Jade was funny, that was one point in his favor, and then his twin showed up. Another point, he would understand and respect just how close she and Jeremy were.
She gave Alex and Sarah a small wave. "Hey, I'm Julia." She told them, in case they had not inferred that already. Sarah was in some of her classes, but she had never attempted to talk to the other girl; rock chick was not the same as bimbo, true, but it also was not the same as geek. But she seemed as funny and friendly as the Edwards twins. Points! Jade's associates were so far cool. Maybe she would not have to disapprove of him.
"Doesn't matter if it turns out to be serious! I want to know!!" She informed her twin. "It's only fair, you get to hear all about my hopeless crushes, I want to hear yours, too. Well, except that this isn't a hopeless crush. But you get the idea."
She pondered the dinner invitation. She had expected that if her brother were off having dinner with his new man's family that meant she would be home alone. And while she would miss him, that also gave her the chance to have the computer all to herself, so as much leveling as she desired. "You sure that wouldn't be awkward?" If Jeremy wanted her to come and Jade really didn't mind, then she supposed she would go, but she couldn't imagine that the Edwards parents really expected that bring your boyfriend to dinner would include his sister, even if she was his twin.

Jade laughed, "Awkward yes definitely, but since the invitation was Jeremy and a guest of his choosing if he didn't want to come alone." Jade said to her with a grin. "Well the choice is yours anyway, your welcome to come if you so wish, but its not a must come thing." Jade said to her.
"I personally think its a prelude to another trip." Alex said.
"Now that would not surprise me, they've been talking about going to see the family in Dublin since they got back from their trip to Australia last month." Jade said to him. "Check out the new person in my life to make sure that I'm safe to leave at home, before announcing a trip for a few weeks." Jade said Alex shook his head knowing that this was probably the case. "
"Or they could just want to meet Jeremy." Sarah said.
"This is the man who spies on his kids when their out of the house." Jade said to her. "It couldn't possibly be that easy." Jade said to her lifting his glasses to rube the bridge of his nose. "That hot chocolate on the way in was not a good idea its made me paranoid, I should stop reading into this thing..." Jade said more to himself than to the others.
"So is anyone here auditioning for the musical?" Jade asked.

Julia frowned, wrestling with whether or not she ought to go, "If you need the moral support..." She offered to Jeremy, then added, "But if you'd be more comfortable alone, I understand, I wouldn't want to have dinner with me, either."
She lost track of the conversation between Jade, Alex, Sarah and her brother as a pen came rolling to a stop at her feet. She stooped to pick it up, looking around for the owner and spotting a girl picking up books a few lockers away. She recognized Lily, but as usual with the other students had never considered talking to her before. But now that she clearly had the other girl's pen she supposed she ought to return it.
"Yeah, they probably just want to meet Jere," She agreed with Sarah, craning to see if Lily was looking in their direction. "Umm, hold on a sec, I'll be right back."
She hastened over to Lily, holding out the errant pen to it's owner. "Umm, I think this is yours?" She suggested. It didn't look as though anyone else nearby had dropped anything, and she was sure she would have noticed if any of the people she had been chatting with had thrown a pen at her.

Lily quickly turned her head, slightly startled, to face Julia. She looked as exuberant as ever, it was almost irritating on a day when Lily felt so low in herself. Lily quickly felt ashamed of even thinking Julia was a nuisance, especially when her schoolmate had been kind enough to bring her a dropped possession.
“Yep, looks like one of mine.” Lily said, examining the pen closely in Julia’s hand but knowing instantly that it was hers, before pinching the tip and pulling it out of the girl’s hand. “Thanks for bringing it over. Right now I’m not really sure how many people in this corridor would have done the same thing.” Lily let out a laugh that had more than a hint of despair buried within it, then slid her pen into a jacket pocket. She had noticed the slightly bizarre conversation that had been taking place just a few steps from her, and couldn’t have helped but overhear some of it.
“I don’t think we’ve ever really talked before, have we?” Lily asked, her morning lightened significantly by Julia’s one small act of charity. “Julia right? Did you have a good night last night? Seems like most people around here did.”

"Julia I would be honored if you'd be my side at dinner tonight. I'll need someone near by to prompt me, plus it might just give some bonus points knowing that were twins as well." Jeremy kissed Julia on the forehead before the pen came rolling in.
"Ahh ok, so its more like lets meet the guy who wants to corrupt our son and give him the third degree but when they see I'm so sweet and innocent they'll be like 'Oh yeah we're going out of town next month.' I'm not that worried about that though, I'm more worried about your sister, sometimes the sibling know how to push the right buttons." Which was true between the Warners and appearently with Jade and Alex as well but they had that third whammy known as the younger sister.
"Yeah just relax, normally I'd say just be yourself tonight but I don't think that would be a good thing." Jeremy joked, gently rubbing Jade's arm. "But if the conversation drags just plant a kiss on me at the table."
"I'll go for the chorus, they'll probably want men who can dance and that would be up my alley." Thinking of Jade in a sailor uniform or open shirt was quite a nice visual for the mind.

Jade smiled, "Never seen that particular musical, I'm more hairspray or lion king, something a little more contemporary or old and just fun." Jade added. "Grease now thats a cool musical." Jade said with a grin.
"I'd offer to pick you both up, but my car only has two seats, no really it does." Jade said to them. "It wouldn't be comfortable for you to be on the roof Julia, every time I braked you'd go flying over head, you might get to the house before us, but you wouldn't get their in one piece." Jade said with a rye smile.
"I always said our car decisions would come back to bite us." Alex said to him.
"Or I could just borrow the land rover." Jade said to him.
"You have no idea how close that is to the truth, SJ as our mother wrapped around her little finger, if we come across as spoilt, she would be catogorized as insanely spoilt." Jade said to him. "SJ is one to be worried about more than any one else, though if she takes a shine to you, she'll fight your corner until she's blue in the face." Jade added. "Depends on her mood... home schooled even now, where as we talked our parents into letting us come here, she liked being able to do her work then relax at home, or go out with her friends, and shop till she drops." Jade added.
"We thought our wardrobes were big, SJ's has its own time zone changes." Alex said to them with a grin.
"Oh hey." Jade said to the girl who had just joined them. "Don't worry you aren't having a bout of double vision, and we don't do the Weasley twins trick, unless we are really bored." Jade said with a grin. "I'm Jade." he added from where he stood.

"Yeah, well," Julia's glance slid over to her brother and Jade, "Some of them are a little distracted at the moment." She wasn't sure Jeremy would even notice if someone's writing utensil landed at his feet...or text book, or car, or anything else. He was very much absorbed in his little world with his new guy. Which was nice and all, but she was still annoyed at him for not telling her he was interested in someone, or maybe at least that he was interested in guys. Did he think she would flip out on him? That she was okay with her best friend being gay, but not her brother? Or had he just assumed she already knew? Because she did not read minds.
She shook her head in response to Lily's question, "No, I don't think we have." She admitted. She hadn't really talked to very many people until she'd met Connor; it was as though he'd suddenly introduced her to the joys of social interactions with people who were not her twin or her guildmates, and she honestly kind of liked it. "Last night was good, just hung out with friends." She hadn't known most of them before that day, but she definitely considered them friends now. "What about you?" The other girl sounded a little down, but she didn't know how to ask someone she didn't know what was wrong without sounding nosy.
She laughed at the visual of flying off Jade's car. "You sure? Flying could be fun, and then I can replace all the limbs I lost with robotics. And then I would be the most popular girl at school, right, who doesn't love a girl with a gatling gun for an arm?"

Jade's blank look at the gatling gun statement probably would have told her that she had lost him completely, "You lost me on the gatlin gun film reference, science fiction definitely." Jade said looking at Jeremy for some help he didn't want to be rude to Julia, but he had absolutely no idea what she was talking about either.
"I suppose we could drive with the doors open that way you'd have something to hang onto." Jade said to her. "Of course that would ruin the air conditioning system for anyone inside the car, though its not hot as it usually is here today." Jade said.
"What are two teenage boys to do, when their parents go you can have any car you want, so long as it isn't a Bugatti Veyron." Jade said to her. "I mean you could be sensible and go for a four door hatchbackk, or a land rover, or you could do what we did, be inpractical and get a chick or guy magnet with two seats, and very little room for very much else. A sat nav that normally leads me to places I don't need to be, rather than places I want to be, that gets old real quick." Jade said Alex giggled.
"Bro its not the sat nav's thought that you were born without a sense of direction, any one who watches top gear, Jade gives captain slow a run for his money." Alex said Jade growled playfully at his brother.
"And yet my car hasn't had to go in for a service yet, yours has." Jade said to him.
"Low bro, low." Alex said.

"Thats all I need, my sis as The Terminator," Jeremy shuddered. "She's impossible to live with now, ok sometimes impossible!" He thought for a moment. "Although there was that chick Rose McGowan played in 'Planet Terror' with the gun for a leg, didn't do a thing for me but I know a few guys found that quite hot."
"Better idea, she's tiny enough we could shove her in the trunk, it's not that long of a trip." Yes he was at it again, ruffling Julia's feathers. Anything to get a rise from her.
Jeremy had a few thoughts of what teen boys could do when the folks weren't around but he if were to mention them, he could get a slap or else get ratted on.
"I could try and wrangle my dad into letting me drive the Escalade." This would be like pulling teeth and big time but if he gave a good explanation and Julia doing well whatever she did to get something, it was an almost fool proof idea.
"A two seater car could be nice, not only cozy and romantic but you get lost there's a built in excuse as to why dinner by the Spanish Inquizition was missed." He grinned a cheeky grin.

Jade grinned at him, "My sense of direction has got me out of a company dinner, or family party once or twice, if theres a party that we have to be at, I go with Alex, my parents won't have it any other way. It used to be a party trick, if I came on my own and managed to get there inside three hours." Jade said seriously. "It got old after the first three parties." Jade said. "Well for our parents anyway." Jade added. "I am never the designated driver, careful I maybe, but if their is a way for me to go up a one way street the wrong way..." Jade said with a chuckle.
"Two seater cars are good for somethings, but they don't have a lot of space in them, and you couldn't sleep in one of them comfortably." Jade said to him. "Probably should have thought about that before telling our parents we wanted matching cars." Jade said with a grin. "I like your car anyway, it may not have air conditioning, but its a classic looking car, and anything that has the winchesters driving it is cool." Jade said to him.
"Why do I think thats a gay thing?" Alex teased.
"Well you watch Supernatural for the action, so do I." Jade said to him Alex frowned and Jade smiled.
"Thats just so wrong." Alex said with a smile.
