Hey Sil, was thinking of going to see a movie tonight, maybe that new Stephen King one. Feel like getting spooked? My treat!

Silver heard the familiar ring tone of. He favorite musicale Wicked, it was the song "As long as your mine", which was her all time favorite song. She checked her phone for a moment apologizing to Elena. Of course Silver knew who it was, only one person had that ringtone cause he deserved it since he was her best friend and there for got the best. Silver typed up a quick reply and hit send.
"Only if you don't mind me hiding on your lap the wholetime. J/k..ur so on...at lib now. Can come over after."

Anderson entered his home, empty as usual, and kicked off his shoes. He pulled out his phone to google movie showtimes as he walked up the stairs to his room. It was finally the weekend and he had almost everything finished for the start of his huge new campaign. Lord Dagrelore's forces were swarming The Dalelands, and help was needed! Though he wouldn't make it easy for the PC's, he hoped they'd feel the epic nature of the situation right from the start. He jumped on to his bed, staring up at his cell as he read through the times The Road Virus was playing.
His phone instantly started buzzing, which was soon followed by Jason Mraz's “If It Kills Me.” Anderson let it play for a moment, knowing exactly who was texting him without even looking at the phone. It was a song he loved to hear often. Eventually the sound faded, and Anderson opened his eyes to read the text.
JK. Anderson was not a fan of the proliferation of text-speak as it was, but he especially hated seeing the two letters “J” and “K” standing side by side. It was an escape for girls to tease boys, saying things they may or may not actually mean then clausing it with a “JK” to let the boy sit in the purgatory that liking a girl brought on. Anderson would have loved for nothing more than to watch a scary movie and have Silver leap into his lap, holding him tight as he protected her from whatever abomination was moving across the screen. But he knew she didn't see him that way, and that he couldn't protect her from anything non-fictional, so he was content to endure the “JK's” that her friendship brought. She was a great friend, the best, and a great role-player too. He'd hate to think of his life without her, and he was more than terrified that's what trying to date her would mean.
Exhaling the worries from his body, he typed a quick reply.
Starts at 6:40, if you don't make it by then we can go to the 9:00. Does that sound good? See you soon, hopefully!

Silver sighed as she waited anxiously for a text back from Andersen. If only she could date, but to ber honest, Silver was not sure she could. It was not fair to date someone if you were just going to die in the end. Which Silver believed. She felt she was living on barrowed time and soon her new heart would give out. It was not fair to put someone through all that.
Silver's smile once again brightened at the familar ring tone. She quickly checked her phone:
"I can be @ ur place at 6, and maybe we can go dinner after....I cant just say bye after a movie, we need 2 talk DnD"

Anderson glanced over at his clock after reading Silver's latest message. If she was to be over at six and they were getting dinner after, he should probably take care of the few finishing touches he needed to make on the campaign. He also could use a shower, but that was less important for now.
He moved to his desk and began working. When Anderson's mind traveled to the Forgotten Realms, he could easily lose himself. Thus, when he finally finished and looked up at the clock, he was shocked to realize it was a quarter to six! Though he was glad that he finished, he knew he needed to get cleaned up. Though he knew Silver didn't think of him that way, it never hurt to be clean and good smelling. He always wanted to impress his friend.
He picked up his phone and shot a quick message to Sil, in case she arrived early.
I need to shower. Just come on inside when you get here.
He set down his phone next to his wallet and stripped down to his underwear, tossing the old clothes into a hamper. He grabbed a pair of fresh boxer briefs and headed into his bathroom, excited for the night ahead.

Silver said good bye to Elena. She smiled, happy to have possible future plans. The girl seemed nice and did not seem like she would make a fool of the girl. Or so Silver hoped. Sometimes Silver could be naive, cause she wanted friends so badly. Then again she did have Anderson, which was perfect. One best friend was always good to have. Silver stopped by her house to change and drop off her books. She was now wearing black boots, jeans and black top that said "In what color is each word written." The it had a list of colors, listed in different colors.
Silver was always annoyingly on time. At six pm right on the dot she pulled up to Anderson's driveway. Silver hated to be late. Besides she actually had to stop herself from showing up too early. Silver did a mental check in her head. She took her afternoon meds and had her dinner meds with her. The price of having a heart transplant was you were medicated out the butt and it was very important to take every medication. Instead of knocking Silver let herself in like always. She had read his latest text about the shower, but thought he was done by now.
Besides she was too excited. Silver was use to not knocking and going right to his room. She was a creature of habit and this is exactly what happened. Only this time she was in for as surprise. When she opened the door and walked in she was greeted with a sight she had never seen. Anderson stood in nothing but a towel dripping of water. Silver stared for a moment, her cheeks turning a dark red, "Oh..so...soi...sorry.." she stuttered. "I...I will...b...be...do...down...there...." She pointed and left the room just as quickly as she entered.

In the shower, Anderson's mind was free to roam about all sorts of things. Usually, it was one of two things. Like any boy his age, much of his mind was preoccupied with thoughts of girls, but unlike others his thoughts also often drifted to different worlds, lands filled with magic and chivalry and dragons. The confines of the shower created a sort of haven, and with his eyes closed and the sound of the water drowning out most other noises, it was as if he were entirely alone in the world. Anderson's shower was like his own personal sensory deprivation chamber.
Thus it was that he became lost in his thoughts and did not realize that it was six o'clock. Nor did he hear Silver enter his home. He merely finished his shower, dried himself off, and wrapped the towel around his waist. Before he was to brush his teeth, curiosity got the best of him and he decided to see how much time he had left. The skinny boy opened the door from the bathroom into his bedroom and walked to the stand on which he had left his cell phone. Then he heard a click.
His head turned to see Silver standing in shock in his doorway. There was an awkward moment where the pair simply stared at one another. To Anderson, it felt like an eternity. As she began stammering , Anderson moved an arm to cover his scrawny chest. The few hairs that grew there were entirely covered, though Silver had already disappeared. Anderson made a move to follow, then stopped himself. He couldn't chase after her in his towel!
“I'll, umm, be right down...” he managed to say, though if it were loud enough he wasn't sure. Still, it was all his brain could muster. He retreated back into the bathroom, brushing his teeth and finishing his cleaning ritual as quickly as he could. His mind was a jumble trying to figure out how he might save the situation. He could craft entire fictional worlds and manipulate so many brave warriors, but when it came to his best friend he was hopelessly clueless.
He threw on the clothes he had set aside for the non-date, a pair of jeans, a t-shirt, and a blazer, and headed out of his room to face the music. He paused at the top of the stairs, taking one last moment to think of what to say. Nothing came to mind, and he continued. He found Silver sitting down in the living room with a hint of red still residing in her cheeks. It made Anderson blush, too.
“Hey, Sil,” he mumbled, unable to meet her eyes. “I'm uhh, sorry about that. Just lost track of time, I guess.” His hands rubbed on his thighs with an anxious tremble, and his thoughts drifted to all the ways the situation could have happened. At least she didn't laugh! That thought made Anderson smile, and he calmed a bit. “Are you ready to go?”

Warriors, Wizards, Rouges and Dungeon master, was what Silver kept repeating to herself. She kept thinking of plans and strategies she could use to beat the Dungeon Master. Then she thought of what she would do if she was ever Dungeon Master. Of course who really wanted to be Dungeon Master? Although the idea of being the bad guy was appealing in a way. That's what she needed to keep herself calm. However, the image of Anderson, in a towel....his smooth chest, nice and sculpted, his strong muscles, cascaded in water. What a view.
At first Silver felt the crush she had was silly. It was just something that happened between friends. Eventually Silver thought she would get over it, but now....the crush...the feelings...they were not going away. He was handsome. He had always been handsome. Silver touched her own chest, where the scar was. Silver was insecure about that. She might not care what others thought about her, but even Silver was prone to moments of being insecure.
Silver looked up when Anderson came into the room, "Oh I should have knocked. It was my fault. I am sorry." Silver pushed her glasses further up on her nose and smiled. She played with the hem of her shirt. "Yes, I am so ready to see this movie. I am so glad you asked me. Its the highlight of my night." Silver said giving. Anderson a smile. "Tomorrow will be even more fun with you."

Seeing Silver smile settled Anderson some, and the boy moved to the front door to open it for his friend. One of the things he liked most about Silver was that being around her always made him feel great. Partly because she was so pretty, and partly because she was nice and always said things that made him feel good about himself. Despite his smiling exterior at school, Anderson was quite self-conscious, no doubt stemming from years of being bullied when he was younger. When he started being nice to everyone no matter how much they picked on him, he found the bullying came less and less often. Anymore, it has almost entirely stopped. But those feelings of inadequacy still haunt Anderson, except when he's around his best friend.
“I'm glad, it's the highlight of my day too,” he replied with a smile. The mention of gaming pushed all thoughts of the earlier awkwardness away, and Anderson became much more animated. “I'm also excited for tomorrow! I have a lot of good stuff planned, and I can't wait to see what kinds of characters everyone has made. I talked to Levi today, and he said he's made a cleric. So you guys will have at least one healer.” His geek-babble continued all the way to the car, until he finally realized he was giving waaaay too much info away to one of the players. “Yeesh, sorry. I get so single minded, and it's hard not to tell you all my secrets!” Except for one, of course.

"My guys have a healer....and what about your guys...." Silver said joking around. She was messing with his words. Nothing new. She smiled at him, "Aww you know I will never tell your secrets. I promise. I won't give away your plan. Now if you come after me, I might be forced to spill my guts." Silver winked. She could not stop laughing around Anderson. He always brought out her friendly, joking side. "Well I heard a few people are creating rougues, which is interesting that people are picking rouges versus wizards or warriors." Silver could go on all day about why people made the choices they made.
"I think tomorrow will prove to be quite eventful. I am excited to see who will show up. And if you are nice, I might be lienient on you." Silver said still joking around. She lightly bumbed him with her shoulder, "You know you can seriously tell me anything. I meant when I said I will never tell your serects." Of course saying that made her feel a tad hypocritical cause she was holding back a secret from him.
"Oh I almost forgot. I met this guy named Christophe. He invited me out on his boat. Well me and this other girl named Emma and I would like you to join us. He said I can invite you, and you know I don't know how to swim, so I would feel better if you joined me." Which was the truth cause she always felt comfortable around Anderson and she was not a stuttering idiot. Anderson always brought out the best in her.
