"Gatlin guns aren't science fiction, they were used in the Civil War," Julia explained. She supposed she shouldn't have expected an Irish boy to know what sort of weapons were used in an American war, and she was prone to a love of science fiction, but gatlin guns were definitely historical. "Umm, I mean, they didn't replace people's arms with them, but still, they're real guns. The Union used them."
She poked her twin in the arm when he suggested throwing her in the trunk. "Don't you even!!" She warned, "Unless you want me to kick the back of Jade's trunk out. The police might wonder why there're body parts dangling out of the back of the car." She rolled her eyes at his comments on two-seaters, "If you want to play lost and found with each other, I really don't think I need to go with you." She informed him. That was exactly how she wanted to spend her evening, her brother and his boyfriend making out and avoiding the boyfriend's parents while she was passenger. Goody.
She turned to Lily, deciding to ignore the boys for now, "Umm. I'm sorry, they're kind of...." She shrugged, not sure how to explain their odd behavior. Was they're currently in the warm fuzzy stages of a relationship a description Jeremy would appreciate? "I have some cookies left over from yesterday, if you want any, I'll bring them to lunch." She offered.

Jade made a face, "History maybe, but I'm pretty sure they didn't put guns on people in place of legs, thats science fiction, I'm cool with science fiction, but not all that down with the stuff that doesn't seem to make sense to me." Jade said to her with a smile. "Blade runner great film, terminator rocks, star trek not my thing, star wars the last two I digged that." Jade said to her. "I have some science fiction stuff in my DVD collection but not a lot." He said to her.
"There will be no kicking out of my trunk, besides I don't think your fit, I have a very small trunk to my car, probably big enough for a golf set at a push, maybe even you, but it wouldn't be comfortable." Jade said to her. "Well you'd have great air conditioning." Jade said with a chuckle. "Their is no way in hell that you would be a third gear or wheel what ever that saying is, I'm not a horrendus host, thats Alex, I lost count of how many times twin time turned into twins plus one." Jade said to her. "But I won't try and convince you to come, its your call, your welcome, and I promise to try to make sure you don't become the third person, besides my dad isn't going to let me hide in the house. He'll probably confiscate my car keys when I get back to the house, to make sure I can't escape." Jade said to her.
"Was I really that bad?" Alex asked.
"You should talk to Sarah about that some time, the amount of times she's apologised for you, after she's left by text message is just funny, bro when your girl is around you have a one track mind, and that is Sarah." Jade said to him. "Its kind of cool to see." Jade added he had to admit that he was happy to see Alex happy.

Lily shifted her eyes back and forth between the various members of the group, wondering exactly on Earth she had walked in on. For somebody who considered herself somewhat intelligent, she was completely lost. Then again, Gatling guns weren’t exactly at the top of her list of favourite topics of conversation. She sidestepped towards Julia, wondering how exactly she fitted into the surprisingly flirty conversation between the male members of the group. She raised an eyebrow at Jade and Jeremy, as Julia spoke to her.
“Cookies would be cool.” Lily mumbled, “Guess it’d give me something to do at lunchtime. Talking to you I mean, not just eating your cookies.” She laughed, for the first time since the morning before. Lily didn’t want to be rude, but she was feeling increasingly out of place in the... she felt geeky might be a harsh word... environment. “So I’ll see you at lunch, thanks again for picking up my pen. Little thing but it was nice of you.” Lily smiled, grabbing the hefty stack of books from her locker and walking back over to the group. “Bye Julia.” She looked around at the others with a nod “Guys.” And headed off towards her first lesson of the day.
