Dear Mr. Bolton,
I am aware you must be as surprised as I am that I am writing a letter to you young man, but believe me, this is a letter that will no doubt be benefical to the both parties involved. I believe we both have a problem, my daughter. Now I am sure you are a good Bloke, and a reasonable man. So I will make this quick. My daughter must return home to London.
I warned Alexandra once before two years ago that she had better stay in London. It really is better for the both of you and I really do not want to take action as I said I would two years ago. I am a reasonable man, however I believe my daughter to be ruining her life. I trust that you must be so disappointed in Alexandra about leaving two years ago, that you will not want her in YOUR son's life. So I propose an arrangment.
She does not belong in America, she is far to young. Now I am offering you 20,000 pounds if you send her home to me. She belongs in London with her family. Not America. Now I am sure we are in agreement on this right, mate. I am sure you will make sure my daughter is returned in a timely fashion. I have enclosed half of the payment, 10,000 pounds. You will get the rest once my daughter is hone, safe and sound.
Now I know this task should not be hard for a gentleman like yourself. Just simply tell my daughter you wish her to leave and never return, we both know she will make a horrible mother, so I am saving you and your son the trouble of finding this out. Trust me, this is the best for everyone, and once it tis done I will make sure my family never bothers yours again.
Sincerely,
Vicount Anthony Bridgerton
