He felt distinctive pleasure as he heard the bell ring to sound for lunch, it was like the day was already over half way though, and he could now start to look forward to getting out of here and on the way home. Alex tapped his shoulder startling him a little he had forgotten to move, still sat at his desk, he pushed himself away from the desk grabbing his bag and slinging it over his one good shoulder.

"You okay? You spaced out there." Alex said.

"Yeah, I was day dreaming about what we were going to do when class got out for the day." Jade said to him Alex grinned. "Your still my lift home Alex, so if you disappear you had better not be planning on children any time soon." Jade said to him Alex winced a little at this.

"Would I do that to you, besides you have Jeremy." Alex said.

"Yeah because the last thing I want to do is have him drive me about." Jade said to him.

"But your okay on having me do that." Alex said with a mock pout.

"Why of course dear brother, you are family more to the point your my twin and until they tell me I can drive again, you are my driving slave." Jade said to him they both gave each other glares as they walked down the hall.

"Are you going outside or are you going into the cafeteria?" Alex asked.

"You know I thought I'd head to the cafeteria for lunch, I brought food enough for us both this morning, knowing you would risk your stomach on school food." Jade said to him Alex grinned. "You have a sub in my locker just the way you like it with the extra cheese and olives." Jade said making a face at the olives.

"Excellent." Alex said to him.

Ten minutes he was sat at a table close to the window fingering a gold chain in his fingers wondering how he could have forgot to take it out off his jean the night before.

Despite the events of last week, Sarah's party had been a hit. Sure the clean up had been bad, but thankfully her dad paid a maid service. Although Sarah did not mind cleaning up the mess, she was actually thankful for the maid. It made things so much easier after the party. Not to mention the gift Alex got her, which was perfect. That guy continued to amaze Sarah. Just when she thought she knew Alex, he pulled a surprise on her.

Sarah was adjusting to being back at school. Despite the reason why, having a week off had been fun. A nice and much needed break from the stress of all the crap that had been going on. Not to mention the end of the school year was right around the corner, which meant SUMMER! The best time of the year. Sarah was jumping just thinking about it.

Instead of going to the music room to sit and play the piano, Sarah elected for the cafeteria. She grabbed her lunch from home, because lets face it, the cafeteria food was scary and Sarah still had plans with her life. So she opted for a lunch she made herself. Which meant it was more unhealthy then healthy, but it had an apple. Didn't that count?

Sarah walked into the crowded area and looked around for someone she knew. Immediately she spotted him. Of course to the naked eyed it looked like Alex, and from far away it looked like Alex, but as Sarah got closer and the picture got clearer she realized it was Jade. Sarah smiled as she approached. She approached from right in front of him so he had to see her unless Jade was staring off into space which could happen. She was often caught staring, she would look right at someone and star but not even see them.

Sarah cleared her throat before talking, "Penny for your thoughts?" She asked Jade in a kind voice, "May I sit?" She always felt the need to ask for some reason. Just something she always did and was use too.

Jade looked up with a smile as he repocketed what he had in his hand, "Hey Sarah, I was just with Alex, I'm not exactly sure where he went, though he probably went to get lunch for himself." Jade said to her. "I was actually thinking about the chain I had planned to give to Jeremy, sort of a good luck charm and present. I had planned on giving it him last night, but the rehearsals made me quite forgetful." Jade said to her with a smile.

"He actually manages to drive me loopy, I can never guess what Jeremy is going to do or ask us to do next... its an unpredictability that is going to make things a lot more interesting." Jade said with a smile. "Not sure giving him this would be a good idea though, he doesn't like my showering him with to much money. Which I get, just about." he said to her shaking his head, someone that rich just didn't have an idea about how some people didn't have the kind of things he had without worry about the next paycheck.

"How have you been?" Jade asked her changing the subject back to something that didn't revolve around him or Jeremy, it could get very boring for Sarah if it was all about them.

“Oh I am sure Alex will find me here. I am kind of hard to miss.” She smirked as she pointed to her pink hair. Sarah was impressed, “You went to the rehearsal, I applaud you. I probably would have been very…bored.” Sarah said trying to be nice. She did not care much for seeing the beforehand of a high school musical. She would wait for the finished project. Assuming she would want to go, but why not, could be fun….or tedious. “I could say the same thing about your brother. He has this way of…..surprising me. Just when I think I know Alex…” Sarah trailed off with a smile. “I am glad things seem to be going well with Jeremy. He is defiantly a good choice for you.” Sarah liked Jeremy. He seemed like a good boyfriend and Jade really needed that.

Sarah nodded as Jade spoke about giving Jeremy the chain, and Jeremy not wanting Jade to spend too much money on him. Sarah understood from both points of view. Sarah’s family had money, but Jade and Alex’s family had more. So she got it. “I am sure you will find the right time to give it to him and I bet he will understand it when you do and not look at price. Sometimes its more the gesture and the meaning behind it. Sometimes the small things are better then something over extravagant.” What Sarah meant was that a gold chain was great, but going to the rehearsal and showing support might mean more.

“I have been great actually. My dad took us away for the weekend and we got back Sunday night. It was fun actually. But I am glad to be back. I love my mother, but sometimes a weekend is more than enough.” Sarah said laughing. Her mother just had this way of becoming a tad annoying after a few days. “How’s the shoulder doing? Oh am my twin...how is she?” Sarah was refering to Jade and Alex's little sister Sarah. She just liked that they had the same name so she refered to her as her twin. Plus she liked Sarah, the girl was smart and witty.

Jade grinned, "I wanted to pull my hair out at rehearsal, by the end of it it I was incredibly bored, I didn't mind going to it for Jeremy. I just underestimated how bored I would be while watching them do their stuff." Jade said to her. "I feel for him and his sister Julia, they have to kiss in this play apparently, now kissing your mother good night isn't so bad but kissing your twin for any reason is pretty gross." Jade said with a smile. "Well it would be for me anyway, but then Alex is me and I am him so that would be wrong on so many different levels." he added.

Jade knew Alex would kill him if he embarrassed him in front of his girlfriend, with some of the things they did when they were small, so he didn't bring them up. Anyone who knew anything about identical twins, probably knew enough to know that their was more to it that Jade hadn't said.

"I'm hoping rehearsals get better, because if their like first night for six to eight weeks I may need a straight jacket... but you do crazy things for the people you love I guess." Jade said to her blushing crimson when he said this, it was the first time he had admitted to some extent his true feelings for his boyfriend... and it sounded crazy even to him but there it was.

"Your right about the chain, its not what it cost its the thought that counts..." Jade said to her.

"My shoulders fine most days, because the bone broke thanks to the bullet its agony when I wake up, theirs not much they can do to strap up a shoulder so its going to be a long road back I think." he said, he hated that it would be so long before he could return to his sports, it would a few weeks before he would be able to rid himself of the sling. Before he did physio on it, next school year was what he was looking at before he was back to his best and it frustrated the incredibly active teen. "Your twin, is good she's being a brat at the moment, our parents refuse to allow her to come to school. Our father is insistant that she would not be safe here, so she can be home schooled or their is an all girls boarding school in New York with her name all over it apparently. SJ is not a happy bunny with dad at the moment, leading to him getting pretty much all of his food burnt." Jade said admiringly. "You don't cross the women in our family, if you want to survive to tell the tale about it." he pointed out with a shudder.

"I will personally bring the jacket if you need it, but you are right...the things you do for the ones you love...glad to hear you admit that. You defiantly deserve this guy. A much better upgrade." Sarah said joking around. "I am sure you could always bring homework with you or a book. You know. Something to keep you entertained, I doubt the rehearsals will get much better. But you should bring a camera. You could do a gag reel. One of those things with bloopers and stuff where people mess up their lines and do something funny." Sarah explained.

It took her mind a while to pick up on the twin thing, "Wait...twims...Jeremy has a twin...that must have slipped my mind. But he has to kiss her. Oh poor guy. He must really love this play. And please, no images about you and Alex. That would be weird...like kissing yourself. I mean looking at him is like looking in a mirror...kind of...right..." Sarah said with a small smile and a laugh.

"Ouch, sounds painful for your should. I guess it is difficult given its position and stuff. Still. I feel for you, but I would not want to be in your shoes." She was being honest, but poor Jade. he did not deserve this either. He had been through a lot already. "Now that sounds like my twin. Tell her good job on being the brat." Sarah said while she laughed. She did not mean it, but Sarah was a trip. "I will remember never to cross your mom or your sister. In my family my mom gives in to easily to cross her. So....I am not use to having to not cross someone, but I promise to stay on everyone's good side." She smiled.

Jade gave her a wicked grin, "Ask Alex about what SJ did to him when he stole her make up bag a couple of years ago, god knows why she wanted make up at twelve but then again it didn't really matter. Alex had green hair for two weeks after that." Jade said to her. "He hates being reminded of it, but has has never done anything so stupid since." Jade said to her with a grin.

It was something of his heritage that he had issue with his baby sister wearing make up at twelve, the true catholic boy in him shone through when it came to his sister at times. It shouldn't have really bothered him all that much, he was however aware of the fact that at some time soon his sister would come home with a boyfriend, then all hell would break loose. The Edwards men would go to town on the boy in question, it would be fifty fifty as to whether the boy stayed long enough to have dinner.

"Speaking of our boyfriends, I'm actually beginning to wonder where they are, Alex should be here already unless he had to go out and get food." Jade said to her shaking his head. "In which case he could get stuck in traffic for his lunch." he said.
