I found this place through an ad when we were on Yahoo... way back at the beginning of the year some time...
When the original management decided to cut and run to a new sim, we were lucky to keep the majority of our players, we were lucky to keep most of our mod staff. Through the ups and downs of 2009 we have continued to grow and develop into one of the most active sims that I've seen out there.
There are sims that claim to be as active as we are in a week, but very few actualy maintain the levels we do week in week out... and while Miami and Dry and Isaac as well as their army of mods can take some credit for that. The credit for making this place such a fantastic place to play, goes solely to the people who write the story's our mundane players. A sim is only as good as the people we have writing in it, we could have the best mods and admins out there, but without our players we wouldn't be here.
Heres to as good a 2010 as 2009.

Owen is right, I can't really take credit for the activity levels. ;3 The game was already active when Mia left, so really I haven't done anything except continue playing. >.>; And Les and Owen do the advertising, so credit for the success of that go to the two of them.
But still, it warms my black little heart to see activity/enjoyment from everyone else. I mean, I may be unable to take credit for the game's success, but I could certainly behave in a way to scare of players and cause it to fail. So I'm glad that hasn't happened yet.
Anyway, it's interesting to see what makes people decide to join a game. I'm not surprised to see friends ranking up there, since that's usually how I find the games I join. I pretty rarely join based on adverts -- though, it has happened.
