I may not be the most active parent in the PTA, but even I can see that something must be done given the events of this afternoon and given that the Silver Students once again had to be sent to Gould again. The condition of both of the schools is questionable and there is no such thing as security in either one.
I have no desire to withdraw Dare from school and send him to a private school, but today has me considering it. I think that we can do better than that though. My suggestion is that we combine the schools permanently, form a committee for fundraising and make one state of the art school for all the students.
I do not live in town most of the time, but I would be willing to donate time and money towards a project like this, including the services of my band, Toxic Religion, for a few fundraising projects such as a Music Festival, a concert, a dinner/dance or anything else the committee might feel our presence might be useful for.
At the very least we should call an emergency meeting of the board and PTA to discuss our options for the future.
