Jeremy had no idea what time Julia had gone to bed after the movie marathon with Connor, her "not date". It did amuse him though that as much as she denied it, he knew she liked Connor, how much though was a whole other story.
He stayed as quiet as he could as he prepared for the campout later that night. Sure he had the basics ready but there was the matter of food and drink for the dinner that night and breakfast in the morning. "Dad, I'm headed out to get some last minute things for the weekend!" He yelled to his father who was slaving over a computer trying to get the final bits done on next week's episode of 'Days of Passion'.
"Thats fine, Jere, see you later." Came a responce from a voice that sounded like it needed about 10 hours of sleep or a good shot of espresso.
Jeremy went out and started towards the store. He did have an evil though of getting beans and weiners for dinner, it'd keep people at bay. He pulled into the lot and headed towards the doors of the store.
He paced the aisles getting small things here and there, when he thought of Smores! He rounded the corner to get marshmallows when *CRASH!!* he plowed into another cart.
His face red, he apologized. "I'm sorry, they need bumpers or something on these!!"

Jade had decided they needed something that wasn't particularly camp out food, he refused to just eat burgers and sausages and god knows what else the people who organised this madness would think up. His trolley was full of such goods and glad that he had the range rover with him, Alex riding shotgun and probably blaring music out of the range rover annoying everyone in sight, better them than me.
WHAM!
His face red, he apologized. "I'm sorry, they need bumpers or something on these!!"
"I'm not having the best of mornings." Jade muttered rubbing his stomach. "Its cool and yeah these things need bumpers, why my parents couldnt stock our fridge before they left is beyond me, like I need this bloody camp out right now." Jade said to himself. "Sorry you caught me having an off day, its cool you look like your shopping for an army though." Jade said he had seen the boy at school and wondered if he was going to the camp out as well.
The night before had gone from bad to worse after talking to Greg at the bar, his ex had made a point of looking and acting angry for talking to another guy while on a date with him, he had reminded him why he hated the boy so much.

"You're headed to the madness too?" Jeremy chuckled. "With my luck there'll be some leather faced man with a chainsaw hacking everyone to bits, after all with a name like Grizzly Creek who knows what to expect!" That was from watching one too many horror movies.
"Oh what all this? Feh, I shop like my mom I think, you buy enough to share and then some. Its a bad habit she has and its rubbing off on me." He joked. Even though Jeremy was struggling with his "identity", he couldn't help but checking the teen out. He seemed cute enough and in shape. Still better to be safe and enjoy the scenery than be sorry and wind up with a possible black eye or worse.
"I'm actually shopping on an empty stomach, not a good idea!" He said. "Everything just looks good right now, and some of this probably wouldn't get him." He eyed the Oreo Double Stuff's, which had seemed to beckon to him earlier during the excursion for food. He didn't even think about his comment being a Freudian slip.
"You know, I'm nearly done here," Jeremy paused, how do you ask someone to do something without sounding like a date? He had an idea. "I was going to get some breakfast if you want to join me."

"Yeah I'm of to grizzly creek, I'm not I'll live to tell the tale, might have to sleep in the land rover if we can't set up the tent." Jade said to him with a shake of the head still not sure that they could achieve setting the tent up. "I like that film, anything with a bit of gore in it is good, having said that I don't need that on my weekend of." Jade said to him.
"Well its better to have to much food than not enough food, I imagine that they'll have something disgusting on offer at the camp site for the people who didn't think to bring there own food." Jade said to him as he eyed the boy something about him sent a warning of in his brain, Jade wondered whether it was just him being paranoid but he had a sense of being checked out not that he minded all that much this guy was not exactly the ugliest person on the planet.
"Definitely not good, you know a survey or something I read or heard about said that you shouldn't shop for food on an empt stomach." Jade said following his eye line to the Oreo's. "Now if theirs a food that will make you work a little harder in the gym its oreo's." Jade said to him. "Love them, right up there with cookie dough, you know you can get an ice cream with that stuff in now." Jade said to him conversationally.
"Breakfast sounds good, I have to put this stuff in the back of the car but after that I'm good for an hour." Jade said to him with a smile.
