The last Tuesday of the month which meant girls night out in the Meyers' household! For Sandy it meant a nice dinner out, shopping for a couple of hours then finishing up at a cafe over beverages and maybe a lemon poppy seed muffin of double chocolate chip cookie. All in all it was time with her mom.
The two ladies started their night at their favorite Italian restaurant, where they had a wonderful meal then it was to the mall to find an outfit for the breakfast coming up. The browsed a few stores and finally found one that had a decent selection.
Sandy found three that she liked and headed back to the dressing room. She tried on the first one and went out to show her mom, who was on the phone.
"Ohh I like that one, it brings out your eyes." Dixie commented setting the phone aside. "How about you?"
"So far this is the nice one, I picked one but it didn't seem to look right. I think this is the first time I know what I want without picking and choosing!" Sandy laughed.
She went back and changed and as she left the dressing room she bumped into someone. "Sorry, you ok?"

Rosalie had the evening free so she was doing her other favorite thing which was shopping. She had tried on a red dress that she loved how it looked on her. Smiling at the girl that bumped into her she put the dress in her other arm. "It is okay no harm no foul" she said. "I have seen you around school I am Rosalie Naples" she held out her hand to the girl. This girl was younger then her but that was cool with Rosalie, she was friends with everyone, treating everyone the same. She really wished that more peopled would do that, it would make life around school much more peaceful and drama free.
"Oohhh I love that is beautiful" she said noticing the outfit. "But if I maybe honest, you would look good in a dark blue color. It would compliment the skin tone and hair color perfectly" she said with a smile. She wanted the other girl to know she was being nice and not being a bitch, she was not mean. She tried not to mean and if she was by accident she apologized. "I hope I wasa not rude I was trying to help" she added.

There was no hard feelings from the other girl. "I thought I knew you from somewhere." Sandy replied, tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear. She gently took the other girl's hand. "I'm Sandy Meyers." She offered with a smile. She knew the girl was in one of the higher grades but high school meant making friends no matter where they fell.
"You think so? I liked it too but I also liked the emerald green one as well." She held up both dresses. "I was invited to a casual elegant brunch on Saturday. I want to look good but not over do it, I'm also trying to be practical and think of when I would wear the outfit again." She compared the two. "I didn't find it rude, its nice to get a second opinion." She did carefully check the blue dress. "With the right accessories this could easily be a formal as well." She had her mind made up. She saw the red dress on Rosalie's arm. "Looks like you have an event coming up as well."

"Yes my parents are having a formal dinner at our winery" Rosalie smiled. "I find myself drawn to red and black alot and the darker colors" she laughed and smiled. "I do wear pastel's sometimes but not to often compared to dark colors." She was glad the other girl was not offened by her advice. "I was thinking I could help you find something. You could find a nice pencil grey or black skirt and a emerald green or sapphire blue colored top. And you can even wear the pieces to school" she said with a smile.
She loved helping others anyway she could, even if it was just shopping. Gently taking Sandy's arm she pulled her out of the dressing room back to the clothes. Her eyes scanned clothes remembering all she said about non formal and wanting to be able to wear it again. "Hhhhmm there are possiblities here" she said. "I can tell your more the shy kind which is nice" she said and walked over to a rack of dresses. She found one that was a green but a little bit duller then a emerald green. Holding it up to the girl she saw it would look good on her.
"This might look good. The short sleeves are in and the dress will hug your curves but not to be tight and will go to your knees. And you could even wear this to school if you wanted to one day or to dances" she offered. "And you can even go either black or a darker green shoe, and it can go either flat or heel. What do you think?" she asked.
As a alternative outfit she had picked up a pair of grey dress pants and a sapphire blue silk button up shirt with short sleeves and also got the same shirt in emerald green. "You can try on everything to see what you like best" she said. Rosalie herself also wanted to pick up a few more things. "Is this all you are getting then? I want to get some more stuff, I admit I love my clothes and having a lot of them" she laughed and smiled. "You should see my walk in closet, it is full but there is still room for some more stuff."
