The hotel was sparkling with fairy lights all around the gardens and pool area. Inside, the Ball room the lights were low with stars and a full moon hanging near the stage where the DJ was set up. In one of the smaller rooms there was a full haunted house set up and a gypsy fortune teller to read palms and tarot cards. In one of the restaurants there were buffets set up with all kinds of food and treats. The bar was supposed to be closed but it was discovered early and now was dispensing as much alcohol as soft drinks.
The DJ, who tended to play Indie Rock but had promised enough popular stuff so there could be dancing, noted the lights lowering further and cued a fanfare as the moon began to lower. A long slender leg appeared from behind it and then an arm holding a fan that began to wave languidly. The leg was retracted and as the moon reached the floor it opened down the middle like double doors. Out stepped Bree in a white silk teddy with crimson bows at the sides of her panties and at the Vee of her bodice. As she stepped out of the moon, the dj cued ‘Happy Birthday’ and she curtsied as the moon began its ascent again.

Sloane was happily chatting up the blonde who reciprocated her friendliness just as eagerly if not more when the lights dimmed. The crowd seemed to hush and attention was paid to the lowering moon. Sloane smirked and stepped away from the blonde with the excuse of getting more drinks before the auburn-haired girl weaved her way through the crowd to get Tyler's attention.
She knew Bree had an entrance planned but even Sloane didn't expect her to go all out. It made Sloane smile both amused and proud that her friend was finally coming out of her shell. Had she known it only took for her father to be out of the picture, Sloane would have done that years ago. Bree was taking things on hyper speed and Sloane was a bit worried but tonight was Bree's night. Sloane was not going to ruin it for the girl. And besides, Bree looked damn good in her teddy and Sloane was too busy staring at her endless legs to care too much about her best friend's well-being.
She wondered where Tyler was as he was supposed to escort Bree down into the crowd so Maggy would see just how much she was missing.

It amused him to see just how accurate Sloane was. Bree’s entrance was certainly grand, and there was no one even remotely nearby who didn’t have their eyes drawn to her. Tyler was very impressed with it all, not in the least at how sexy she actually looked, in a get-up that was surely Sloane’s influence. He didn’t think the redhead would have that much confidence by herself just yet. And more than a few of the looks his friend was receiving were of the admiring sort. He couldn’t blame the other men. He was planning on behaving because Bree was his friend, and he knew what she had been through of late, anything close to intimate now would be far too soon for her. Otherwise she would have been precisely his type, she was gorgeous after all. And she had the sweet and innocent look down pat, he really liked that. Something he liked about Maggy too, he realised, though he knew for her at least it was genuine. He wondered if it would annoy her, if she knew he thought of her in such terms.
And so it was not just for his sake, his game plan with Maggy, that made him stride across the room to Bree’s side. He needed to help keep away any attention she didn’t want. And so he smiled broadly when he reached her. “Happy birthday Bree, you’re looking as beautiful as always.” And in an uncharacteristic move he reserved only for those close to him, or he felt protective of, he lowered his voice in warning. “I’m going to kiss you.” he spoke softly, before leaning in and pressing his lips to hers. It was soft, gentle and only lasted a couple of seconds. It was the second most chaste kiss in his life, after his kiss with Maggy. He pressed the champagne glass into her hand, his scotch still held in the other. “So do you wish to circle the room, meet and greet your guests?” he asked, offering his arm.

Bree felt more confident once Tyler joined her in the spot light. She was extremely grateful that he warned her the kiss was coming so she didn’t freak, but she was left with tingling lips and legs that felt very unsteady. She took the champagne and downed about half of it and took a deep breath. “Yes, perhaps that is a good idea,” she said with a brilliant smile. She slipped her hand into the crook of his arm, thinking support was probably a good idea. "Coming with, Sloane?" she asked not sure if her bff would prefer to go find a prospect for the evening or not.
She had met almost everyone she saw at one event or another in the last few years, but Bree didn’t know them well enough to call them friend except for Sloane, Tyler and May. She had known Sloane forever and May was the one who usually helped her out by going shopping with her when she needed to escape. It was still unreal to her that she didn’t have to escape anymore. Her fellow cheerleaders she greeted with a social hug and kiss to the cheek.

Nolan had been going back and forth in his head about what to wear to this pajama party. His original plan had been to just wear what he normally would wear, a pair of scrub pants and a t-shirt. With Adam in town and his other siblings buzzing around the house, word that Nolan was interested in a girl became the hot family gossip. So it was that Marty and Adam took Nolan out to find something that would make him irresistible to his new ladyfriend.
Nolan entered the party feeling slightly embarrassed. He wasn't usually one for showing off his body, and while he kept in great shape he was uncomfortable nonetheless. Somehow his brother had convinced him that black silk boxers and a very nice (and very expensive) red robe were all he needed. Black slippers completed the look but did not help Nolan feel any less under dressed. He felt better, however, when he entered the party and saw everyone else.
Lingerie and half-naked girls surrounded him in every direction. Most of the guys either wore something similar to Nolan or the standard male pj's. Most everyone looked very nice. Had Nolan's dad known what this party would be like, however, he probably wouldn't have been allowed to attend. Luckily Marty, Adam, and Freddy were very much in support of him and his romantic entanglement. All three had promised to do what they could and that they would be but a phone call away this night.
Nolan surveyed the crowd for the one person he wanted to find. Distractions were everywhere, but Nolan did his best to stay focused. Nolan noticed the moon dropping and who he assumed to be the birthday hostess appear from behind it. That must be Sloane's friend Bree, he thought. That must mean Sloane would be down front.
Sure enough, Nolan saw Sloane near the front row. His jaw nearly hit the floor when he saw her, and it took him a few moments to collect himself. Suddenly he was very thankful he was wearing a robe. Gathering his wits about him, he wove his way through the crowd and slowly padded up behind Sloane. He slid his arms around her waist and kissed her on the top of her head, taking in the scent of her hair. As usual, she smelled amazing.
“Hey beautiful,” he whispered. He didn't want to steal her focus from her friend for the whole night, but since guys had to leave at one he felt okay being a little selfish to start.

Sloane couldn't help but laugh at the kiss before stopping so if Maggy was watching, she wouldn't think it was a show. The flushed cheeks on Bree did wonders to the crowd as they started whispering and talking in hushed tones.
"I heard Tyler and Bree made out the day of the shooting. Tragedy and all. Must be the hormones." "Oh I can hardly blame them. Especially not Bree. Who wouldn't want to shack up with Mr. Delicious?" "Oh my God, Tyler looks so hot in those pajamas."
Sloane chuckled behind a cupped hand at the comments before running her fingers through her hair. When Bree came over and asked if she wanted to follow, Sloane declined. "I'm waiting for someone." She nodded politely at both of them. "Good touch with the kiss, Tyler. Couldn't have done it better myself. Of course...she wouldn't still be walking if I had my hands on her." Sloane winked at her best friend playfully. "Only joking Bree. Enjoy your party. I'll be around." She smiled as the pair walked away.
Just as she was about to move, she felt arms wrap around her waist. The kiss on the top of her head made her smile. She rested her arms on his and leaned her head back to hear him whisper into her ear. "Nolan...you're here. I didn't think you'd be coming." Her eyes almost fluttered close at the warm feeling she suddenly had as Nolan pulled her tight against his chest. She forced them open and turned in his arms, pulling away slightly so she could see what he was wearing.
"Well, well Mr Football Jock. You sleep in silk?" She smirked as her hand brushed down his exposed chest til right above his boxers. "I thought you'd be in drawstring pants and an oversized football jersey." Sloane looked up to his face. "Then again...this is easier to get off." Her smirk grew before she pulled his face down and instead of kissing him on the lips, she pressed her lips on to his jaw. "Glad you could come, slugger."

May was definitely one of the most modestly clad girls at Bree's party. She hadn't been prepared for lingerie! Of course, even if she'd had any clue that most of the guests would be in lingerie she didn't have any sleepwear that was anywhere near that provocative. Her purple and turqoise chemise was cute, but it definitely wasn't sexy. At least, she didn't think so. She could hardly believe the outfit that Bree was wearing, either! That she would show that much skin to all her classmates -- the fact that May herself wore nothing but a leotard and tights almost every night for dance class didn't register with her as being the same. It might have been the same amount of skin shown (well, not really, since there were tights involved) but it was not meant to be sexual, whereas most of the outfits the girls were flaunting were. And while on one level she appreciated this, on another it made her entirely uncomfortable. She wrapped her arms around herself, wishing she had known just what she was getting into! She probably would have declined. No, that wasn't right, she would have gone anyway, because Bree was her friend, but at least she would have been prepared.
She listened to the whispers around her about Bree's involvement with Tyler, and felt a twinge of disappointment. She hadn't had any idea that her friend was even interested in the football star, let alone dating him! They had never, ever discussed boys, which had always been a relief to May, because boys were her least favorite subject. However, she resented that Bree hadn't even bothered to mention that little detail. Honestly, just because May herself had no interest in dating men didn't mean that she wouldn't support her friends in their love lives -- although, this was Tyler she was thinking about. He wasn't exactly dating material, he was love-em-and-leave-em. Of course, if Bree wanted something casual, then May supposed Tyler was a good choice.
She waited until Bree, with Tyler in tow, came over, returning the other girl's hug. "Happy birthday!" She felt a little bad, because Bree's birthday was coming so soon after her father's death, but the other cheerleader was taking the whole thing remarkably well. She nodded to Tyler, accepting that he was there but not really sure how to greet him. "This is ummm some party, isn't it?"

Post by Magdalena "Maggy" Veloz on Oct 1, 2009 22:10:19 GMT -5
Magdalena couldn't believe she had allowed Mew to talk her into coming to a fancy party for someone she didn't know. And of course her Jack Skellington robes and Cthulu plush were out of place, though at least her toy looked like it belonged with her; all the girls done up in sexy underthings carrying around teddy bears seemed incongruous. She also couldn't believe Mew had managed to convince Phil to attend with them, though their mutual friend was admittedly being much, much quieter than usual.
"Why are we here again?" She grumbled, arms across her chest, trying to shrink into herself as much as possible. There were too many people! bThe only good thing was that none of the boys were allowed to stay past one, and as the two people she was in attendance with were both males, that meant she had a built in excuse for dodging out early. After all, she was their ride! A fact that she was grateful for; at least the two boys had agreed to that much, knowing how much she would hate having to stay.
The birthday girl's appearance was....shocking, to say the least. She was really setting a tone that Maggy was not comfortable with. Judging from the very, very red-face of the two boys with her, they weren't comfortable with it, either. The only upside to this was there was eye candy in the form of some of the gentlemen who had shown up -- gentlemen who were very probably counting their blessings for being allowed into this atmosphere of deliberate sexual objectification.
"Urrrrrgh." She shuddered, glancing over her shoulder at her companions -- but they weren't paying the least bit of attention to her, their attention fixed on the birthday girl and the boy who had appeared beside her. Tyler! Ah! She hadn't recognized the girl in the lingerie, but now she remembered -- she was the tart who had been hanging on Tyler at the memorial service. "Disgusting." She muttered, shooting a glare at her friends.

Mom arrived to the party in a pair of leopard spotted pajamas, her hair done up with two chopsticks in it and Grover by her side in the car. She did have reservations at first about going but when word went around and that 'Mr. Casanova' Tyler Durham would be there, she *HAD* to go!
She made a quiet entrance and mingled around a bit, making small talk with anyone that wanted to talk. She was being her friendly self but also keeping her eyes and ears open to the party goers.
She saw the kiss and heard the reactions, and all she could do was shake her head. It was like on 'Saved By The Bell' only much more cheesy. She went to the bar, "Diet Coke, easy on the ice." She had decided to be able to live the night was to spend it sober.
She put on her best fake smile as the hostess made her rounds. "Just wanted to tell you happy birthday and I hope you get everything thing your heart desires." Her eyes darted to Tyler, she could see through him.
She went back into the crowd and heard a female voice say, "Disgusting." She turned to the voice. "I'm glad to see I'm not in the minority then, I could smell the bacon before I came in."

As they circled the room to greet all the party guests, a formality Tyler was well used to, he kept his eyes on the room, attempting to pick out Maggy, if the girl decided to turn up. He didn’t find her, but he came across a sight that interested him just as much. Sloane getting all chummy with a guy he didn’t recognise. And she gave him hassle about his interest in Maggy, whatever was going on between his friend and the stranger certainly didn’t look casual, which was Sloane did best.
He smiled warmly at May. Though she wasn’t a close friend, she was a cheerleader, one of his kind after all, and not to mention female, so of course he would be nothing but friendly. And the rumours about her being interested in the fairer sex as well only made him more interested. No guy couldn’t knock back girl on girl. “That it is. Our Bree can certainly throw a party.” he complimented, his eyes turning to the girl by his side once more.
Another woman came up, cute enough, he liked the chopsticks in her hair, but he didn’t know her too well. He did watch her walk away though, and it was then that he saw Maggy. Flanked by her friends. This should be fun. “Looks like your plan worked.” he whispered in Bree’s ear. “Time to see how well.”
“If you ladies will excuse me, I just daw a friend I wish to say hello to. Give you both a chance to talk after all.” he grinned, brushing his lips against Bree’s cheek before gently letting go of her arm, heading over to the girl currently under his skin. It was obvious he only had eyes for her, he saw no reason to disguise this. He put his now empty glass on a small table just before he reached her.
“Maggy.” he smiled, not needing to feign pleasure in his voice, it was already genuine. “I’m glad you could make it. Phil, Mew, glad you could come too.” he greeted, having made sure beforehand he knew the name of her friends. “And I’m sorry, I don’t think we’ve been properly introduced. I’m Tyler.” he introduced himself to the girl standing with Maggy, wondering if she was a friend.
Very quickly though his focus was back on Maggy. “I’ve been wondering how you’ve been. Since the library.” he spoke softly, feeling no need to bring up the shooting by name. “Would you like to go somewhere a bit more quiet to talk? If your friends are happy to let me borrow you for a little while, of course.”
