For anything in which you didn’t want to be caught, such as breaking and entering, cheating on your end of year Algebra exam, or even more importantly, pranking your school cheerleaders, stealth and secrecy were important tools to employ. Unfortunately, stealth and secrecy, not to mention a little thing called silence, were all things Evan knew little about, nor cared for.
And so it was a very loud, very excited and very enthusiastic Evan who, along with Brittany sitting shotgun beside him came hooning into the almost empty school parking lot. Spotting his friends waiting straight off the bat, he changing the direction of his hooning, aiming at them instead, stopping short just before he crushed all his friends underneath the van.
And of course he was excited, they were about to pull off the prank of the year! And, not as well known, he and Brit just had sex in the back of the van. He wondered if he could convince her to come with him to return the animals that night, if she wouldn’t realise his intentions were actually for another performance. She probably would work it out, he liked to think she was the Brain to his Pinky after all.
Leaning over the seat to kiss his girlfriend enthusiastically, it was only another second before Evan was out of the van, and bouncing on his feet on proper ground. “This is so cool!” he grinned at the small group in front of him. “Okay, we’ve got ourselves a goat, two pigs, four chickens, a rooster, and me. So, yay!” he laughed. “Oh, one sec.”
Rushing around to Brittany’s side, he opened her door, helping her out before moving to the back of the van. “Okay, practice would have started, so we’ve gotta get going. Feels kinda risky, letting me organise this.” he smirked. “Everyone grab an animal and let’s do this. They’ve got like rope around them, to help lead them. Bit easier than carrying the goat. Bags a pig! Oh, and we have to return the animals when we’re done. Figure it should be easy, everyone will flee the locker room soon enough. I’m excited, can’t you tell? Here piggy piggy piggy.” And, with nothing further, he opened the van’s doors.

Connor had been looking forward to the afternoon himself, but more for the chance to see Kian again, and to get to know his boyfriend’s friends a bit better. Seeing how they were spending so much time together, he thought they should try to be a bit more social with the whole thing, like actually hang out with other people too. And this gave them the best of both worlds.
And Kian’s friends were all pretty cool so far, none of them seemed the slightest bit put off by the fact that they were obviously gay. Except for Patch, though Kian explained to him that their sexuality wasn’t an issue, Patch just didn’t embrace the whole couple, touchy feely, showing affection thing. Which was why, for his benefit, Connor didn’t do anything further than hold his boyfriend’s hand.
The prank would be fun though, the Irishman having no worry about them getting caught. It seemed liked Evan did this sort of thing all the time with some success, so they were relatively safe, he decided. And the chance to take photos of the whole thing was very tempting.
Like any sane person, he took just the smallest of steps back when the van came to a stop before them, Evan hurtling out and rushing out words Connor just managed to make out. “I vote for getting a chicken.” he laughed, thinking that would be the easiest to control while still trying to take photos. And so reluctantly, he let go of Kian’s hand, moving to the back and as soon as the doors were opened, started snapping at the rather comical scene of all the animals squished in the back.

Kian grinned as Evan careened towards them. He trusted his friend, but he wasn't as stupid as he looked, so he too stepped back with Connor when the van didn't stop quite as early as was comfortable. He laughed nervously as they stepped forward to listen to Evan's rather loose plan.
"Is Mal going to have a place where she can get the cheer squad's reactions to the animals?" Kian asked because he really couldn't envision Connor in the girl's locker room while they were in there. "We should have Brit go in an make sure there is no one in there before we go in too." He was terrified of the girl's PE teachers, they were just plain mean.
When Connor went to grab a chicken but started taking pictures instead, Kian chuckled. "I'll grab two chickens so you can do your thing, Love," he offered and approached the open double doors with a certain amount of trepidation. He was definitely a city boy, but he had watched enough episodes of Green Acres and Beverly Hillbillies that he thought he could manage this. A rather sleepy hen was procured and then with a bit more difficulty and several rather painful peck's later, he had the rooster who indignantly crowed at him, but settled down to give the hen rather soulful looks. Kian turned to get his picture taken with a pained smile.

Brittany squeezed her eyes shut as Evan came to a halt. The whole road trip had been a blast. Brittany already thought the animals were often and had made particular friends with the goat as he had repeatedly tried to stick his head in her lap on the drive back. Also there had been the whole sex thing in the back of the van before they'd gotten the animals. Brittany made a mental note to give the Baxter's an extra thank you for giving them the use of the van, of course without letting them know that happened. They might have been some of her best friends but no way was she divulging that information.
She kissed Evan back, although she felt sort of bad about it. Even though they were still in the safety of the van, she was sure the others could see the kiss and she knew about how Patch especially reacted to that sort of thing, which was why she tried to act non-couplely with Evan when Patch was around. She wouldn't want her boyfriend's best friend to start hating her.
Always the gentleman, Evan ran around and opened her door for her, before she had the chance to do it herself. She thanked him of course, before following him around to the back to get the animals out. Nodding at the rest of the group, she offered a simple, "Hey guys," with a smile, after all, she was excited about this. As the others started grabbing the animals to bring inside, she went of her goat, holding him safely on his leash.
"Yeah, no problem, I can go in there first, to make sure the coast is clear," she said. "Mal, you wanna come too and set up the camera somewhere or are you just gonna hold it and film the whole time?" Brittany knew that Mal would get better footage if she held the camera but she'd also have a way better chance of getting caught. If she just set the camera up somewhere, she could grab it later and unnoticed.
Patting the goat on the head, she smiled. She was so ready for this!

Patch was lounging against the wall, earbuds firmly in place and hands jammed into his pockets, waiting for Evan and Brittany to return with the animals. He'd immediately recognized Kian's new boyfriend as the same horrible individual who had taken pictures of him and Evan getting beat up by Jessica, so he had given the other a rather strained greeting before hurrying to hide in his music. At least the pair managed to keep off one another, that was decent of them and raised his opinion of Connor just slightly, though he was still put out over the pictures -- and the laughing that had accompanied their presentation.
While everyone else dove away from Evan's careening arrival, Patch darted forward, turning the volume down on his mp3 player. "Dude, you made it!" He grinned excitedly, tearing around to the back of the van to admire the bountiful selection. Oh, he could not wait for the results of this prank! It was going to be nothing short of hilarious. In fact, he was sure it would rival the exploding cake in terms of best pranks pulled that year. Unless one counted all the pranks they were sure to pull before the rest of the semester was out, the pranks they hadn't planned but which would surely outrank one another until they ended graduation (well, his graduation; the rest of the gang were all Juniors) with a prank of epic proportions.
He bounced impatiently, waiting for Kian and Connor and Brittany to grab their respective animals before claiming the one remaining pig. "This is gonna be so boss," He exclaimed happily, eager to get started. But they had to wait for the chicks to make sure the locker room was empty, first, and as much as he wanted to get started he certainly didn't want to accidentally walk in on any of the girls changing. That would be too awkward and uncomfortable. For him, anyway.

Mal had been counting down the days, hours, minutes, even seconds until it was time for this prank. No one would be able to top this in her mind. And it's not like Aly Durrand could think of any sort of revenge to get back at them. When it came to Pranks, in Mal's mind Aly was an amateur. Mal made sure her camera was charged and the tape was clean. This would be posted by tonight. It was sure to be a hit. Everyone seemed to love prank videos.
Mal showed up with a bounce in her step. She eyed Patch and could not help, but sneak up behind him. "Why DJ Fluff have you decided to give in to the ways of my music yet." She said from behind him. Mal let out a laugh as the others arrived. When Kain spoke about her and her camera she just smiled, "Oh I always have good angles. I am sneaky like that. There is this perfect spot by the bleachers in the corner. You can see everything. I have been scoping it out all week to find the right spot. Only problem is I might need a look out." She told them.
Sure it was easier to put the camera some where and come back for it, but that always got very tricky. Because sometimes coming back for the camera was harder then it seemed. Besides Mal liked having control of her own camera. She was able to get much better angel's that was. "I am thinking of calling this video 'A day at the zoo' What do you guys think of the title?" Mal asked the group.
Mal nodded as Brit spoke. "Sure lets get this prank over with. I hope the cheerleaders enjoy these little creatures. They are so cute. i can't imagine anyone being scared of them." She said knowing it was not that the cheerleaders would be scared, but animals running around the school, was sure to stop practice. As long as they did not get caught, Mal was sure this would be a prank to remember. "I almost feel guilty pulling this prank. Who is ever going to top it." She said as she started laughing.

Throwing a mock dirty look at Patch, Evan couldn’t hold it for long before joining his best friend in exuberant bouncing around. “Of course I made it! It’s me we’re talking about here! And Brit too, she helped a lot.” he quickly corrected. He just didn’t need to explain all the details about how she helped. He couldn’t help but grin more though, when he saw Brittany go straight for the goat. The goat who had been attempting to pull moves on her all drive back. He couldn’t blame the kid.
“See, when we all work together and stuff, cool things happen! Feels like a Disney movie. But a cool one. Well, Lion King was cool, and we’ve got animals too. Wonder if they sing.” Grabbing the pig to him, holding it as if it was more a baby, Evan grinned excitedly at his friends. “Sure you don’t need me to come in with you and Mal, babe? Help check the locker room is clear? Hey, only kidding!” he cleared up at his girlfriend’s look, taking a step back to be out of harms’ way. “Don’t hit me, got a piggy, don’t want to hurt the piggy now.”
“Day at the zoo...got a ring to it. Make sure you put mad music to it though, music makes the vid after all. So get Patch to help you with that.” he teased Mal lightly, though the real heavy ‘you have no taste in music’ taunting was best left to his best friend. “But they are cute, aren’t they?” he decided, holding the pig out in front of him, studying it. “Mine’s more of a piglet, cause aren’t they meant to get a lot bigger and heavier? And it’s so cute. I think I’ll call you Bacon. Like that name, Bacon? Ok, here’s the game plan B. There’s going to be one cheerleader, blonde, taller than you but not as cute. She’ll probably be the one bossing everyone around. I want you to ignore everyone else, and go for her. Maybe bite her ankles, wee on her shoes, got it? That’s a good Bacon, good pig!”
Moving Bacon comfortably back into his arms, he looked around once more at his friends. “Come on people, you’ve could have at least dressed more stealthily, I mean, what if you come across a palm tree, how are you supposed to blend in?” With a laugh, he started moving towards the school. “Come on Mal, start shooting, Photo Dude, start clicking, Patch, keep being awesome, Brit, keep looking hot, Kian, try not to get pecked to death. Let’s go people!”

“Thanks. Guess that means I owe you one.” Connor grinned happily, grateful for Kian minding his chicken. Partly because not having a bird to keep an eye on would make it a lot easier to take photos. And also because he actually wasn’t all that keen on ferrying one of them around. And it seemed for good reason too, when he saw the rooster get stuck into his boyfriend. And the look on his face post-attack was just too cute to ignore, so Connor quickly took a few snaps.
He then turned to everyone else and starting taking photos of them and their animals, getting a few very good ones at that. There was Patch and his pig standing forlornly behind him, Brit and a goat who seemed quite taken with her and Mal excitedly fiddling with her camera. Then there was Evan, who was either about to kiss or eat his pig, Connor wasn’t too sure.
And with that done, he started trailing after Evan, finding everyone’s enthusiasm catching. He was tempted to ask how they were meant to collect all the animals after the prank, while avoid being caught, but decided not to put a damper on things yet. They would cross that bridge when they got to it. “Uh, Patch, I think your pig is trying to eat your shoe.” Either that, or mate with it.

Kian was so busy trying to avoid the rooster's beak he had missed a lot of what was happening. He turned to look to see Patch's shoes being eaten as Britt brought out her goat and began to laugh almost losing the chickens. Hanging from the goats mouth and being masticated was a black bra. "Oh Britt? Exactly how well did you get to know the farm animals?" he asked, gasping for air between laughter and words.
He had to sneak a peak at Patches expression, sure it was bound to be amazing and then headed towards the side door, careful to peer in through the glass to make sure no one was in the hall before working on getting it open while holding two barnyard fowl. He wished they had gotten bunnies instead of chickens. He thought he might have to have chicken pot pie for dinner if the damned male didn't stop pecking him.

When Evan mentioned going into the locker room with the girls, a simple look got him to change his tune. Not the Brit was seriously mad or anything, she was more joking, as she assumed he'd been. Other than that, she waiting just listening to the exchange between her friends as they got ready for the prank. It would indeed be awesome and she was very excited.
As for her goat, if she had noticed it was eating her bra, she would have been mortified, but the fact of the matter was before they'd even picked up the animals, it had gone missing. They'd looked all over the back of the van, but perhaps it had hidden deep under one of the seats or something. Either way, they hadn't had time to locate it because they'd had to hurry to make sure to pick up the animals so that they'd still get back on time.
However, when Kian said something, Brittany looked down at the goat to see that it had somehow found what she hadn't been able to. She quickly snatched it out of his mouth and threw it in the truck. "Man, I'm really going to have to talk to those Baxter boys about what they're using this van for when the band doesn't need it," she said, shaking her head and playing it cool. But before her face could turn bright red, which it undoubtedly would, she added, "Anyway, everyone got their animals? Better go ahead and check that locker room..."
And with that she took off in the front of the group, mortified, and kind of wishing she hadn't befriended the damn goat. She should have known better, they really will eat anything...
