Jeremy skipped eating lunch in order just to practice dancing. He wasn't bad at it but sometimes something just had to get out and cut a rug.
The auditorium was opened and he went inside. He found the 8 1/2 Souvenir's jazz rendition of 'Sharp Dressed Man' on his IPOD. It certainly beat having to lug around a boom box or borrow the school's which seemed to have seen its better days.
Once the music started he was in a world where he was his own man. Looking hot in a top coat, top hat. He loved this version of the song. For some reason the idea of a stripper came to mind during the song, maybe he'd gave Jade a personal show over their weekend. He mused to himself.
The dancing was working up a sweat, time for a quick break. He went through his bag and found a granola bar and a bottle of water and downed them both as he took a breather.
He looked around, he was alone. He stripped out of his shirt and found something with a harder beat to it. If only he had taken a little extra time, he would have seen someone there watching him.

It was official. Haley was an idiot. She was surly going to get in trouble. This sucked. Just sucked. Haley did not want to get in trouble after only one rehearsal. She had to find it. A stupid script and it was missing. Haley could have sworn it was in he locker, but apparently either someone took it, she left it some where, or the script grew legs and walked away. Which could have happened in some Marvel universe. Haley literally search her locker. Damn it. She would have to ask Trixie for a copy. This sucked.
Then Haley remembered the auditorium. She had been in there last night talking to Trixie. She stayed a few minutes after Trixie left. Maybe she never picked her script up from the floor. It was possible. It could still be off to the side on the piano bench on the stage. Haley was losing her mind. This whole mess with Cam and the shooting from the previous week was getting to her. At least her arm was almost healed. One more week and she should be fine.
Haley walked into auditorium and first she heard music. Then she focused on the man dancing. He had on a top hat...what? Haley walked down to get a closer look. She stopped when the guy took off his shirt. Okay she recognized the guy as Jeremy Warner. Haley had heard the rumors of Jeremy being gay, and plus she had a boy friend but Haley could still look...right? Nothing wrong with looking. He had nice muscles. Although Haley liked her guys with less muscles, she could still look. She did prefer Cam's body to Jeremy's, but Jeremy was very good looking.
Haley waited for the second beat to stop before she clapped. "I can see why you got the part...not bad with the moves." Haley said as she walked up onto the stage. She crossed her arms over her chest. Today Haley was wearing a simple red dress, which came to her mid thigh. It was spaghetti straps. She had a black sweater in case it got cold.

Jeremy let out a yelp of surprise, not expecting anyone to see him. "Sorry I...I didn't know anyone else was around." His face was about four shades of red. He shut off the music.
He grabbed his shirt and fumbled with the buttons. "I've been dancing for as long as I can remember. Its like cheering, the more you do it the better you get at it." He sort of knew Haley as one of the cheer leaders.
"You excited to be in the show? I know its good to see fresh faces on the stage." He tried making small talk while trying to keep himself covered.
"I suppose its odd being along side Wynn after everything that went down recently." He still remembered knocking Wynn in the nose for breaking Julia's heart. "Still its not as bad as casting Julia and I as lovers, talk about loving family."
"I'm still trying to figure out why they did that. I mean it would have made more sense to put you in the role of Liat and put Julia as Ngana. I'm thinking since she was chorus. it was easier to move her up and keep things as they were."
