Jay could not help but find the wide eyed look on her face adorable. She really was the classic good girl. Damn, if only he could be that guy, but sadly Jay was so screwed up in the head, that he could never be that guy. He was who he was. Had this been before he moved things might have been different, but killing someone changes you inside. It makes you harder and just plain different.
"You say there is no bad ass chick, but I think there is. Hidden deep down, but is too scared to come out. Then again it would depend on your definition of bad. I am not saying to go out, get drunk and get a tattoo. Although that would be fun to see. But when I say bad I mean you would never do anything
that goes against that 'I do what I am suppose to do' persona." He said using air quotes.
He told it like it is. Jay did not care. Anything that would make him not feel his own emotions was what he needed. He liked to be bluntly honest and manipulative. It beat the alternative. "If you ever want an adventure look me up. I am not hard to find. i would love to see you wave the freak flag I know you have inside. The silent girls are often the freakiest." Jay winked as the bell rang. "It really has been a pleasure Ms. Swan. For now I leave you to go sleep in class." Jay smiled as she stood up to walk away.
But he did turn back once more and smiled at Emma, "I'd as soon put that little canary into the park on a winter's day, as recommend you to bestow your heart on him!...He's not a rough diamond--a pearl-containing oyster of a rustic: he's a fierce, pitiless, wolfish man" Then he winked, "I believe Catherine tells that to Isabella about Heathcliff, but I could be wrong." Jay smiled and walked away. Yes he recited a passage from Wuthering Heights. He did read and he did know things.
