[Fallon Cotton]

"A surprise I can do. I must admit I have never made a jacket before. But I have made a vest. So this will be a learning experience. I have to broaden my expertise anyway." Fallon said. She was very excited to. She was trying something new, so it would be a trial and error sort of thing, but it would be fun. Most trials and errors wore. Took her about a whole year before she made a dress that actually looked like a dress.

Fallon took her drink. She opened it and then squirted the lime inside the can. She was aware how weird she looked. Who drank cherry coke with lime in it.? No one except maybe her. Which is what Fallon loved about it. It was unique. The whole Cotton family is unique. "You could come over, except Thad is grounded, so not sure if you would be able to see him. Although knowing Thad he probably snuck out of the house. So if you did come over just do not mention his name." Fal said with a smile and a laugh.

"Hows the drink?" By the look on Taki's face it was his first time with the flavored drink in the states. "No its not bad. I have like an hour left here and then measuring you will not take too long.' She watched him send the text. "care if I ask who you sent a text to." She wondered just curious. He did not have to answer if it was a bad question. Fal could be noisy at times. "I am excited too. My first jacket. This will be fun." especially since she was not use to making men's clothes, but there was a first for everything.

"The drink is... ah... very sweet," he said with a laugh. He should have known it would be. After all. Mizuke ramune was equally as sweet and he was used to that. OK, perhaps not quite as syrupy but close enough. "May I try yours?" he asked and when she nodded he took a sip. "Sugoi! Its nice!" he exclaimed. He hadn't been sure that would be the case when Fallon had requested the mixture but he'd been pleasantly surprised. "First otouto-san introduced me to a new taste and now you have also," he continued. Takumi explained about the time he'd met Thad initially. The lost balloon, Taki replacing it and then the candy floss. "I had never eaten the candy floss before," he told her. "It is also sweet but very nice!"

"Perhaps I could call by your house later then. If Thad isn't allowed to see me I could perhaps pass a message to him? Would that be ok?" No way did he want to get the kid into even deeper trouble... Particularly as he hoped Thad would be allowed to join them on Saturday.

"But my text was to Izzy. You remember her from the lighthouse? I am hoping she will be able to come on Saturday." How much should he divulge? He'd already told Evan and Dare that he liked not only Izzy but also Lia. What if Fallon knew bother - either? - girl more than he realised? Would she tell them how he felt? That was something that was surely better to be said in person... wasn't it? Then again, what did he honestly know about American ways?

"She's probably busy anyway... with her boyfriend..." It didn't hurt to throw out one or two lines.

As Taki tried her drink she tried his. "Very sugary. I like." She smiled. She had never had Cool Mountain before. Fal stuck to her regular. "Glad you like it. Not many people do." She listened to his story, "Candy Floss? What is that...." She knew it must be something she knew, but it was not occuring to her, but the name was funny. "Calling would be fine. Don't worry about Thad getting in trouble. One of us is always in trouble." Fal told Taki. "Don't worry about it."

"Izzy....oh yeah, she is the Asian girl. I have seen her around school. I do not really know her. I did not know she had a boyfriend. I always see her with her brother. At least I think its her brother. Thats what word is around school." Fal shurgged. "I thought she was single from the way she acted on that night, but I am usually wrong so. I am sure she will text you when she is free." Fal told Taki.

Fal was unaware of his feelings for Izzy or Lia. Not that Fal would know what to tell him. She might be female, but to ask her advice on feelings was not smart. She was liable to tell him to just flat out ask one of them if they had a boyfriend and that was it, but Taki might not like the direct approach. "So what else do you have planned for this evening? Me I plan to work, then walk around the carnival." She smiled.

No boyfriend? That was good news indeed. Takumi felt sure the boy with Izzy had been her brother as she'd told him she spent a fair bit of time with him. He opted against asking about Lia as well as that might just arouse suspicion and so he smiled at Fallon instead when she assured him Izzy would reply. Fallon was a girl... so she'd know. He hoped!

"I have no real plans for tonight," he admitted. "Like you I will wander around the carnival for a while and enjoy the music and lights. We have nothing like this back in Osaka. I mean, we have fairs and things like that... festivals... but this is so different!" His eyes lit in awe as he drank in the scene around him. He still had so much to learn about his new home and so far that experience had been most pleasant. Well, apart from the cafeteria last week, of course. That could hardly be classed as anywhere close to nice.

"Perhaps when you have finished work we can walk together? Then I can go home with you to be measured... and maybe see Thad as well!" It sounded like a good plan to him.... and as Fallon had nodded in reply it apparently sounded the same way to her.

"Then until later, Fallon-chan," he added and with a slight nod of his head Takumi vanished into the crowds, dropping the still half full bottle of strawberry soda into a rubbish bin as he went. He mentally added the drink to his small lsit of not so pleasant experiences.
