A Day in the Life (Tag Jeremy)

Jade had been up an hour, he had a half day at school before he had an appointment to see the doctor that afternoon, so he was in no rush to leave the house, he had borrowed his parents car, the land rover would hopefully do something to not annoy Jeremy's parents.

"Al I'm taking mom and dad's car." Jade said to his brother as he took the keys from the dish by the door.

"Do you want some company this afternoon?" Alex asked as he came out of the living room.

"I don't particularly need three people to come with Alex, but your welcome to come along though." Jade said to him Alex grinned.

"I might just take you up on this." Alex said grabbing his own car keys. "You trying to appease Jeremy's parents by turning up in another of our cars?" Alex asked Jade gave him a withering look before opening the front door. "What if their green nuts?" Alex asked Jade chuckled as he entered the garage leaving his brother still standing in the door way.

"Then you can help me dig myself a deeper hole than before." Jade said to him Alex laughed as he Jade opened the car door and got in. "See you at school." Jade said slamming the door closed.

Twenty minutes later

Jade pulled to a stop outside the Warner house, easing out of the car he walked up with sunglasses on, glad that the air conditioning worked in his car of choice this morning, he walked up to the door of the house ringing the door bell and removing his sunglasses.

Jeremy raced down the stairs as the doorbell rang. "I'm on it!" He bellowed through the Warner household, hoping to beat his parents to the door.

"Nice try firefly, off to the kitchen till I talk to Jade." James scolded Jere, who headed into the kitchen like a sad puppy. James went to the door and smiled as he opened it. "Jade, come in sit down." Sounding like the spider to the fly.

"You and Jere have something special and his mother and I are all for it but after what happened this past weekend, he's a bit of trouble. We won't be overly dramatic and say you two can't see each other ever again, he just needs to stay home this weekend with us. I hope you understand." James gave Jade a look. "Next time plans change remind him to call us here at home." He smiled showing there were no hard feelings. "I'm done Jere, come on in."

Jere entered, his cheeks slightly flushed from embarrassment after overhearing the conversation.

"I'll leave you two alone." James said and headed into his den.

Jere embraced Jade. "He didn't rip you a new one, thats good." He kissed Jade. "And your still standing, also good." He loved the feeling being in another's arms. "Off to school or a stop for some caffeine first?"

Jade listened to the man speak without saying a word in reply, he had expected a dressing down and that was exactly what he didn't get, not in the traditional sense anyway.

"Of course I completely understand sir." Jade said to him, he didn't think it was a good idea to bring up that he had no understanding of the word parental control on the same level as Jeremy did.

Jade watched the man leave and Jeremy walk into the room, "Caught red handed huh." Jade said as he took in the red cheeks of his boyfriend. "Your father wasn't as draconian as I thought he would be, though I get the feeling if it was your mom it would be an entirely different story." Jade said to the boy with a grin on his face.

"Coffee first... there is a decent one near the school, thats never full of kids at this time of day, honestly I don't think the college kids or our seniors for that matter even know this place exists." Jade said with a grin as. "Change of car this morning, no low rides to get into anyway." Jade said to him. "I like to think that this is a little less high profile than the Aston." Jade whispered as he unlocked the car. "My doctor's is in a less than stellar aread, I'd rather not chance my own car, so I brought my parents one along for a ride." Jade said as he switched the car on the radio came on to his favourite channel whcih he turned down a lot. "Sorry about that." Jade said as he shifted the car into gear.

"So did you enjoy last night? I didn't really get the chance to ask you before the end of the night." Jade asked.

"I didn't know he'd call me out here after he was done guess I was wrong." Damn, there was that cheeky grin of Jade's, it just made him all the more cuter. He took a moment to stroke Jade's hair. "Dad has always been the let the punishment fit the crime style, mom is the slave driver." He mused. "Don't worry, your safe from the female wrath in this household. If you want to play it safe, next time you visit, bring mom some flowers she'll be in heaven with them." He didn't mind giving hints as to how to get on his mothers good side.

"Sounds good to me, the fewer people in there the better." He headed out with Jade to the car. "Ohhh the Land Rover again, just like the camp out." This was enjoyable for him. "I did get excused this afternoon if you want me to go with you, dad just said I had an appointment to go to, the school won't question it."

He closed his eyes as the music blasted him, something he was getting used to. "Its ok, I'm getting used to this."

"Let me think, I woke up and you were next to me, so yes I had fun last night. It beat getting arrested anyway."

Jade chuckled, "Sorry I do like to blare my music out, I just tend to forget that some people don't have the same taste in music that I have... since this is technically not my car, you can choose what we listen to... the rules don't apply to other peoples cars." Jade said to him turning to face him with a cheeky grin. "I actually wouldn't mind if you did that in the other car, but don't spread it around the place, I have a reputation to uphold after all." Jade said to him with a grin on his face.

"Flowers, I'll have to remember that for the next time I screw up with her son." Jade said as he turned the car around so it was facing the way he wanted it to go.

"Ah I know of at least a couple of people who got out of the rave without being arrested, Brad was one of them he managed to get to his photo shoot without his father killing him for being arrested." Jade said as he leant over and kissed him. "I would like for you to be with me this afternoon, but if your skipping out on a class you need to be in, you can consider yourself in the dog house." Jade said to him. "Alex already offered, but the last thing I really need is my brother, growling in my ear for not doing it sooner." Jade said smiling.
