Legs crossed at the ankles, knees together, grey skirt just brushing over the knees, red hair perfect, cosmetics light and natural. Everything about Gould’s resident princess/entrepreneur screamed sense, fashion, and money. Right down to the expression on her face as she sat, back straight as an arrow, at one of the tables located in the school’s courtyard. The blue tooth phone attachment was snug against her ear and she looked very much like she would be frowning, if she wasn’t so conscious of how it would actually appear on her face and what wrinkles it would cause later.
A pink planer, which likely cost roughly around fifty or more US dollars and was obviously custom, was opened before her and a pen was clutched gracefully between long, slender fingers.
“That simply won’t do, Richard,” she “snapped” into the air. Her voice was chilled and it was plainly a business call. Her mind was focused and thus, all of the activities around her, of the other students coming and going, the teachers and general school staff, the Police who still patrolled the halls and grounds as though it would do something.
“No. You will get Ginger Riker that slot on Degeneress’ show.” No nonsense, cold, calculated. A breeze dared to dislodge a few strands of hair which were immediately patted back into place by smooth and artfully manicured hands. “Degeneress want’s a sit-down with Ginger, she’ll get her sit down, for nothing less than I’ve put into print. Ginger Treats will get it’s plug.”
Resisting the undignified urge to rap the tip of the pen against the paper calendar within the planner, Melodee took a slow, deep breath in through her nose and reminded herself not to grind her teeth. Why were the studio’s being so difficult about this. YES, technically it was crossing studio lines having the Food Network culinary goddess who rivaled domestic diva Stewart (in a friendly, we’re going to pretend we can stand each other’s company sort of way) head on over to another studio for a book and show plug. Her mother didn’t need it, but it was nice to remind the world that Ginger Riker was a personable, popular sort of person.
“Get it done, Richard.” The conversation was over. Just like that, and Melodee allowed herself a moment to relax. Slipping the pen back into it’s holder along the inner seam of the planner and closed it. Her fingers lingered on it’s cover for a moment as she removed the Bluetooth with her other hand and slipped it into her purse. There was more work involved in managing one’s own mother, or anyone, than most people would ever think to realize, but the teenage heiress was more than up to the task. Juggling it and a high school career, however, a little more than most people would want. Still, a nice challenge.
Sparing the sky a glance, she pursed her lips in thought. It would probably rain later, but hopefully not until she got back home.

Ray Bans over eyes?
Check.
The Armani salmon colored silk shirt with every thread in place?
Check.
Seams even and black socks with the dress shoes?
Check.
Xavier was in his groove and he knew it. He strutted down the halls like the owned the place. It seemed to be the same girls in the halls, nothing but a bore to him. Maybe there would be more action outside.
The warm wind ruffled his hair. He adjusted his glasses to keep his eyes covered. He saw a few possible candidates, granted a few looked younger than he liked though. Still he checked out the merchandise when he saw a red haired girl...make that woman dressed in blue. He lowered his sunglasses to observe her better.
She seemed to be a no nonsense sort of woman, the kind who always got him going. He approached her with some caution, in case she's go psycho on him or worse. He certainly didn't want to be in Richard's shoes at this moment.
He sat down across from her, lowering his sunglasses to the end of his nose. "If there's something I find highly erotic in a woman, its the sense of being in charge." He gave her a half grin on top of the cheese he had just dished out.

Her attention was pulled back to Earth, and subsequently to the teen who’d decided she obviously wanted company and had planted himself across from her. He dressed well enough, but his opening line could use some work. Particularly the delivery. If she didn’t have such tight control over her own appearance, her nose would have wrinkled and she likely would have scooted as far away from him as she could. However, Melodee never scooted.
It was only natural that he found her attractive, as she worked expertly with what she was given naturally. Everyone was attracted to her in some form or another. Everyone. It showed itself through different ways. Jealousy, lust, friendship, admiration, fidgeting. It wasn’t always about her, of course, but most of the time it was. And most of the time she was more than willing to bask in the glow of such fawning.
At that particular moment, however, Mel wanted a bit of peace. A moment to continue her contemplation about the next step for her mother. The woman’s career was solid, and would be until Ginger decided (or Melodee told her it was time) to step down from reign of culinary godhood. That wouldn’t be for a long time coming, however.
“You need to be cautious, then. Or she’ll walk right over you, leaving Choo prints on that silk shirt of yours.”

This one was as firey as a Texas Barbeque, or so grandpa Xavier would say. Still the red hair matched the attitude. For the mortal man it would mean they couldn't handle her, for Xavier it was only a mere obstacle.
She stayed quiet for several moments. It did make him wonder what was brewing in her mind. She didn't seem to be the slapping type unless it was a last resort nor did she seem like the type who would be going "Oh go get a life!" She was a tough egg that he wanted to crack.
At last she spoke!
The lopsided grin he had turned to a face a surprise. Everything would have turned nippy in anyone else's world but not Xavier. He cocked his head slightly. "And why would she want to do that to the most charming, handsome, richest guy in the school here?" It really should be said here, he had no idea who she was or that she equaled or even surpassed him when it came to money. "I have yet to meet any girl who turns down a chance to be with the Xavier Goodwin." He stated proudly.

The richest, best looking? It was even harder not to snort in a very unlady like, unprofessional manner at even that thought. It was a matter of opinion, and it seemed to be HIS opinion. Tyler was better looking and she knew pretty much what was in his bank account and exactly what his family was worth. This puffed up pretty boy was a relative unknown. She would, however, give him grudging credit for his attempts.
Not being exactly out of his league, but knowing that she just didn’t have time for any sort of relationship if she was going to push her worth a few extra comas. Though the strange, be speckled, colorful boy’s question… Lesbian.
There was nothing wrong with being a lesbian, she knew lesbians, was LIKED by lesbians. Had been hit on and asked out by them. So long as a person recognized that she was someone who deserved to be fawned over, then they were observant enough to at least be recognized.
“Then, Xavier, allow me to introduce myself so that you can say you’ve met one. Melodee Riker.” She did not offer her hand. Merely speaking to him should be enough of an acknowledgement. Though he dressed the part, he really needed to work on his lines. For a brief moment, Mel considered taking him under her wing as well. He wouldn’t need as much grooming as Judd did, but he could certainly use it.
No. She had enough of a challenge with Judd, who admittedly was coming along well. If only she could get him to work on that temper of his.

Playing the girl was like playing chess. One wrong move and everything would be over in an instant. Instead he figured to study her body language. Granted to him, no meant yes and yes meant "take me I'm all yours."
"Melodee, like the lovely tune from a charming old fashioned song from a more innocent time." That had to be impressive at least until he spurt out with. "Or else that hot blond drummer chick from 'Josie and the Pussycats'." That would be a cold shower for any man.
The warning bell reared its ugly head screaming "Get your butts to class!" Xavier checked his watch. "Hmm two minutes too early." He had to show off. "Yes its a genuine Rolex."
"I would hate to see a beautiful creature such as yourself run late for the wonderful world of classes." He put on his best gentleman facade. "May I escort milady to class or to her locker at the very least?" He held out his elbow to her.
If she turned his offer this time, he'd keep coming back until he either got tired or else she finally gave in.
He rarely tired out.
