waiting for fun, tags Taki, Thad & Mike

[Dare Madison]

Dare gathered his things and headed out side. He had called and canceled Tony picking him up. He felt a bit exposed and at odds knowing the big husky driver wouldn’t be waiting out in the parking lot. He was a lot more cheerful because he had heard from Mike and it seemed they were going to be together after all. He had brought his gym bag with him in case they decided to swim.Swimming was something he was good at, after all, almost every hotel he stayed in had a swimming pool.

He went to go wait for Taki, seating himself on a low wall and playing guitar as he did so.
Deep grey eyes, full of heartache and woe

Dare kept working on the lyric, frustrated that it said what he wanted, but didn’t have the right sound.

Takumi dug out his phone as he headed from his final class back to his locker.

He quickly keyed in a reminder.

'Otouto-san. Hurry. Main gate. Do not be late.... that is poem, hai? Bed quick! - Takumi'. I was always better to double check plans where Thad was concerned as he seemed to have an even shorter memory span than Yoshino Takumi possessed... Something that Takumi wouldn't have thought possible.

He rammed his phone back into his pocket whilst simultaneously opening his locker with his other hand. Books were deposited inside and with the prospect of a fun early evening ahead of him he made his way outside...

Spotting Dare was a simple task as he had such unusual hair. Ok, so Takumi could easily have approached a blonde haired girl and thrown his arms around her neck from behind by error but luck was with him. He grinned when his embrace caused Dare to miss-strum a chord.

"Are you ready for some fun?" he asked, not wanting to mention Mike... Just in case. He would find out soon enough how Mike's meeting with his ex-boyfriend had gone... and if the news was bad then he would be there for his friend.

Dare's heart nearly burst through his chest he was so startled. "Oh Taki, I could have barfed or something. Mike is going to join us.... I think that means he is mine," Dare said, his face glowing with hope." I hope he comes soon, me guessing is not as good as hearing it out loud." He put his guitar away, not wanting to be rude to Taki and hoping the other two boys would join them soon.

"Barfed? What is barfed?" he asked on a laugh. "Never mind," Takumi quickly added. "Mike is joining us? That's far more important than what that word means!" Takumi threw one leg over the wall and sat astride it, much as he would have donw with his bright red Vespa. "So he didn't tell you how his talk with the other boy went?" Dare shook his head. "Just that he was coming with us to the beach?" This time a nod. "Then that is surely good news, Dare-kun!" the ever optimistic Japanese boy declared. "Had he wanted to be with this other boy then he wouldn't have wanted to meet up now."

Takumi tilted his head to one side. "But you and he... Don't you want to be alone so that you can talk? I mean, it will not be easy to achieve that with Thad and myself present. I promise you, I will not take offence if you tell me you prefer not to come with us to the beach. Really! This is far more important." Besides, Takumi and Thad had never had trouble with finding mischief. Today would be no different! He did his best to look intent and serious in the hopes of making Dare believe him when he said he would be offended or upset...

Mike's talk with Jade had been very productive. At least in Mike's opinion. It showed Mike where he and Jade stood and right now that was as friends. Mike would always hold a torch for the other guy, but since Jade was moving on to Jeremy, and Jade obviously was happy with Jeremy and did not want to ruin things, then it was time Mike did the same thing. Dare seemed to be the perfect guy for that. He was cute, sweet, and had long hair Mike could lose his fingers in. Yes the smaller boy was perfect.

Mike got the text and replied back during lunch. He was actually looking froward to it. He could job hunt more tomorrow, cause Mike had a feeling his phone would be confiscated by his dads, by the end of the month, so Mike needed a job so he could venture out on his own, before his dads took legal action to get him back. Mike did not want to go back there. He was feeling good for the first time since the beatings started. It was nice not getting beat almost every day. Although Mike had plenty of healing to do.

Mike found Dare and some Asian guy easy enough. He walked over and wrapped an arm around Dare giving him a small kiss on the lips. "You are a sight for sore eyes." He told the blond hair boy. Mike gave Dare a smile and turned to Taki. "Hey...you must be Taki? I have heard about you." From Evan, Dare, and a few other people actually. Taki was probably one of the most talked about people around.

"Konbanwa, Mike," Takumi replied with a friendly smile as he moved aside from where he'd been draped around Dare's neck from behind so that the other boy could take his place. "Yes, I am Taki," he confirmed. They'd met in passing at Dare's house on Saturday but Mike had been engrossed with Dare so could be forgiven for not seeing him. Besides, Takumi had been setting up his base when Mike had arrived and had been crouched down, probably out of sight. "I hope you have heard only the good thingss!" he added with a laugh. "Dare has done nothing but talk about you." He poked the back of Dare's shoulder as he teased his friend.

It was good to see Mike showing affection as Dare had been so upset earlier despite Takumi's best attempts to cheer him up. "We were going to the beach and boardwalk for some fun but I was just telling Dare that it's very understandable if you both wish to be alone. I am sure you have much to discuss." Mike would likely have already guessed that Dare had confided in Takumi. Likewise, Takumi hadn't pre-judged Mike and sincerely hoped they would make it as a couple.

"Really, it would be fine! Thad and I can easily make trouble alone," he added. "We have done that many times already!"

Dare leaned into Mike's embrace and returned the kiss warmly. "It's up to Mike, we hadn't really made any plans for the evening." He didn't want to desert Taki, but being alone with his new boyfriend was very appealing as well. "What would you like to do?"he asked, looking into his gorgeous eyes as if searching his soul. He was so happy he was having a hard time forming cohesive thoughts.

Syn flew by on her motorcycle and then circled back. "Careful!getting nabbed for PDOA would not be the best way for Dad to find out about Mike," she warned. She waved at Taki and then zoomed off to the beach to see if Ben was hanging around.

Dare looked around nervously, but there were no badges within range of sight so he kissed Mike again, finding it hard to resist his lips.

Mike forgot Taki was at the jam session. He had been a tad busy that day, but the guy seemed nice enough. "It has been only good things. I have heard you have a real sense of adventure and some girlfriend you met when you first got here." Mike had not heard much about Taki's significant other. Just a few things from his other friends. "It really is good to meet you." He told the boy. Mike kissed Dare back as Syn drove up. He just smirked. "I think your sis is jealous." Mike said with a smile.

"I appreciate that, but its cool. I don't mind hanging with people and getting into good trouble. " Mike said laughing. "Besides I can talk to Dare much later tonight." He said more to Dare then to Taki. "So where are we headed first." He kissed Dare again. He was glad Dare was obviously still receptive to the idea since this morning. Mike just wanted this relationship to start off on a good foot so to speak.

He needed it to, cause right now, the good things in his life was keeping him from returning to his old ways. Right now things were going good. Which was a first. Cause Mike did not have the best track record sometimes. "I am up for anything. So whats first food or fun. Or perhaps its both."

Takumi waved a hand wildly above his head in reply to Dare's sister. "It is a shame Hai can't join us," he commented in reference, of course, to Syn. Perhaps, though, given what Dare had just revealed about his siter and how she seemed to like to tease him it might be just as well that she'd ridden on. "I didn't realise she had a motorbike," he added. He made a mental note to ask her if she wanted to go out for a ride one afternoon. Hopefully his Vespa would be able to keep up...

"It is also good to meet you properly, Mike," Takumi replied with a dip of his head. "And am also glad you still want to head to the beach. I'm not sure if Thad will be able to make it." Taki glanced back over his shoulder at the main entrance as he spoke, hoping to catch sight of the other boy. So far, nothing.

"We were thinking of taking a ball or... I forget what it's called. Fris... Something. Saucer shape thing you throw. Anyway, maybe we can do that on the beach? And afterwards get a drink on the boardwalk. We are to eat at Dare's house but, again, I can go home from the boardwalk if you two prefer to be alone. I am not about to intrude." Takumi threw Dare a wink.

Dare glanced over Mike's shoulder to warily watch his sister's retreating back. "She found it in a junkyard and had one of our schoolmates rebuild it for her. My dad offered to get a car for her but it wasn't radical enough I think.

"Maybe you should text Thad again, maybe he forgot?" Dare asked. He didn't know Thad personally but from what Taki had said about his friend, it seemed he might be a bit scatterbrained. Dare blushed deeply when Taki winked at him as it implied somewhere that he and Mike hadn't gotten close to yet, though it had been greatly on his mind lately.
