He has one younger sister, Athena, who is currently the drummer of her own little band named Kottak. His family moved to California a year after his birth. Spence has one of those fairytale families no one believes in... but he does because he has them. His family rarely fights and lives in a big house. He has no worries about them...

Other Information: His first successful band Suite 19 played the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles. At this time he met future bandmate, Nikki Sixx ((Gunner)). Casually, Sixx was forming a theatrical band that would specialize in anthemic heavy metal, and was impressed by Spencer's drumming.
Shortly afterward, guitarist Mick Mars joined the band. Mars recommended a singer Spencer had met while in his first high school, Tom Henzick, who soon joined the group, and PRIMAL SCREAM was formed.
