Jasper smiled as he walked into the cafeteria. It was perhaps the first time he'd smiled since he started going to this school, but for the first time since he'd arrived, he actually had a reason to. Tomorrow was Jasper's 18th birthday, which meant his trust fund would kick in. He'd finally be free of of Compton and free of being poor. If it was completely up to him--he'd already be on a plane, back to New York, but for some crazy reason, Riley wanted to stay here. And if Riley wanted to stay here, well, he'd do it for her.
His plans were already in motion anyway. He wouldn't go to school tomorrow. He had to foreclose on the place he'd bought and pick up his new car. He'd already explained his trust situation and these things were waiting for him. With the help of Riley, they'd picked out a penthouse downtown. Sure downtown LA wasn't exactly as glamorous as Manhattan, but both being used to city life, they'd decided on this rather than some mansion in Hollywood or Beverly Hills.
As for his car...well, he'd gotten himself a Bentley of course. He wanted to stay classy after all. Tomorrow would certainly be the best birthday he'd ever had.
And what to do with his school situation? Well, he'd pretty much ruled his old high school. He hadn't paid much attention to the rich or popular kids, but perhaps it was time to scope them out and see if they were worth his time. Either way, as Jasper finished paying for his lunch and headed to a random empty table in the center of the cafeteria, he knew it was time for a change....

[Alyson Durrand]
God, she hated Gould. It was so yucky. Not that Silver was much better. Most people hated private school, but Alyson missed it. She missed the advanced curriculum and the many people she had things in common with. Sure people were on a scholarship in private school, but Aly never talked to them. She had been going to Gould for over a month and she hated it. Aly took to skipping out during lunch. She would go back before next period, but she liked to visit her friends at Silver.
Besides it was not like Gould would miss her. Half the time she wondered if the Silver teachers even knew she transfered. No one said anything to her. So she did not give a crap. If Aly got in trouble, there was a way to buy herself out of it. The price of having money. Of course there was always price to pay for everything.
Today Aly was searching the caf for her friends. Sarah or anyone else from the cheer squad. She thought she spotted Sarah when her eyes scanned a familiar person.
She must be dreaming. Jasper Hastings was here...at Silver. What the hell. She had known Jasper and his sister from New York. She knew them from school. The three of them had been friends. Well she and Riley had been friends. Aly was not sure she liked Jasper at all, but he was great criminal mastermind.
Aly raised a brow and decided to walk over. She was pissed that Riley had not called and told her they moved to LA. After all she told them where she lived. It was no shock Jasper did not call. The guy was an ass. Aly walked over and sat down. But first she slapped him in the arm, not hard...but it was effective for her., "What the hell are you doing here?"

When Jasper looked up and saw Aly, he was quite surprised, but his face didn't show it. Jasper was really good at showing no reaction to things. It was something he liked because it kept people on their toes. "I'm eating lunch," he said calmly. "What are you doing here...aside from stalking me?"
Yes, Jasper had known very well that Alyson lived in LA. He'd known it when he moved here but when he moved to LA he had been poor and there was no way he was going to let the girl know that. He'd even talked Riley into going along with the whole thing. But now it would be okay because he was getting his trust fund tomorrow. She might have heard about his father--if she had, then that couldn't be helped, but now that he'd be rich again in less than 24 hours, there was no need for her to know that he'd ever lived in Compton, or still lived there...a technicality really. He'd stay in a fancy hotel until he could move into his new place. He'd check in tomorrow.
He looked her over. He'd always had a sweet spot for Alyson Durrand but he didn't like to advertise it. He really didn't see any need to feed her ego. Plus, he was only really nice to people when it suited him so unless it somehow because essential to give her a confidence boost, he wasn't going to.

Aly sat down at the table. Her back was to the table and her body faced the lunch room. She crossed one leg over the other and laughed, "Me stalking you. Only in your dreams.' She said with a smirk, "On second though you better not be dreaming about me." She gave him a look. This was how they were. It was weird to say the least.
"Besides I moved here last year. You moved when?" She asked making her point. Her voice held that higher tone. The one that said beat that. Yeah right. Like she would ever stalk Jasper. He was not that great. Okay so she kind of liked their little battle of wits. It did not mean anything. She might claim to hate him, but she liked him. He was okay as a person. You just had to know what to expect from him. She always had a small thing for him, but she never acted on it. No point. Nothing would ever come from Jasper's end. So she simply moved on.
"Where is the sister? I do not appreciate not being called. Oh why am I even talking to you." She would have to find out why they did not call her from Riley. "Besides I can't stalk you. This is not even my school." She smiled.

"If I was dreaming of you...you'd be...well, not wearing so many clothes," he said with a smirk, pressing his lips together for a moment, "now that is hot." Aly was hot. There really was no denying that and he had no problem admitting it. Although he usually only commented on her looks when he was trying to mess with her.
Jasper paused a moment. He of course knew exactly how long he'd been in LA, but he paused anyway as if he was thinking about it. "I'd say about a month," he said with a shrug as if it was no big deal. He wanted to make her second guess it all...make her think that they'd not even considered calling her, which was of course untrue.
"I'm not Riley's keeper," he said, shrugging again. Actually it annoyed him greatly that Riley hadn't shown up for lunch yet. After all, its not as if he had conversed with anyone else in this school. Although he was considering changing that...checking out the more wealthy students and seeing if they were worth his time, he still had been expecting to see his sister at lunch.
"If this isn't your school...then why are you here?" he asked simply. "If anything the fact that you don't go here would suggest you are stalking me," he smirked.

Aly smirked, "That's why they call it a dream. The closet you will ever come to having me in bed would be if you were passed out drunk and even then I would probably make you sleep on the floor. I will admit you have good taste." She said referring to the hot comment. Aly did enjoy being told she was hot, but Jasper had to think twice if he thought she would ever sleep with him. She brushed some hair off her shoulder and looked around. She did wonder where Riley was.
"An month....a whole month..." Aly glared at him god, she wanted to smack him. Jasper had this way. A shrug was all she got. No sorry or explanation. Aly should not be surprised. That was Jasper's way and it irked her to no end. The guy did not seem to care. Aly composed herself. She hated showing how Jasper could irritate her. So she replaced her glare with a smile, "well I am sure you both have been busy, and did not have time to call. I forgive you." She smirked at him trying to prove she did not care. Two could play his little game.
"I came here because my new school sucks and I wanted to talk to my friends. Instead I found you. Someone must hate me today." She remarked. Like she would tell him she was happy to see him. Aly was not stupid and would not give Jasper the satisfaction. "If you call me showing up at my old school, without even knowing you moved to LA...if you call that stalking then I think I need to buy you a dictionary." Aly said.

"You're loss because I'd just have another girl lined up...or maybe two at a time. Threesomes are always fun," he said with another smirk. After all, what guy didn't want that? And when Jasper had had money he'd been able to do or get anyone he wanted. Okay, maybe he hadn't had Aly yet, but he'd messed with her enough to be satisfied. It was a fun little game they played.
"I didn't say I was sorry," Jasper said simply, knowing that he was getting to her. That was the point. Getting to Aly was fun. Even when she pretended she didn't care, he knew that she did. If she only knew why he'd begged Riley not to call though. If only she knew that he was currently still living in Compton. But thankfully she hadn't run into him until now. She'd never have to know...
"Then why don't you go talk to them," Jasper said. "I think I can handle the solitude." Although truth be told, Jasper actually did want to meet her friends. He was sure that Aly had found the elite group at Silver and that was the exact group that he was looking into taking over.
He was about to comment on the stalking thing again, tell her she was being mighty defensive for someone who wasn't stalking him, but if on cue a brunette girl came and sat down at their table without asking or anything. Jasper recognized her as a popular girl but really didn't know anything else about her. She was hot though, so this could be fun... he thought.

"Hey loser, last I checked you didn't go here anymore," Sarah said as she sat down at the table with her lunch. Looking across she saw Jasper. She didn't know much about him aside from the fact that he was good looking and didn't really talk to anyone in school. He only talked to that blonde girl, Riley who was in some of her classes.
But although Sarah didn't know much about Jasper or Riley, she did know that they didn't hang out in her crowd. So why was Aly talking to him? Had they even gone to Silver at the same time? They were fairly new... "So, who's your friend?" Sarah asked, nodding across the table, really hoping that Aly didn't say he was her boyfriend or something. Sarah didn't have a date for Valentine's Day and it would really piss her off if everyone did but her.
Sure, she could get a date if she really wanted to but she hadn't really tried. She thought Valentine's Day was kind of stupid anyway. "So what are you doing this weekend?" she asked, looking at Aly. Maybe she could keep the conversation away from Valentine's Day.

Typical Jasper. Aly rolled her eyes, "Yeah,, but I doubt those girls would speak English.its a shame when a man has to resort to foreign means because no one here likes him. I guess money can buy a good happy ending." She told him. Jasper was a pig. Sometimes she wonder what she even saw in him. He was the most arrogant jackass she knew. He was cocky and rude. Yet it was all part of the game and she loved the game. That was the point and that's why she kept him around. Only Jasper could play the game. The name calling, witty comments, the challenges for each other and even teaming up occasionally, yes....what a game. She messed with Jasper enough to keep him wanting more. It was what they did. The game they played. She would never give in to him. There was no point.
"You might not have said sorry, but I know you are sorry. So I said it for you." She smirked. Aly looked around some more. "You want a threesome huh, well fine, but I pick the girls. Can't have you continue to go foreign. That's just not entertaining anymore. " Aly smiled.
She turned when Sarah came over, "I might not go here, but they have not kicked me off campus yet, so here I stay." Aly looked next to her at Jasper, "this guy is not my friend. He is the asshole, womanizing, cocky brother of my friend Riley. Jasper this is Sarah. Sarah meet Jasper. Don't say I did not warn you." Aly smiled at Jasper as she said that. Let's see him beat that.
"I have no plans, but um....someone has a birthday tomorrow....don't think I forgot Jas. So tell me what present does someone get for a guy who can buy everything." Aly had no idea about their dad. She had been out of touch. "What about you Sarah? If you have no plans I. Know a certain step monster, that could use some back."

"But foreign girls are sexy and not as timid in the bedroom," he said with a smirk. There was no need to deny the fact that he's hooked up with a bunch of foreign girls back in New York. "Plus, New York was so full of models and everyone knows the foreign ones are the best looking." Yeah...New York. He wanted to go back. The only reason he was staying in LA was because for some reason Riley wanted to.
"You pick the girls," he said, raising his eyebrows. He ignored the sorry comment...this was far more interesting. "I'm in as long as I get to approve the girls," he said. "Are you one of them?" he asked.
Jasper was amused by Aly's friend. He knew who she was--one of the popular girls. Just what he needed, if he was going to make his way to the top and rule his new school. And his birthday, he was quite pleased that Alyson brought that up. It was as if everything was finally falling into place.
"I think that threesome is present enough," he teased as he eyed both the girls. Heck, he'd do them both but he knew Aly would never go for it, and it was doubtful her friend would either. "But speaking of my birthday, I was thinking of having a little party tomorrow night. Nothing big, just a few people--invite your friends, even," he said, not mentioning that if they didn't there would be no one at his party aside from his sister. The girls didn't know that. "While I'm working on my housing, I've been staying at The Standard, downtown, in the presidential suite," he told them. This wasn't a complete lie. Sure he was technically still in Compton, but he had already made a reservation at the fancy Los Angeles hotel, where he planned to stay until he could move into his new place. "I'm thinking some cocktails--top shelf only of course, and I'm thinking some champagne--would you ladies prefer Cristal or Dom Perignon?" he asked, looking at them both.
