Kian couldn’t help but smile at Fallon’s enthusiasm. Looking through her sketch book he thought he could see raw talent though he really didn’t know much about women’s clothing. “I think these are good, you should apply at Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising or one of the other fashion schools,” he said sincerely, giving her the book back after a thorough inspection. “You should do some practice with the human body though. It will make your sketches more professional to have them on a model who isn’t a contortionist. I would offer to model but you will need more work with females, I think.” He grinned at her, hoping she was okay with constructive criticism.
“Last night was our last night. I played David in Neil Simon’s ‘God’s Favorite’. It’s a great comedy, I had a blast doing it. I finally got my SAG card too, so now I can go to almost any auditions I want to. I am on break now, but next time I am in rehearsals I will take you up with the running lines offer. It is always easier when you have someone to bounce lines off of,” he enthused.
“It’s okay, you can rant all you want as long as it is to me and not at me. What is it about the woman that is so intolerable?” Kian asked, hoping that if his mom ever remarried, it would be to someone decent. She was barely getting out of the house yet though so he kind of had the opposite trouble, worrying that she was hiding away too much.

Fallon laughed, "I hardly know you so I can't rant at you, but maybe one day" She smiled, "Just kidding. I try to stay away from confrontation, although I can get mad sometimes and can't help it." She admitted. Especially when she did not have her meds. Or was in one of her mood swings. Either way sometimes it was better to just back off.
"I guess you have a point. female clothes might look weird on the male body, but I would love to sketch you anyway. I like to draw in general. Clothes just so happen to be my passion, but draing is fun. Sometimes I will just draw whatever pops into my head." Fallon liked the idea of a Fashion Institute. She would need to check into those. That sounded like the school for her.
"Its a long story, but the short version is my mom had an affair with my brothers science teacher...and other woman. Now if my mom wants to be a lesbian I am fine with that, but what I do not like is Sandra acting like she is my parent. She might be my step mom, but that does not mean she can mother me. Sandra thinks my brother, sister and I are weird I guess. My brother and sister like to dress in crazy clothes and wear make up and stuff. And Sandra wants us to act more normal. I just do not get it. And it causes a ton of problems." Fallon told him. "But I am sure you do not care to hear about my family drama all night."

Kian listened to her with a smile. She was a lot different than he originally imagined her, she wasn’t at all stuffy and stuck up like a cheerleader type usually is. “I have found that people usually don’t have to have a reason to rant at me… or maybe I just can’t understand what their problem is, I can be oblivious upon occasion.” He turned onto his back again and pulled out a pair of sunglasses, so he could look at her comfortably.
“Well if you really want to try it, I am not adverse to posing in drag, but I think your clothing would look better on girls. Even though I tend to be slender from dancing, my shoulders are kind of wide I think for most female fashion. But you’re welcome to sketch me anytime,” Kian offered still grinning.
“As for Sandra, I think that you and your sibs should sit down with Mom and lay it on the line. Say that while you appreciate her right to make her own choices, that Sandra is not and never will be one of your parents and you would like that made clear to her,” Kian said seriously. “It will seem harsh, but in the long run it will make things easier for all of you.

"I try not to rant and stuff. I am not a confrontational person. I am content with staying out of the drama, but sometimes it find you. I know confrontation is necessary, but does not mean I have to like it or enjoy it. They say its part of being a middle child. I don't know." Fallon said with a shrug. "I enjoy a good conversation, but some people can't help but turn even the tiniest disagreement into some fight." Fal shook her head. Sandra was like that. it was either agree with her or else. Or perhaps that's just how Fallon saw it.
" I am sure I work around the broad shoulder's. " Fallon said with a wink. "Or I could simple look into a men's clothing line. I would need diversity in designs. Thats the key to being a good designer. Besides I have a brother that could benefit from my need to keep making clothes with my sewing machine. I can sometimes work all night on one design. I am slightly addicted to my sewing machine." She admitted with a shy smile and a blush.
"Now thats an idea. Easier said then done. Getting my brother and sister to sit down and listen is easier said then done, but you have a point. it could not make things worse then they already are." That was the bad part. Fal felt like she had no choice in the matter. One day her dad was there and the next day he was replaced and she was being sent away for a summer. It sucked sometimes.

"I don't think it is because of being a middle child necessarily. I have seen plenty of firsts and lasts that prefer fighting to conversing too. I am the oldest and my sisters are twins so I guess we really don't have a middle child. So maybe I don't know what I am talking about," Kian said ruefully. He was really enjoying talking to Fallon. That taught him a lesson. Not to avoid pretty girls because they might be cheerleaderish, he supposed that held true of big athletic looking guys too. That didn't mean they were all jockish, though it was more likely.
"My Aunt Mary is a costume designer and has a ton of scraps of fabric lying around her house... If you thought you might want them, I could ask her if you could scrounge through them. She is always talking about spring cleaning," Kian offered. "I know she has a lot of old suits, they break them down and change them to make different ones. Every time I need a suit for something, mom sends me over there. I would love to see them go away. She won't even let me spend my own money on something new because of all those suits just going to waste."
Kian felt bad about her family situation. It had to suck having a step-mother that you hated. He kind of felt bad for Sandra and the mother as well. It had to make it tough on a new relationship too. "Well I can't really help with her, as I have no aspirations to be a hitman, but if you ever need someone to talk with or just hang, you can give me a call," he said digging through his bag and handing her one of his cards after he had scribbled his cell number on it. The card itself had a number but that went through to his agent, not him.
