He was delighted to have arrived at the school in on piece, after some jerk decided to play tail hockey on the back of his BM, the idiot took offence apparently to someone keeping a lane they wanted. Maybe the heat was getting to some people while, he was more than happy with the change in temperature as it reminded him a lot of home.
As he walked through the school in shorts and a very flimsy t-shirt, he noted that people were dressed in some of the most idiotic things he had ever seen for this temperature. He was very glad that he didn't have to get in close quarters with some of them, as they would reek by the end of the day.
He walked into the cafeteria with a smile as he ordered what he hoped was the safe option in some cereal and a muffin, technically he wasn't supposed to eat the damn things, but he hadn't had a treat of late and something good would not do him a hell of a lot of harm every once in a while.
He looked around for an open table before heading towards it, the cafeteria was packed with people, but very few people were actually sitting down, a lot of drama in the last week of their lives making a few people more than a little jumpy. He cracked open the bottle of water he had on his tray downing a huge amount of it.

Victor arrived at school fairly early that day. The morning menu at the house was oatmeal, he despised it. It always reminded him of brains for some reason when his mom added raisins, it made it even worse.
When he arrived at school, he headed for his locker first. Just so he wouldn't have to fight the hall mob later. It was just sickening to see people close to making out in the halls, there were other places for things like that!
He took his place in line behind some jock who was carrying on about the shootings previously and how he was a big hero!
'More like a big zero!' Vic thought with a smile. The jock would probably have a conniption if Vic had Cuddles with him.
Finally Vic got his food, an apple, scrambled eggs, and carton of chocolate milk. He looked around for a place to sit and saw a boy sitting along chugging his water.
Why not? You only have one chance to make friends in school. He went over to the table. "oh umm hey, you mind if I join you here, looks like everyone else has laid claim to their own table with their own people."

He wasn't really aware of the boy until he spoke, his eyes shot up to look at the boy a smile plastered on his face, which was semi real semi fake, though you could not work out which was which.
"Sure thing, plenty of space at the table." Brad said to him before taking a gulp of water, he dearly wished for good air conditioning or just a fan near by. Regardless of the country he was born in and the weather they had at this time of year, he was still sweating like crazy. What has America done to me that I can respond to such intense heat in such a way, it sucks to be in LA right now as simple as that. "So you from Gould or Silver?" Brad asked him.
"I'm Brad by the way, and I'm from Silver." Brad said between mouthfuls of cereal. "I've learned from experience that being adventurous in the school Cafeteria is a recipe for disaster, which is a bad pun in this play right now, but if you dont want a stomach bug or food poisoning avoid the school food." Brad said he hadn't see the boy before so made the assumption he was new, though he had no idea whether this was the case or not.

"Thanks a lot." Vic said taking a seat across from the other boy. Had a school in So Cal not heard of air conditioning? He fanned himself slightly before taking a bite of his eggs. The same rubbery form they always had.
Cuddles would be loving this, it was the right condition for a tarantula survive in. He should have brought his pet along, good times would be had by all, well except those who hated spiders and their ilk.
"I'm a Gould kid, you might have heard stories about the spider boy, that would be me." He beamed with pride. "Victor Webber, or Vic to my friends."
"You get used to the food here," He leaned forward to let the kid in on a secret, "A bunch of kids usually sneak to off during lunch to a local pizza place or fast food."
"I just eat this stuff when I really need something quick and don't have the money to spend." Judging by his 'Where The Wild Things Are' tshirt, ripped jeans and tattered hi tops, no one would know the family did have some money. This was his style and he liked it that way!

Brad grinned, "Pizza is good, personally I usually go get myself a sub... today however I was in less of a rush to get out of my air conditioned car... so I sacrificed my stomach's preferences for non school food for my body's need to keep cool for as long as possible." Brad said their was more than a little vanity in this statement, he had very little intention of being uncomfortable all day.
"I guess the hollywood lifestyle is rubbing of on me to some degree. So presumably you were around during the shooting, I got to say its a little weird being here after what happened last week. But then again I think its going to be a little weird for quite a while yet." Brad said he was aware it might appear a little insensitive to talk about it in a room where a lot of people were hurt. He thought it better to not bring out the bad memories in the room, so keeping it light and airy was the order of the day.
Brad's eyes travelled to the clock on the wall aware that the school day was about to start.

"Both are good choices, granted I can just about anything. I've been told I have a stomach of steel!" Vic laughed. "I don't know if anyone will be skipping out for awhile, seeing how they'll be cracking down on security for the next few months."
"I wasn't here the day it happened, but when the news came though to me on the set my dad said we should head on home." He didn't mind talking about the shooting but not being there it was an odd situation. He grinned about the Hollywood life style rubbing off on Brad. "La-La Land does that to people. My family has gotten used to it though, even though every time I see a car flip or explosion I still get a thrill." Sure it was usually his dad in the car or whatever it was.
The clock clicked away the time, giving warning to the start of the day. He huffed a breath of air out. "Almost time for another day. Wonder what sort of torture they'll put us through today?" A few teachers still wanted to talk about last weeks events, they should let sleeping dogs lie.
That was when the bell went off signaling for students to get a move on.
