As soon as the lunch bell went of, Jade headed for his locker, though it was over cast, Jade decided to take his lunch outside, he had no wish to be around the people in the cafeteria. Jade's experience with the girl in the cafeteria had been enough to make his day rotten. Jeremy had been enough of a presence to calm him down before the classes took over his mroning. Alex had done the rest as they worked together in the classes that they shared. They shared most of their classe, though some of the teachers had insisted that they be seperated for there classes, in the vain hope of being able to tell the two apart.
What hope did there teachers have if the twins parents couldn't even tell them apart, nor could there boyfriend or girlfriend for that matter. Jade slipped out of the school looking up at the sky which was still over cast, though the heat told him that it hadn't cooled from the morning. Jade trudged his way through the couples on the green outside the school, until he found a good spot to plop himself down, going through the bag he had with him for his sandwiches and desert. The cooks had done them both food for school today, though they had not told their parents that they had asked for this to be done.
His parents were of the opinion that their children should eat the food that the school had on offer, they didn't think that the food could be that bad at the school. Despite the evidence to the contrary.

Sunar leaned up against the wall, food ignored in favor of trying his hand at the very beautiful grey and bleak city landscape. Backgrounds, architecture, and other inanimate objects were not his favorite things to draw -- in fact, he much preferred humans and the occasional animal -- but he had determined that he ought to practice those things he didn't care for as much every now and again. Sadly, his excersize wasn't going quite as well as he had hoped, and he'd ruined several pages of perfectly good note paper already. So when he spotted Jade Edwards, he decided to cease his scribblings for the moment and go chat with the other (richer) boy.
"Hey," He waved vigorously, hoping to get the Irish boy's attention, "I haven't seen you in ages, well, I guess that's not too surprising, not at the same school and all, but we are now, so I can't believe I haven't seen you since." He seated himself beside the other boy without waiting for an invitation, and continued, "Did you go to the memorial? It was sad, but it was a nice memorial, wasn't it?"
He glanced over at the bag Jade was rummaging through, "Whatcha got there? Anything good? Anything's better than cafeteria food, if you can even call it food."

Jade smiled at the asian lad with a smile on his face, "I'm good thanks Sunar, well as good as can be expected after being shot anyway." Jade pointed out with a smile. "I was at the memorial, though I shouldn't have been, someone had to hijack me from my hospital bed to get there. The doctors weren't to happy with me when I got back to the hospital." he said to him with a smile.
It had taken a while to calm his parents to, they had been worried for some reason that he would be hurt further by being out of the hospital or some such reason they hadn't explained and wouldn't explain to him. It was kind of cool to know that they cared, it wasn't always apparent to any of their children that this was the case. He looked at a sandwich in his hand and gave a sniff.
"Roast beef salad sandwich I think, I had to persuade the kitchen staff to prepare food for me and Alex, our parents seem to like the idea of the school food. Said it couldn't be that bad." Jade told him. "I think its the Eton education that has made my parents delusional. Or something similar." he added. "Personally I prefer the idea of anything but school food." Jade told the boy with a grin.

“Shot?!” Sunar exclaimed in consternation. He hadn’t known that Jade had been one of those injured, and badly enough to go to the hospital, even! He had paid attention to the list of dead, but he hadn’t heard the list of injuries. “I’m glad you’re healed enough to be back at school!” He said fervently, shutting his notebook and setting it on the damp ground – he didn’t care too much if the cover got a bit wet, it was only the contents he was interested in.
“Roast beef salad?” Another question, but one with less heavy connotations. He had never heard of roast beef in the context of salad, and found the idea curious. “School food is horrible, you need to take some home to them as proof. Or they should come eat here. Although, that would be a bit odd, wouldn’t it be, to have parents eating in the cafeteria? I guess bring it home. Or we can write a letter and have everyone sign it, I’ll pass it around all my classes, assuring them that school food sucks and you need to bring your own lunch.”
He had to agree with the assessment that anything was better than school food. “Even road kill would be better!” He nodded vigorously, “Although I do eat the school lunch sometimes, but only because I’m hungry and sometimes forget to stop by the store.”

"I took a shot to my shoulder, hurt like hell when it happened, didn't do as much damage to my shoulder as it could have done. It will however be a while before I am back to my normal sunny self, they say about four months before I am able to continue with sports. Depending on how the physio goes, but its a couple of more weeks with any luck before I can get back behind the wheel of my car." He said which would be a couple of weeks to long for him but he would have to deal with it.
Jade snorted when Sunar suggested that he take a sample home with him for his parents taste, he thought that they had terrible taste in good food for sure, but even they would not try out what the school was serving. They had more sense than to try something that their children refused to eat, they just thought it would be better if they ate what the school had to offer than to have food prepared for them to take to school.
"My parents wouldn't feed this to the dogs trust me, I think they think that eating school food no matter how bad it is. Is a rights of passage thing or something." he said to Sunar with a smile. "Trust me the family pets eat better than the kids at this school do when they buy lunch in the cafeteria. I can count on one hand the number of times that I have had a meal at the school." Jade added.
"If I was driving I would normally stop of at the deli close to my home, but since I haven't been cleared to drive yet, and trust me I tried to drive last night. I was in agony afterwards, my injured arm does everything under protest." Jade said to him.

"That's really rough!" Sunar sympathized, "Not being able to drive, I mean, I don't drive, but I guess you couldn't do bikes, either, and I mean, how do you get around, you don't have to rely on your parents, do you, because that's just awful!" He shuddered visibly at the very thought of having to ask parents for a ride. But then, the Edwards were fabulously wealthy, so they could probably afford a chauffer, while the Chuganis wouldn't have been able to afford a personal driver unless they took out a loan. However, Sunar seemed to recall Jade mentioning that he wasn't that interested in flaunting his wealth, not like his twin brother was, so he probably would be reluctant to take advantage of servants.
"If I had your car, I would be upset I couldn't drive it, too!" He sighed, remembering the beautiful, beautiful vehicle Jade owned. It simply wasn't fair; most adults would have killed for that car, and here it belonged to a mere high schooler. A very priveleged high schooler, but a high schooler nonetheless.
"Four months is such a long time, too, that's pretty much the whole rest of the semester," He realized in consternation, counting on his hands, "It's almost March now soooo March, April, May, June. Yeah, we'll be out for the summer by the time you can play again, sucks, but at least that'll be in time for next year's try outs," He reasoned. He felt bad for the other boy; if he'd been shot in the shoulder that would have meant a temporary end to both gymnastics and drawing, neither of which he was prepared to give up for any length of time. "I'm skipping lunch today, but I can stop by the deli for you. Or maybe I'll stop by the grocery store, then perhaps I'll find mystery girl again." He mused; even though they'd been on a date (sort of) and he knew her name, he still liked referring to her as mystery girl. It gave their non-existant relationship an air of romance that it otherwise entirely lacked. Of course, that could possibly have been his fault for not speaking to her about his interest, but admitting that to her was hard, whereas making comments to his friends was easy. "Just tell me what you want!"

ooc: I was working on a couple of things on top of that post, the screw up was as a result of writing two different things close together. I didn't spot the mistake until it was pointed out.
ON
Jade smiled widely, "I was getting a lift into school from my brother, same car same colour same everything, but it was becoming a little difficult to do that because of conflicting schedules. So our parents decided to organise a car and a driver for me until I can use my arm to drive, I can do basic stuff with it right now. But lets just say its not pleasant moving it to much." he said to him. "But from what I can tell its going to leave a good scar." he added with a grin.
"No I'm good I don't need any food from the deli, we have really good cooks, or is it chef's, you know I honestly don't have a fricking clue what they are. But either way they know how to make excellent sandwiches, they do excellent food all over, but the sandwiches aren't that bad." he said to him raising a hand to his ear to scratch behind his hearing aid. The thing caused nothing but irritation behind his ear even if it did nothing but good and helped improve his level of hearing to some degree. "No matter how nice it is to get driven to school and home, I miss being able to drive to school. I can dictate just when I come home, when I'm driving, but at the moment thats not really the case unless I am with Jeremy." Jade told him with a smile on his face at talking of his boyfriend.

Sunar nodded approvingly at the talk of scars, "Epic! You can show off your war wound. And it really was sort of a war, wasn't it, only we weren't supposed to be participating...." He frowned; the memories of that day weren't the sort he wanted to relive, and while a scar was cool it would also be a reminder of a horrible day in California history.
"Chefs, cooks, whatever!" He waved a hand dismissively; he neither knew nor cared what the difference between the two was. "Maybe sandwich-eurs." He decided, "Since, you know, they make sandwiches and all. I dunno what you'd call that. Not important." Anyone could make a sandwich, but it took skill to make a really good sandwich. Skill and the best (read -- expensive) ingredients. For instance, Boar's Head meats and cheeses and fresh vegetables.
"Who's Jeremy?" He wondered. There was a boy named Jeremy in his grade -- Jeremy Donovan, in that punk band, but he went by J.J. and anyway, he had a difficult time imagining J.J. and Jade really getting along all that much. Not because J.J. wasn't a nice enough guy, but he would have given Jade a difficult time simply for the wealth at his fingertips. So the somewhat sappy smile Jade was making at the mention of this Jeremy seemed unlikely to be directed at Mr. Punk Rock.
