Soooo the cheerleaders from both schools were going to team up. Xavier's wheels were turning, there was nothing like watching a bunch of hot girls shaking their money makers and get themselves all worked up.
He took extra time to check himself out making sure all eyes were going to be on him. He unbuttoned the top two buttons on his shirt, did a quick gel of his hair then looked in the mirror and gave himself a cocky grin. He knew he was looking good. He thought about the red haired dame he had met earlier that morning, she was a hot one but also clever and manipulative, he had to be careful around her.
He took out his phone and called home. "Hey mom, I'll be a little late tonight, had some school activities come up. I'll see you when I get home." His folks had no idea how he acted at school.
He tossed his books into his locker and slammed it shut and started towards the gym where he knew they would be practicing. Sure enough there were a couple of them there talking about who was doing what during what time, he'd leave them alone. He'd strike one of the others coming in.
Sure enough there was a couple more coming in, god he felt like a sheik. He waited till they were in his target range. He laid on the charm, extra thick. "Hello, can't wait to see what you fine foxy ladies have in store." His left eyebrow arched slightly.

Dressed immaculately in her uniform, Bree grabbed her pom poms and slammed her locker shut, with a twist of the combination lock before heading out to the gymnasium. She was excited that they were having a joint practice. She was very interested in the possibility of the schools being merged and their teams working together after past rivalry could be something that affected that positively.
Her long red hair gleamed like burgundy silk as it swung down her back as she veered to avoid a young man she didn't recognize. The girls walking with her giggled when he gave a rather dated first-liner. Bree rolled her eyes and continued on her way. She was going to lead at least one of the cheers as one of the most experienced leaders and she wanted a moment to gather her thoughts.
She waved to a couple of friends in the stands and called out "Don't forget about brunch on Saturday." She didn't know if she would see them later in the week and wanted to take the opportunities as they came to remind people. She looked back towards the doors and saw her team mates still clustered around the new male. She couldn't tell if their giggles were flirtatious or denigrating. She couldn't help but roll her eyes again.

It had been the first afternoon Tyler had completely free for a while, so he planned on making use of it. Being such a good model footballer, he thought it only fair he go by the cheerleader practice, lend his support. And seeing how there was going to be twice as many cheerleaders, it just meant twice as much incentive. Not that he felt too much like womanising, oddly enough. Maggy had been on his mind almost all day, which was quite an uncomfortable and unusual feeling.
And he hadn’t caught up with Bree for a while, seeing how she was one of his closest friends, he reasoned he should make an effort. And even Sloane too, there was always a chance she would be there lusting after the cheerleaders. If she was, he might even convince her to go out drinking with him that night. He generally preferred to not drink alone, and he doubted that pastime was something he could interest Bree in.
Walking into the gym, a grin graced his face as he looked upon the scores of cheerleaders, some turning to him, clearly interested. Oh, he loved being him. He spotted the redhead right off, and he thought she spotted him, but realised that another guy to her left, a junior, had her attention. And not for good reason, it seemed, when he caught the eye roll.
Straightening his Letterman jacket, he called out to his friend, waving to get her attention. And then his attention turned to the man at his side, his expression not as friendly now. If he was bothering Bree, Tyler would deal with it. “Sorry, but this is a closed practice, cheerleaders and their guests. Would you like me to show you out?”

Bree smiled when she spotted Tyler entering. She started moving towards him and began to laugh as he started to harass the newcomer. She stood on her toes and hugged Tyler around the neck. "Hey handsome, where have you been all my life?" she said in a sultry purr, teasing him and showing him he had been missed. She caught the surprised looks of her team mates and fearing they would spread it all over school and Maggy would get upset, she frowned at them. "We're just friends, get over it", she said with a glare.
Slipping her hand into Tyler's, Bree grinned up at him. "So to what do we owe the pleasure of your company? I have been missing your handsome face. Are things going well between you and Maggy? All I have heard was like fifth hand. So it is probably not the truth."

What was it about red heads that could make a man's blood boil? The girl who avoided him was even colder than Melodee was and that made her much more prized in Xavier's book. Still with the small group around him, he was still feeling very secure or at least till Tyler had showed up.
His face went from a cocky, carefree spirit to one of a man with something to prove. He went to stand up to the senior when the crimson haired girl came between them. He let them have their moment, and that was it.
He gently put his hands on her shoulders, wanting her to get out of the way. "Sorry to break this ever so romantic scene apart but I got a few words for Pretty Boy Flloyd here." Ok so Tyler had a couple inches more on him but Xavier had been in the ring with bigger guys before. "I don't see what your problem is, after all, nothing happened just some harmless fun," he was getting ballsy. "As for being close, I don't remember seeing anything saying that, and besides maybe I was invited." Then he did it.
He poked Tyler hard in the chest.
"So why don't you just mind your own business?" Xavier wasn't backing down.

Bree’s welcome, while not expected, was very much welcome. It was hard not to enjoy someone being excited to see you, and Bree was very much so, it was obvious. Tyler had to admit, he had missed his friend, and it was good to see her again. Seeing how she was one of the few platonic relationships he had with the fairer sex. And even hand holding was bearable when it was with a friend. So, he did what he did best. Ignore the guy, focus on the girl.
“Actually, I realised it’s been a little while since we’ve hung out, given the current situation and distractions, and well, I wanted to check in on you.” he admittedly sheepishly. “And I’ve been missing your beautiful features as well. I have to say, seeing you up close in the cheerleader outfit, definitely doing things for me. Do you have any pom poms?” Laughing, he smirked at the redhead. “Relax, I’m just teasing. I like you too much to try anything, you can do much better than me.”
“Well, normally that’s true, but in my case, anything could be possible.” Tyler chuckled at the talk of rumours. “Let’s see, we’ve had two dates now, though she should be attending your brunch, so I guess that means it would be counted as a third? Which makes it almost the most amount of dates I’ve had with one girl.” he smirked. “And we haven’t done more than kiss, and tamely at that, which is new for me. And odd.” he admitted, just a little confused as to why they hadn’t got further.
He glanced around at the other cheerleaders, idly wondering if any of them could help take his mind off matters. “We’ve agreed to keep things casual too, date others if we wish. I can’t see her dating another though, which I quite like the idea of. But it is wrong of me to still be glad I can sleep around?” he laughed, not intending for an actual answer. “What are the rumours you’ve heard?” And lowering his voice, he become the most comforting he felt right with being. “And how are you Bree? How are you handling things?”
But before the girl could answer, the boy just had to get involved, and Tyler didn’t bother hiding the annoyance on his face. Letting go of Bree’s hand as Xavier ‘helped’ he move away, he stared down at the junior, a smirk lighting his features. “Pretty Boy Flloyd? Have to give it to you, that’s a new one. Not good, but still, originality counts. Harmless fun to you maybe, but these ladies are trying to practice, not have some perve lust after them. And I doubt that anyone else in attendance would want you here.”
And then the poke in the chest. That was just unnecessary. “If you are trying to act tough to impress anyone, I assure you, it won’t work.” he told Xavier, looking far from amused. “Bree, join in with the practice. And you...” he addressed Xavier, “Should learn to pick your fights much more carefully. Now, do I have to invite you to leave again, or should I walk you outside?”

Bree froze when unexpected hands fell on her shoulders. He wasn't rough or hurt her but it was unexpected. Her normally pale face went deathly pale. It was only Tyler's presence that kept her from totally embarrassing herself by screaming or fainting or something else equally humiliating.
While Tyler engaged the other boy, she turned away and went to rummage in her bag in hopes of hiding her terrified expression. Bree took slow deliberate breaths to calm her heart beat. It seemed like forever to her, but a few minutes later, she had herself under control enough to call the girls to the center. "Okay... let's get started. We have a couple of new routines to learn and we don't have that much time to learn them in." she called out, her voice ringing in the large gymnasium.

"It takes a perve to know a perve." Xavier shot back, his eyes locked on Tyler as if he were some cyborg out to destroy the world in his path. "After all they are certainly more entertaining than watching that looser of a football team your on." He smirked.
"This is no act, I'm not scared of you." He moved into Tyler's face. "And if you are calling me out," he motioned to the door. "Then there's the door your highness." His spoke in a smarmy sarcastic tone. "Just remember you'd be up against a five time golden gloves champ and beside," He talked in a mocking baby voice. "I wouldn't want anything to happen to that cute widdle baby face of yours!" He pinched one of Tyler's cheeks then followed that up with a slap on the face. Xavier could be a bastard when he wanted to be.
He crossed his arms over his chest. "Sorry to have rained on your parade but I think red there could pick a much better guy especially one who could easily buy and sell someone like that!" He snapped his fingers sharply in Tyler's face.

Tyler had never considered himself a perve, that term was much too crude for him. He just appreciated beauty, especially on a woman. And that was entirely different to going to a cheerleader practice to lust after the women assembled. He had much more class than that. Xavier wasn’t like him, that much could be said. “So much for school spirit. You are Gould, correct?” he smiled, not letting the other male get to him. No, he would enjoy that too much, and Tyler wasn’t going to let him win.
When Xavier motioned to the door, Tyler kept his eyes locked on him, not wanting to give him any opportunity in the slightest to make a move. Besides, though he could hear Bree starting practice, he was sure his friend was keeping an eye on them both, and he knew she, in the frail state she was in, wouldn’t react well to a fight. As much as he would love to wipe that smug grin off Xavier’s face, he would have to play things carefully.
“Take a step back.” he warned in a low voice, but the slap to his face was enough to break his facade of calmness. No one spoke to, nor hit, Tyler Durnham like that and got away with it. “You really must have a low opinion of yourself, if you feel you have to talk yourself up at every given opportunity. I don’t have that problem. Really, no wonder none of the ladies here are interested in you. And for the record, I’m not afraid of you either.
He really didn’t like this guy. “Learn some respect. ‘Red’ happens to be a very close friend of mine, and she does have a name, not that I would want you talking to her, ever. She has taste though, she wouldn’t lower herself to that. I may be a...perve, but at least I know how to treat a woman. Not the way a sleazeball like you does. And you don’t buy people. You earn their respect. Again, something I’m sure you know nothing about.” He and the blonde couldn’t be any more different. It was amazing, sure, they were both womanisers, but whereas he had nothing but admiration for Jasper Hastings, someone similar to himself, he held nothing but disdain for Xavier. Tyler might not have a heart of gold, but he treated women properly (generally speaking. Sure he enjoyed sex as often as he could get it, but he had never treated a woman as if that was all she was to him, matter of decency after all), something his father had instilled in him, and something he was quite proud of. “But, congratulations, you have money. Like half the people here. Quite an accomplishment. Now, stop disturbing the practice.”

Bree began having them repeat each line after she said it and copy her motions
"Come on Gold and Silver fans in the stands Let us see you clap your hands," she called out and then clapped in a rhythmic manner. *(clap)(clap)(clap)(clap)(clap)(clap)(clap)*
"Now that you got the beat, let us see you stomp your feet," this time stomping her feet. *(stomp)(stomp)(stomp)(stomp)(stomp)(stomp)(stomp)*
"Now that you got the groove, let me see your body move," snaking to the right. *oo aahh aahh aahh oo ahh ahh oo,* somewhat moaning in a sexy manner
"One more time!!!," snaking to the left. *oo ahh ahh ahh oo ahh ahh ahh oo.*
"Hey, that's great, now let's put it all together. Should we grab our pom poms after clapping so we can shake them while stomping?" she asked, wanting the team to have input into the choreographing process. Only the Junior and Senior team members were allowed to develop new cheers, which Bree thought was a shame.
As they started the repeat, she began to worry about the increase in rancor between the two young men at the door. Luckily there weren't any dangerous stunts in the cheer or some of the girls might have gotten hurt as she wasn't the only one keeping track.
