After they could go Cat held on to Colby's hand. It did not take long to get the car. But it did take awhile to get out of the parking lot. She was quiet the whole time till they were on the road. "I am glad to be away from that place" she said. "I wonder if everyone is okay" she said softly and looked over at him. "I am just glad you are okay" she said and held one his hands. And she meant from both the gunman and Quenten, and she knew Colby would get her meaning. Both were dangerous and unpredictable. "But I am sorry Quenten saved us" she shook her head. "I still am trying to wrap my brain around that. He had to have a motive is the only thing I got to say. I don't believe he did it out of the goodness of his own heart."
At the house she got out of the car and looked over at him. "How are you feeling?" she asked him. "You don't feel sick or weak or anything?" She knew it was only a few days he was hurt by Quenten and now this happened. She just wanted to make sure that he was okay. She walked to his side and got on her tip toes and kissed him softly on the lips. "And thank you for protecting me" she said and looked into eyes. "Lets get you in the house that way we can sit and relax and you can put your feet up and I can get you whatever you need" she gave him a sweet smile as they headed for the house. "I am sure when your parents get home they will fuss over you to" she told him.

Colby got in the car and rested his head on his hand as Cat drove home. Why did Quenten do what he did? Would it give him reduced time or something? He couldn't piece it together. Cat's voice brought him around. "Hmm? Oh oh yeah, I'm glad your alright as well. I'm just distracted right now."
It didn't surprise him to hear Cat's feelings, it had to be freaking her out. "He doesn't have a heart, he has some motivation."
He slowly got out of the car as Cat came around to him. "Nono, just a little tired it all." He replied kissing her back and taking a moment to just love her more. "I love you so much baby!" He reached up and gently brushed the hair from her face. "I'll always protect you."
"Its not my folks who will fuss it'll be the younger two." He smiled slightly. "I could use to just flop in front of the tv with something on that I don't have to pay attention to like 'Scooby-Doo' or something. I also will be needing my meds if you'd get them for me so I can get comfortable." He felt his head start to throb.

"Of course I will get them" she said with a smile. "You don't even have to ask" she told him. "I will protect you to" she told him as she put her arm around his waist as they went into the house. "So that way we are protecting each other because that is what I want, us to be look out for each other, I hate all that has happened, and I don't want you to have to always protect me" she told him softly. Going inside she led him toward the couch and made him set down.
Going to get his meds she got them and wate and handed them to them. "There you go" she said with a smile and crossed her legs. She sat at his side and laid a hand casually on his thigh. "Wonder when everyone will be home?" she asked him as she turned on the tv and turned it to Cartoon Network, she had to giggle at what was on tv. "Looks like we get Sylvester and Tweety" she said. "It must be a sign just for you" she told him with a soft smile.
Laying her head on his shoulder he got comfortable against him. "I wonder what they are going to do about school now. Will they send us back? I mean it will be hard to go back in a place like that, I heard that some people were killed, I heard the police talking after we left" she said and looked up at him.

Colby sat down and made himself comfortable as Cat retrieved his medication. He smiled when she returned. "How did I get to be so lucky?" He asked hypotheticly as he downed the pills.
"Right now, I don't care. I'm enjoying the quiet right now." He snuggled close to Cat and enjoyed the antics of the yellow bird and the black and white cat. "This is perfect, good mindless entertainment." He grinned as he watched and right on cue he said with the tv, "I tawt I taw a puddy tat!" He looked at Cat. "When you have a parent who does voices you sort of pick up on it."
There was quiet for a moment except from the tv when Cat asked about the school. "They'll probably give us a few days to recover and for the police to investigate everything that happened." He swallowed the lump the formed in his throat. "I know it will be but think of what the kids at Columbine went through and despite the people that were lost, the school came back stronger than ever."
"But enough about today, lets talk about us and our future. Something much more pleasurable to think of."

Catalina leaned into him and kissed his neck and laid her head on his shoulder. "I am the lucky one" she said. "I have no idea how I got so lucky to have you" she said honestly to him. "But I am not complaining either" she giggled. "In fact I am gloriously happy you want me for life. That means you are stuck with me till the end of time" she said and reached over and took his hand and held it in hers. "I love you my handsome sweet, sexy, fiancee" she told him. She looked into his eyes for a moment and then her eyes turned back to the tv.
"You do a sexy voice over" she told him honestly. "At least you do to me" she flashed him a sweet smile. She did laugh after he did the voice. "You are just like your dad which is a good thing before you say anything" she looked up at him and gave him a look. "Your dad is sweet and funny and loves your mom so much and all you kids. You will be a wonderful father just like he is and a fantastic loving husband. That is another reason I am lucky to have a man like you."
"Okay" she looked at her ring and up at him. "I have been thinking of the wedding, I am thinking something on the beach. Not a lot of people but something simple with our closest family and friends" she said. "What do you think? I thought it fit us since we are not all about the big and a lot of peple type of party, something smiple and beautiful and intimate I think fits us more then anything."

"I was just lucky to get you back into my life." Colby sighed happily, it seemed like forever since he heard her giggle. "I"m stuck with you for infinity since it goes on forever, theres no way it will end." He reminded her gently. "We'll be together forever."
A sexy voice over? He laughed. He kept the voice up for a tad longer. "Ohh so I should talk wike Tweety more often then?" He didn't think so. "I'm glad you think that way, I want to be like him. Grown up enough to know how to be serious but still know how to be a kid when it calls for it. I'm eternally happy that you want to be a part of it."
"The beach wedding sounds great. I'll have Greg as my best man, maybe Izzy can be the matron of honor." The idea was playing his mind like a romantic movie. "I was thinking too, we could have a simple honeymoon, promise me you won't laugh at the idea I had?" He knew better than to take it personally. "I was thinking maybe a a few days at Disneyland?" He looked at her with big brown puppy dog eyes.

Catalina knew no matter what he said she felt like the lucky one in the relationship. She has compared every man she has meant to Colby and they just never added up to him. The only men other then Colby she knew she trusted completely were her Uncle and Father. She missed her father but knew he would be happy for her right now same as her mother, and she knew her Aunt and Uncle were happy with what was going on, they adored Colby and thought he was the guy for her, the one that could protect her. Sure she cared for Renton as a friend and trusted him but right now all that happened any male that was not family or Colby she was just a bit unsure of. "I can do forever I would be happy to" she said to him softly and looked at the ring on her finger. She has been glancing at it off and on, it is perfect and the kind of ring she has always wanted. "This ring and the wedding band are staying on forever" she said. "I will not take them off, I don't want to take them out" she told him honestly.
Laughter bubbled up as he contined the tweety voice. "You are the perfect mixture of man and boy" she said with a smile. "At least to me and that should be the most important opinon" she said to him teasingly with a fake stern look on her face. "You can talk like Tweety whenever you want, as long as it makes you happy" she said and kissed him softly on the lips. "I love you voice overs and all, I love the whole package inside and out since both take my breath away" she said to him looking up at him then back at the tv after she had said it to him.
"I love your idea" she told him honestly. "I can see Izzy being my maid of honor. I just hope Sidra does not mind being girly for a day" she laughed. "I am sure for me she will, I might be one of the few people she does not mind being that way for" she said thinking on it. "I think most people are amazed that me and her are even friends, but I don't see the outside when I look at her I see her inside first and she is a great friend, and you know that she would kick someone's butt, for me or any of her friends" she laughed and smiled. "Those are the only wedding party I know so far, and Mal of course. So I might just have three" she said looking up at him. "Do you know anyone else you want in the party? Your sister can be flower girl" she said. "And just think we can take our time, and if we don't want to leave the room we don't have to" she said and stroked the top of his hand with the tips of her finger nails. "Because who's to say you will even want me to leave the room, you might be to occupied with other things" she said and laughed and smiled at him.
