancer like Theo was. He waltz would forever be her only specialty. But it was true, Alex had no idea what he life would be like now, but she was only a junior, so she had time to think it over.
"I am sorry you had to be exposed to that. English men can get offended at silly things. Its all just bollacks really. My father gets mad at simple things that he should never be angry over." Like her deciding to be a mother. "Football is defiantly fun...I believe it is called soccer here. I admit that was one of the first things I learned. This guy..." She was referring to Ashley. "So he would take me to a football game and I was expecting something different then people getting tackled." Alex said with a small laugh. "Manchester United is one of the best teams."

When Alex asked him about his future he hadn't really thought about it in all honesty, he had yet to make a decision on what he would do besides travel after he left school. He didn't need to work, so what ever he did, it would be because he loved it and not because he needed the money.
"When I decide what I want to do I'll let you know... in all honesty at the moment I haven't got a clue... It would be a waste to not do dance after I am done here... but I'll probably spend a year travelling or doing something worth while elsewhere in the world... after I graduate high school." he said to her with a smile.
"I wasn't the one that got shouted at, my brother was... it wouldn't have mattered to me if he was shouting at me. Not at the time anyway... I was born deaf and the trip to Manchester was before I got the implant..." he said to her flashing a goofy smile. "Anyone that tells you being deaf is a disadvantage... doesn't know how handy it is... when an argument is going on... you don't have to pretend to be not able to hear them." he told her.
