Patch Kimball couldn't wait for the weekend; too bad it was only Tuesday! He wasn't sure if he could last an entire week, waiting for the glorious weekend filled with bowling and food and general goofing off. Then again, they still had the barnyard animals to sneak into the school; that was supposed to be sometime this week, whenever Brittany managed to figure out when the cheerleaders were meeting next. Sometimes having girls around was kind of useful, for finding out things about the girls they were gonna prank.
He shuffled along, humming along to the songs on his mp3 player, when he spotted someone he hadn't seen in almost a week -- Kian O'Connor. "Kian!!" He shouted, probably a little louder than was necessary as he was trying to make himself heard to himself over his music. "Hey, man, where you been lately?" He demanded, having managed to forget that he and Evan had witnessed Kian with a boy the week prior. Who was dating who just wasn't that important; in fact, it was kind of annoying to constantly be ditched for romance, so he tried not to notice when that was on the verge of happening. "You hear? This weekend, bowling and stuff? Oh! You're supposed to be in on the farm animals, too," This was a statement; he fully expected Kian to come along for that, "It's this week, sometime. Evan's girl is gonna let us know when the next practice is then BAM!" He slapped a fist into the palm of his hand, "It'll be great, can't miss it."

Kian's first instinct was to say, "Hey yeah of course you know I have your back!" but then his next thought was what if Connor wanted to do something. He knew he couldn't back out on his friends though, they had stood by him through thick or thin and sometimes when it wasn't so easy to like him that much. "Yeah, I will be sure to be around, Can I bring someone with me? He's a photographer so we can have some stills as well as Mal's videos." He wanted them to meet anyway. He didn't want to be one of those people that kept his boyfriend separate from his friends. Besides if things went according to plan they might all end up spending lots of time together.
"Hey, how is Zac? I sent some flowers and a couple of books, but I don't know.... hospitals," he gave an expressive shudder, remembering the hours spent at his Father's bedside. "I guess I have been kind of caught up in what's going on in my life. So you been okay?"

"Sure, you can bring someone," Patch agreed. He couldn't think of any reason to keep out friends of friends, unless they happened to be cheerleaders, but he knew that cheerleaders were on Kian's list of least favorite people so he couldn't really see that happening. And anyway, if there were any male cheerleaders amongst either Gould or Silver, he'd managed to miss them -- though, he didn't necessarily pay that much attention to the cheerleaders; this prank would be a first. Much like Kian, he preferred not to think about them too much, though unlike his Irish friend he didn't dislike them for where they stood on the social ladder but rather for the sensuality they stood for.
"A photographer, huh? That's cool! It'd be boss, having someone take pics! Mal is good and all, but pictures! I'll put them all over facebook!" He enthused. He figured that Evan would be up for that, too; his best friend wasn't particularly shy when it came to free publicity. "Meet us at lunch so we can give you the 411?" He suggested. "You can bring the photog, too." He added.
"Oh, Zac...he's gonna be okay," Patch shifted uncomfortably. "I mean, he's gonna live, but.....it's pretty bad, he got shot right in the chest, y'know? So your friend, he's gotta take lots of pics, right. We're gonna make Mal make him a copy of our video since he can't come, but pics would be good, too."

Kian was really excited that Connor was going to a. meet his friends and b. get to participate in one of their famous pranks. Evan wouldn't be the only guy in the group with a significant other anymore. Patch might feel that those kinds of thing were irrelevant but none of the others did. Sometimes it seemed his friend was turning into a grumpy old man. But this prank would brighten him up, it had to. "He loves to take pictures, I am sure he will do a bang up job," Kian promised, having been thoroughly impressed with his boyfriend's talents the night before. "Usual table for lunch or are we going to eat outside to foil surveillance?"
His stomach twisted when he heard how bad Zac's wounds were. He knew he was going to have to try to brave the hospital again and visit in person. "Hey Patch, did I tell you I got a recurring extra role on a television series? The money is decent for part-time work and I am meeting a bunch of people that can help me out," Kian said, excitement vibrating out of his slender frame. He was tempted to tell him about the surprise he was working on, but then it wouldn't be a surprise. He held off on it though it was almost painful not to tell.

"Outside, unless it starts raining or something," Patch much preferred to sit outside, particularly as crowded as the cafeteria had been lately. It was better for plotting, it was better for wasting lunch period kicking balls at the wall, and it was better for avoiding Jessica Pruitte -- he still had no idea she was his locker partner, as he had been fortunate enough to be home the previous Monday and this was the first day back since. He had heard whispered rumors that she had been arrested during the gang fight, which didn't surprise him; the girl was a demon! She could have killed any of those gangsters with one look. Of course, if she was arrested that perhaps meant she was a gangster herself, which made sense considering what a ferocious fighter she was.
Patch was visibly impressed when Kian informed him about the television role he'd snagged. "No way! Dude, that's so boss!" He clapped his friend on the back, "What show is it? I gotta watch, now, tell everyone one of my friends is on T.V." He grinned. "You can't ditch us for your new actor friends, though," He warned, "Cause Evan and I, we need you to complete our triumvirate of awesome. Don't wanna have to recruit someone to take your place."

"Yeah I think outside sounds better too. Evan needs room to bounce," Kian said with a grin. Their friend was chronically hyper so it was always good to have extra room. "I hope it doesn't rain. Yesterday was enough of a shock to my system. I will never be able to go back to New York, I might melt like the Wicked Witch of the East." As much as he missed the East Coast and all the opportunities New York had for someone of his talents, he doubted he would move back their now. He had felt so out of sync when he came back, but now that he had his friendships online again, a boyfriend and a real job in television, it would be real hard to give it all up to go back.
The show is called "It's All Relative" and I will just be a waiter in a gay bar, but its recurring, so I will get actual credits. Its going to be on ABC too, not just some cable outfit. I will be pretty froo froo though so I expect some teasing once it airs," he explained. He hoped he wouldn't have a problem with his straight friends but it would be naive to expect not to get problems from people like Judd or Quinten.
