A day to relax, open at the beach

Kian woke in a surprisingly good mood. He had really enjoyed his time with Patch and Evan at the Viper room and found that he enjoyed getting to know Brittany and Mal as well. He had felt a bit like the odd one out, but hadn’t been overly uncomfortable.

Dragging himself out of bed, he showered and dressed in a pair of surf shorts. He grabbed his beach bag, stuffed a couple of clean towels and several bottles of water in it. He left a note for his parents telling them he was off to the beach for the day. He deserved a day to relax. He hadn’t had one for a very long time.

The drive to the beach was short and he was glad to see it wasn’t too crowded yet. He picked a good spot to lay out his stuff and decided to sun bathe for a while so he would be more awake before he hit the water. He put sun lotion over his lightly tanned skin and got a slight acquaintance to do his back in exchange for the same. He then draped an arm over his eyes and let the sun do its thing.

There was nothing better then getting out of the house. Especially on the weekends when Fal did not have school as an excuse to get away from the Wicked Witch. Besides the beach was calm and peaceful. A great place to sit back and draw. Fal was bursting with inspiration. She had all sorts of ideas in her head. She could have stayed up all night drawing, but she needed sleep. Fal woke up in a very good mood and went about her usual morning routine. She even made sure to find her pills that had some how found their way under some clothes. At least she found them.

Fal gout out her cute little red bikini and some white shorts and got dressed. She took a top just in case she needed one. Fal made it a point to tell her mom where she was going, but not the Wicked Witch. Fal was willing to walk, but her mom drove her and told Fal she would be back at lunch time. She walked down the beach and found a nice spot. She put sunscreen on. By the time it came to get her back she realized why she should have brought someone with her. Fal looked around. Although the idea of asking a stranger was kind of scary, she did it anyway. Fal leaned over and tapped the guy on the shoulder.

Besides he looked to be about her age so it worked out. "Hey...umm...sorry to bother you, but would you mind spreading this on my back for me?" She asked with a cute smile on her face.

Kian blinked and turned his face, surprised to see a girl. He scrambled to sitting and attempted to make his sun drenched brain work enough to understand why she was holding out a white plastic bottle to him. "Oh.... your back!" he exclaimed hoping he didn't sound as dumb as he thought he did.

Taking the bottle he squeezed some onto his hand and shifted so he could spread it on her back. "Sorry I was really sleeping hard. I suppose I should know better than to sleep on the beach after partying the night before," he said as he rubbed in the lotion.

"I'm Kian O'Connor, just in case you like to know the names of those that minister to your back," he said thinking he had friends that would love to be in this position right now. The girl was cute and pretty but she was a female which meant he was out of his league. He noted there were more people there than when he arrived. It was definitely going to be hot which meant more people after noon. "Do you go to Gould or Silver?" he asked for he was notorious for not noticing people. She could have been his lab partner in something and he wouldn't know. He tended to have his mind occupied working lines whenever he was in a show.

Brad picked his spot by the beach to park his car, the surf board haphazadly strapped to the roof of the large car, he stepped out of the car into the heat of the morning sun, sun glasses in place as he ran a hand through his hair, it didn't take long for him to be heading down the beach he liked that it was quiet but spotted at least one person who seemed familiar to him as he headed towards them he still didn't know why, it was only when he got next to them and planted his board in the sand upright that he thought maybe school was how he had seen one or both of them.

"Um you go to Silver right?" he asked the boy. "Sorry I see people I recognize but can't place them I have a need to know why I recognize them." Brad said to him. "I know I've seen you around Gould when we were all under one roof." Brad said to her. "Anyway just thought I would say hi, it seems like your having couple time, so if I interupted I apologise." Brad said to them going back over to his surf board ready to pick it up and move on... he had no wish to annoy a couple by spoiling their personal time together on a weekend.

Fal moved so her back was facing the guy. The good thing about short hair was she did not have to move it out of the way. She smiled as the guy mentioned sleeping on the beach, "I don't blame you for sleeping. Its quite peaceful out here. I would fall asleep too if I was not so scared of waking up and looking like a tomato. " She laughed. Just the thought of her coming home looking like a tomato was funny. "Thanks." Fal said referring to him rubbing the lotion on her back. Fal would admit she liked when guys rubbed lotion on her back. They had strong and nice hands. It felt good. Then again that was just her flirtatious side coming out.

"I go to Gould, I'm Fallon. Its nice to meet you Kian. Are you new? Please for give me in advance if you have been going there for years and I sound like an idiot asking if you are new. I have a tendency to escape into my own world and not really pay attention to people at my school." Except for a few exceptions like her brother and sister, it was true. She could have been in the same class as someone for years and she would not have noticed unless they talked to her or she talked to them. Once Fal escaped into her own world of picturing dress designs, she was gone.

Fal squinted up as another guy walked over. She used a hand to cover her eyes to focus because of the sun. The guy did look vaguely familiar. When he mentioned seeing her at Gould when Silver and Gould were under the same roof it clicked. "Right...that whole earthquake thing. I wondered why Gould was less crowded." She laughed.
When the guy mentioned Kian and her being a couple she looked back at Kian and then to the guy and then back at Kian. She just smiled at him and let out a small laugh. This made them look like a couple. Him rubbing lotion on her back. Okay maybe she could see it. It did make some sense. Fal looked up at the guy and smiled, "you're not interrupting. Please join us...I am Fallon." She said now introducing herself to the new guy who showed up. She felt no need to deny the couple comment. What was the point...he was able to think what he wanted.

[Brad Dawson]

Brad smiled at her as he put bag on the sand and reached in for his towel so he had something to sit on, then sat down getting comfortable while not burning his legs on the hot sand which was beneath him.

"Brad but most people call me BJ." Brad replied accepting the hand and shaking it. "This weather reminds me of back home, I love it when the conditions are like this surfing the waves can be so much fun or boring as hell." Brade said to her as he took lotion out of his bag and started to rub it in to his skin paying particularly attention to his nose. "No place worse to get burnt than on the nose." Brad said. "Well okay for a guy there is but since I'm not nude it isn't a concern." Brad said to the girl with a chuckle.

Brad hadn't removed his sun glasses for want of protecting his eyes from the glare of the sun but he lifted them enough to look at her.

"So you just here to sunbath or you hear for the waves and the sun?" Brad asked. "I imagine this place is going to get real busy very soon either way, it has a great view and some great shops nearby for the tourists." Brad said scracthing his chin.

Kian acknowledged that he had been at Gould since the fall but he had been hiding a lot due to extracurricular studies. When Brad mentioned his theory they were a couple Kian smiled in amusement and shook his head, echoing Fallon's welcome. He now was in the uncomfortable place of being a third wheel but unable to move without appearing rude.

"I'm Kian and I am from Gould as well, though Fallon and I have just met. I have been invisible most of the year," he explained though not in detail. He laid down on his towel again, but face down this time so he wouldn't be unevenly tanned. Tanning could either benefit him in his profession or it could be a detriment if it made him look ridiculous.

"You could try sunbathing nude, but I think the lifeguards would blow the whistle on it. You would think if anywhere in the US they allowed it, it would be here. Trying to keep up with the South of France and all... but no we still haven't shed our puritan roots!" Kian said opening an eye to look at them to see their reaction. He decided they would probably be rather attractive bathing au naturale. They were fit and attractive. He thought that the big guys with beer bellies trying to wear speedos and the women who tried to wear string bikinis after bearing ten kids should be the ones outlawed. That was frightening and probably traumatic to small children.

Fallon laughed when Kian said they just met. She could not help but laugh. "He is being nice we have been dating a while." She winked at Kian and started to laugh some more. She was only messing around. "Its nice to meet you BJ. A pleasure." Oh the things his name suggested added an extra chuckle to her lips. She just shook it off and laid down on her back between the two boys she just met. She was crazy. A girl alone with two boys. Then again it was a public beach, what could they do.

"Kian is right we just met now. I go to Gould, but my days are spent in a drawing book." She pointed at the book beside her. she looked at Kian as he talked about sunbathing. The idea of seeing guys naked on a beach, or even a girl for that matter, well it was a good image, but Fal shook it off.

"I bet you boys would love that. Nude girls on a beach...or guys depending on what you are into." She Had no idea if either guy was gay or straight. Since her mom was gay she could not tell anymore. She had no gaydar what so ever. Fal just laughed and shook her head, "I am hear to enjoy the Waves, sunbath and draw some pictures. Just a day to relax and chill and hide from my family." Well her parents anyway.

"What is the reason for your escape?" She asked both boys wondering just what they would say.

Kian laughed at Fallon pairing them together even if just temporarily. He had a feeling that he would be last choice on her dating list even if he was straight. She was too cute to not go for the football players, much like BJ in fact. "So what is BJ short for?" he asked, for he knew a BJ but that had been given for skill in his favorite activity not a shortened name.

"Well a nude beach would be good for your sketching, but I think that the good lucking sunbathers would be outweighed by the ones that should not leave the house in less than a tent." Kian like many of his inclination had no use for those that didn't at least try to hide their flaws. He understood that it wasn't always easy to stay thin, but he felt heavy people should dress for it. I have been working on a play for last three months and I just desperately needed to relax. If I had stayed home there would be chores, my sister wanting me to play games with her or mom complaining about taxes since dad isn't alive to do them for them."

Fal smiled at Kian, "well I sketch more dresses and fashion, but I do draw other things such as landscapes and stuff, but I have yet to draw the human body. Thatb could be fun. Not sure I would care to sketch at a nude beach, but the thought is entertaining," He smiled and brought her knees up to her chest. She pushed her sketch book toward Kian. "Its all rough drafts, but if you want to take a look." It was various articles of clothing from dresses, to shirts, skirts to corsets and vests. Everything was int hat book.

"Play...you are in a play? What kind of play?" Fallon was very curious, "If you ever need help running lines I have been told I have a wonderful memory, now I can't act, but I will try. Just don't ask me to cry on command, I can't do that." She smiled, "I can throw a temper tantrum" she laughed. "It really is a nice day out. Thank god for the weekend."

She laid on her back and looked at Kian some more, "I have a little brother, but he is off doing something and my older sister is who knows where. I came her to get away from my step mom. She is just so annoying I could not take it anymore." Fallon admitted, "I usually do not hate people, but I just can't like her. Sorry if I am ranting."
