Otep woke up the morning of Valentine's Day and smiled a little. She knew today was going to be a good day. She didn't know how or why but she just knew it would. She got up and showered and then dressed in one of the outfits that Jem picked out for her in the mall. She slipped on the "Abercrombie Outfit" as she liked to call it. It was a green tank, a jean skirt and a pair of green fip flops all from Abercrombie & Fitch. She messed with her newly cut hair she got done last night. It was a shorter 'do' and she liked it. She slipped on her pair of Dior sunglasses. She was wearing black eyeliner and some green eyeshadow. She took a page out of Jem's book with the makeup. When she was satisfied she left the house. She made a short pit stop to get Jem some red roses. Yeah she was being her usual hopeless romantic self. She then pulled into the school parking lot where she saw Jem. Her beautiful girlfriend. She went over to her, giving her the flowers in front of everyone and huggitng her. She kissed her genty and smiled. "Happy Valentine's Day, beautiful." she smiled at her. She then looked back at whoever she was talking to. They had the sort of look on their faces that people get when they don't like you for something you did in your past. And Otep knew that look was meant for her. Or was it the 'oh my god, Otep dresses like a girl now!' look?? She sort of just smiled. "Sorry for the interruption but I felt the need to drop the first of many little Valentine's gifts to my baby." she smiled at her.

Over the last month things had been on the road to improvement between Jem and Otep. They were really making strides at getting things back to how they used to be. Granted it wasn't 100% back to normal yet, but they were closer than they had been. Jemima's parents had been trying to restrict where she went and what she did after school and on weekends. Like it did any good. Anyhow, it was a month later, and it was time to celebrate her first real hoiday with Otep. Ironically, it was Valentine's Day. She tried to act all cool about it, but really she was excited to find out what Otep might have planned. She had gotten up and got ready for the day, in a cute white tank, short skirt and brown boots that were about knee length. She headed off to school. She was just idly chatting with someone when Otep appeared. Looking all girlie and green and like a knock out. And roses too? Jem took them and smiled. "Hey..you." she kissed her back soflty. "They're beautiful, thanks."
Otep smiled at her. "Happy Valentine's Day, my love." she smiled. She looked over at the poeple chatting with Jem and gave an apologetic smile. Like she had to be sorry to them, too, for what she did to Jem. She didn't have to... but she was playing nice. "Morning, guys." she said. No reply. Otep just sort of nodded and looked over to Jem, pulling her to her.
She watched Otep a moment. She glanced at the people she had been talking too. She leaned in a bit and whispered. "Relax...I think they're just a little a stunned is all." They were, at a few things. One, Otep's new look, and two, the fact that she and Jem were together. It seemed to boggle a lot of people's minds.
Otep smiled at her a little and nodded. She would play nice. Even if they began saying things to her. "Got it." she said gently. She looked back at the little group and smiled again.
Jem turned back to the group and excused herself. Saying something about needing to head on inside for some reason or other. "It was good getting caught up with you guys, but I need to head in...turn some late assignments in."
Otep looked at her. She wondered if she should follow. Or would she look like a little lost puppy?? She pondered this for a moment.
Jem looked back, giving Otep a "why aren't you coming" look. She had meant for her to follow. She didn't think she had to actually say the words.
Otep looked at Jem's friends who were watching her go and then just sort of waved at them as she casted off to follow her like the little lost dog she really was at this point. She knew if Jem said "jump" Otep would ask "how high?"
Her friends? Not...really. She had partied with them some in her "wilder" days. Since meeting Otep, she hadn't been quite the wild girl she had once thought of herself to be. At least not in the same way as she was before. "Since when do I have to ask you, or tell you to ocme with?" she asked once Otep had caught up with her.
Otep lifted a brow. "Babe? Do you really know what you sound like right now??" she asked her curiously. She wasn't trying to pick a fight she was sort of just letting Jem in on how she sounded to Otep. "I wasn't sure if following you would have made me look like a little lost puppy. Or even if you wanted me to follow you." she said to her as she took her and gently.
No, she didn't know how she sounded. She stared at Otep with a somewhat blank expression that clearly said she did not know what she was talking about. She sort of shrugged it off. "That's crazy."
Otep let it go. To her, she sounded like the kind of girl Otep used to be. Have the girls at her every beck and call. Like little lap dogs - come when she wanted them to wherever she wanted them to. But she let it go. "I know it's just... I don't really... wanna smother you anymore. Unless, for some twisted reason, you like it." she laughed a little.
me?" she laughed. "Uhh...no. I wouldn't have considered you following me, smothering me. Actually, I might have considered it a bit rude of me to just leave with a group of people you don't really know. The whole point of me...walking away was so that it would be just..you and me."
Otep smiled at her and squeezed her hand gently. "Oh yeah? And why is that??"
Jem shrugged again. "Those weren't exactly my friends, so any excuse to get away would have worked." she teased a little. "Besides today is a specialy day. Isn't it?" she raised a brow.
Otep smiled at her. "Very special." she told her.
"My point." she smirked. "So, what that said..." she moved in front of Otep. Sort of walking backwards, still holding onto her hand. "Is there...anything I should know about today, or later today? Anything..I should be making plans for? May be changing for?"
"Changing... planning... clear your schedule baby... tonight you are all mine." she smiled.
A wicked little grin began to spread across her face. "Really? All yours you say." That held some promising thoughts.
Otep smiled at her. "Yeah." she said with a little grin of her own. "All mine."
"I like the sound of that." she turned back around, so that she was walking next to Otep.
Otep smiled to herself at that point and nodded as they walked down the hall. "Excited?" she asked her.
Excited? She hadn't felt this excited for Valentine's Day in...a very long time. If ever. "Yes, very. Too bad we got to suffer through a day of school first though. Why does it always have to get in the way of everything."
Otep laughed a little. "Yeah you're right... but if we skip... we all know what is going to happen." she said shaking her head.
"Yeah, I know. I'll have a whole army out looking for me. Then they'll post a guard outside my room." she muttered. Her parents were getting to be ...well more like parents. She wasn't sure she liked that.
Otep frowned a little. "And then I'd have to take the ladder out of my back pocket to sneak through your window." she said shaking her head. "Not looking good... I left my ladder in my pants' pocket." she laughed a little.
"Well what good are you then?" she teased. "They'd probably have alarms on all my doors and windows for just such an event." she rolled her eyes. "Good grief. I'm not harming anyone. Anyway..change of subject. Back to tonight."
"Tonight?? What's tonight??" she asked her lifting a brow with a grin.
"Haha...very funny." she bumped her with her hip. "You still have brownie points to earn back. This is a prime opportunity to earn many of them back. I wouldn't miss out on this."
Otep smiled at her. "What if I don't like brownies?? What if I like... cookies??"
"Then..this is your chance to get cookies for being a very good girl."
Otep laughed a little and shook her head. "Ok... then cookies will be earned."
"There you go. You are a fast learner." she smiled
Otep smiled and shook her head. "Yeah... you can say that."
"So, what did you get me?" she asked like a kid getting all excited for their Christmas presents. Wanting to open them on Christmas Eve because they can't wait until Christmas morning.
Otep laughed. "Not telling."
"Come on. You got to tell me something. I need some kind of hint or clue. Do I need to get dressed up for anything? Things like that. I NEED to know." she nearly begged.
"Hint... dress." Otep said simply. "That's all you get."
"Fine." she pouted. Well she knew what she would be thinking about all day now. She would be thinking about what she was going to wear. Did she gor real formal? Casual? Somewhere in the middle? Real sexy, or keep it more moderate and decent.
Otep looked at her. She knew the kind of girl Jem was. And sort of had an incling as to what she was thinking about. "Formal" was all she said.
Jem looked up, semi shaken out of her thoughts. Otep could read her mind apperantly. So, formal it was. Good to know. Now, did she have anything suitable in her closet, or did she go buy something after school?
Otep already had in mind what she was going to wear and smiled at her. "Don't be so... just relax." she smiled.
"Relax?" she laughed. "Nope...don't see that happening. This has to be planned carefully."
Otep smiled at her and kissed the side of her head. "You will be fine."
"Oh I know that." she scoffed.
Rolling her eyes she laughed a little. "Hey."
"Hey what?" Jem laughed back. Before she just stopped walking. Leaning against the side of the building. Not wanting to go inside. Not yet. "Don't give me that look. It's not like you didn't already know, that I was a high maintaince girl."
Otep smiled at her and laughed again. "Yeah I know." she said gently. She leaned against her, leaning her more against the wall and kissed her passionately. "One of the many things I love about you."
It had been a while since Jem had allowed such displays of PDA with anyone. That this little action by Otep sent a thrill all through her. She just didn't care anymore (if she ever did) at who saw them. "If you keep pampering me like you do, it's only going to get worse." she said when the kiss finally broke.
Otep smiled at her as she reached down and laced their fingers together. "I don't mind that."
Jem smiled pulling thier joined hands up between their bodies. "I guess that's a good thing. Because I don't think I see that changing anytime soon."
Otep laughed a little. "I never want you to change. Ever."
Some change was inevitable. As you get older or as you just go through life people change. But she had no intentions of changing herself just to please someone else. "Don't worry, I don't plan on it."
Otep smiled. "Good." she said gently. Yeah... Otep had a couple of things to do before she got Jem for their little... things... she had planned tonight.
"Oh.." a thought hit her. More like a question. "When should I be ready? For tonight? I didn't ask that before, that's a very important piece of information."
"5..." Otep said. "Be ready by 5." she told her.
"Five..." That was going to be pushing it for her. But she could do it. The challenge of it would be fun anyway. "FIve it is then."
Otep smiled. "Good." she said. Reservations were at 6... She couldn't lose those.
"I'll be ready. Have no fear." This was a special day, and surprisingly enough she had no intentions of making her sweat it out, or being fashionable late. Nope. Not this time. May be next time.
Otep smiled at her a little and squeezed her hand gently. "Good."
She tried to piece together the few clues she had for tonight. Be ready by 5, dress formal. So, they must be going to dinner som place nice. But where? Surely, Otep being who she was, there was more planned that she wasn't telling her.
Otep looked at her. "Tonight is special." she told her gently.
"I know.." she said softly. "I have no doubts about that. But..I just can't quite figure out what has been going through your head, and what you've come up with for tonight."
Otep smiled. "Let's just say it's a plan that took a month to actually hatch out."
"A month? Really?" she raised a brow. "That's impressive."
“Let’s just say... If you DON’T like this?? You may as well get rid of me.” she laughed a little. “This is taking a lot of my creativity...”
This must be something big. Now curiosity was really getting to her. She needed more hints, more clues. Something. "You got to tell me more. I need to know. I can't stand the anticipation."
Otep laughed a little. “Well... That’s too bad. You’ll have to just ponder it.” she said. “Let’s say... you thought you were surprised to see me as a “girl””?? You’ll be way more surprised than you were then.”
What the hell was she planning? Now she was really curious and a little scared. Was Otep going to come out all dressed up in some kind of evening gown looking like home coming queen or something? "You are being evil." she pouted.
Otep smiled at her. “Good evil, though.” she whispered.
"Good evil....that's a matter of opinion."
With a smile, Otep looked at her. “Good evil. Trust me.” she said gently.
Good Evil, trust her? Sure. "You horrible little..." she sighed. "Fine, I'll trust you. But this over yet. I will wear you down eventually and you'll have to tell me something."
