Pip couldn’t stand the thought of eating amongst the teeming masses of ordinary kids in the cafeteria. Normally she would eat outside with her friends, but today it seemed they all had the flu. Lunch out was definitely the way to go. She would take her latest Vampire Diaries book and chill out with something she normally wouldn’t allow herself to eat when in the company of other students, having to give a good example of course for those who weren’t blessed with her slender figure and perfect complexion.
Pippin went through security checkout and suffered their admonitions not to come back late. Heading to the parking lot, she looked back to check to see if the seams of her black seamed hose were straight. She wore a tight micro mini black sheath dress with a crochet white sweater that tied in the front. Four-inch heeled strappy sandals and a man’s black fedora with a white band completed the outfit. Reaching her 2008 Lime Green VW Bug she climbed in and pulled out with a squeal of her tires, almost racing to the nearest Pandera’s Bread. She climbed out, barely smirking at the whistles and catcalls of a group of construction men outside. She walked inside like she was the princess she knew she was.
Once inside she ordered a Tomato-Mozzarella Panini and a cup of Broccoli-Cheddar soup. She took her seat and began to read as she waited for her order to come up.

Colby had taken the morning off to talk to the siblings classes about what it was like to work puppets and how it was more than just moving your hand in an up and down motion. The kids seemed to enjoy it, especially when he took out the monster which took two people to operate.
Once he was done, he packed up and loaded the car. It'd be lunch time at school, Cat would be eating with her friends...hopefully and the cafeteria would be mobbed, he decided to get something out before heading into school.
Panera Bread always had decent food. He drove to the nearest one and headed inside. It was a nice moderate crowd, lunch would be a breeze. He ordered the BBQ Chopped Chicken Salad, French Onion soup and a freshly brewed iced tea.
He got his drink and added the sweetener and lemon to it and searched for a place to sit. It looked like one person per table, they should adopt a rule like in Europe where strangers sit at other tables.
He saw a girl sitting alone at a table. Cat would understand, it was just a friendly situation. He approached the girl. "Hate to bother your reading but I was wondering if I could sit here?"

Pip had barely got past the introduction when she heard a male voice too close to be talking to anyone but her. She looked up and smiled when she recognized him as being from her school. "Hi... sure have a seat. You're Cole... no Colby, right? You're on the wrestling team," she said, pleased she had remembered. She had no trouble with Football or even Basketball team members, but the other sports were difficult.
The waiter brought over her order and while she crumbled her crackers into her soup she introduced herself. "I am Pippin or Pip. I am on the varsity Cheer Squad, just so you know I don't stalk random wrestlers. I had to get away from school today, it was a mad house.

Colby sat in the chair across from the girl, giving her space. "Someone actually knows me." He laughed. His wrestling scores hadn't been outstanding but still he could hold his own. "I admit I'm impressed. Since I usually fall right in the middle for weight class."
"Pip, I like that. I noticed you left out Pippi, I'll make note not to call you by that name then." He laughed a little. "By all means, I approached you. I could accused of stalking cheerleaders, not that I have any reason to though." Main reason being that Cat would probably skin him alive for it.
A short time later the soup and salad arrived. "I can't blame you for getting away, with security so tight now everyone is getting cramped in the school." He poured the dressing over his salad and started to mix it up. "I had to spend the morning talking to my brother and sister's class, I forgot what it was like to be twelve." He took a bite of his salad. "Still it was fun to see their faces when they got to try things out.

"Yes, please avoid Pippi, my sister calls me that to annoy me," Pip said with a smile. "I really would hate to have to put you on my hit list." She leaned back and crossed her long legs as she began to nibble on her wrap. "Do you have a nickname? Or does everyone just call you Colby?"
"Do you think stalkers have reasons for their stalking? Well I guess they do though they might not make sense to the rest of us. It is kind of frightening to think someone might suddenly decide they are in love with me and be convinced I love him or her back, so much so that they feel they have to insert themselves into my life.
"I am beginning to feel like a prisoner at school. The searches are so annoying, sometimes I feel like they regret they can't do strip searches," Pip said without a blush. "So you're dating someone right? I thought I heard someone say something about it." She sat up again and tried her soup with a pleased smile.

"Ok so no Pippi, " he laughed. "I don't really have a nickname. A few call me Colb and my siblings think its too funny to call me cheese head." He'd allow the twins that until they were into their early teens, then the law would be laid down.
He was uncomfortable with the stalking talk but one way to face a problem was to get it in the open. "Part of it is that they want something they can't have but telling them no doesn't work. The other part is a whole power issue, they find someone weaker than them and they become a target." His eyes shifted. "Sorry I probably sound like I know more than I do, I just know someone going through it first hand."
He laughed at the idea of strip searches. "If it ever came to that, the wrong people would want to be searched which would be ruined by someone with ice cold hands or that smells like something foul." He nibbled a bit more on his salad. "No, not dating any more," he paused. "I proposed to the girl and she accepted." He was grinning from ear to ear.

Pip laughed softly. "Yeah I think Cheese Head would grow old fast," she said her eyes twinkling with mirth. "Oh I am sorry if I was making light of something that is obviously a touchy subject. I'm sorry for your friend and I hope things get worked out soon. " Pip loved being the center of attention, but she had to admit that a stalker was more frightening than flattering.
"Wow, congratulations. Engaged. That is major. You're the first person from our class that has been snatched up. Are you going to have a party? And have you set the date?"She was fascinated because her goal in life was to marry well and have a family, though she would never admit it.
