So Miami and I were talking, and I realized I don't know the answer to this question for most people, so Imma be real, real nosy!
My answer:
Anna invited me. Or rather, we knew one another from a different RPG, and when that one died she sent me to one of her threads on Silver (back when it was Time of Your Life and on yahoo.) and I thought it looked fun and decided to join. :3 I was nervous at first, because I'm used to EPIC FANTASY QUEST/VAMPIRE WAR games and I despised high school back when I had to live it, but it turns out that "real life" is pretty fun.
Soooo, how'd everyone else find us?

my vote was ad list which was on the original list. I made friends with Dry, but I couldn't handle how rules oriented the first owner was. When Dry took over she asked me to try the new management. I love most of the mods and this is a great group not only to write in, but also read in.

I was looking around for some sort of diversion, but like Dry my background is mostly in fantasy type stuffs. However, I liked the look and layout of this site, the wiki was very accessible, and I decided to give it a shot. I'm glad I did!

Les and another friend pulled me into this game when it was under previous management (who'd gotten it from previous management at that. Game's passed through a lot of hands, but this Mod's stayin' around I think. Or I'll poke her. In the side. With a candy cane.)
It's good to be here, good group of writers from diverse styles. It makes me happy to know that we can all come together and create a California that's about the approximate size of Rhode Island. (because yeah, we shrank the state!) I like that we can still have our fantasy elements (ghost hunting, vampire/werewolf wars) I've even been toying with a "wiccan" who subscribes to the belief that spells do work. But I've got four characters. I'm cut off.
It's a good, happy thing we have going here. I'm proud and honored to call you all friends.

Many moons ago, I joined when the game was on Yahoo and had different management. In fact my first character was Greg. I really had no intention of making as many as I have now but its fun to get diverse with people and write with different 'tudes.  Les |

Yeah, Anna, the more the merrier. ^_~ And of course I don't plan on going anywhere, so unless something awful and unexpected happens IRL, you're stuck with me. I was happy to take on the admin duties when Mia decided to go and I'm still happy to help keep the game running -- although admittedly, if everyone weren't so helpful I would probably have burnt out by now. All that admin stuff can take up so much time. But it's definitely worth it, I love this place. haha.
And I'm also glad that you gave us a shot, Miami. And that you returned, Ar -- I miiiiissed you while you were gone. :3

I found the game originally through an ad. Then as Dry mentioned it was on yahoo and called 'Time of our lives'. I was a member before the game started. Mia made me a mod to help when the game began. I actually created the Gossip Girl concept and helped with superlatives, awards and helped Mia decide to add in Gould characters, along with the other mods of course. However, my schedule soon became very bad and I had to leave the game.
Then months later Dry IM'd me and told me about the game and that she was now in charge and Dry invited me back since my schedule was clear again. I love this game. Izzy, Haley, Jett and Mal were some of my original Characters....I adopted them back. I love this game and the new management. I think Dry and the other mods, did a great job of keeping the game going and making it its own game now...
