"Yeah...but I think it would be more fun picking the names of the colors then anything else," she said. She didn't think the suggestion was lame because she didn't think he was serious about it. She figured it was more one of those 'what if's' like wouldn't it be cool to own an candy store kind of thing. Something that would be cool but the people talking about it knew it would never actually happen.
"Yeah...I'm glad there is some orange in it still," she admitted, "keeps me from looking like a Barbie....not that I really look like one anyway." Aly looked kind of like a Barbie doll...so did some of her friends. Brit didn't fit the mold. She was short and didn't really have boobs and although she'd been called pretty before, she didn't really think she was classically pretty like Aly or the other popular girls. She'd always thought of herself as more average, even when people told her differently. "I doubt I'd be able to convince the cheerleaders of anything let alone dyeing their hair...I'm not the most popular around here, at least not with the cheerleader/footballer crowd," she admitted, not that she minded. She'd rather they hate her because she was having a good time pranking them than be accepted by them and totally boring.
Brit tilted her head to the side as he went on about the Spanish. "Segundo does mean something...doesn't it," she said smirking, "and I believed you." She laughed and shook her head. "Wow, new kid...you really had me there. What's your name anyway?" she asked, figuring he wasn't so bad. Maybe if he liked pranks and stuff she could introduce him to the crew. They were all Gould students but so what. They might joke about the rivalries with the other school but none of them were serious about it--mostly because they weren't the school spirit type.
Brittany missed what he said...well she heard him...but since she was oblivious to flirting, she really didn't get it until his face turned bright red. "Are you okay?" she asked, obliviously, "you kinda look like you're going to explode..." She didn't get it...what had she done to embarrass him?
He went on about karaoke and she nodded her head. "Yeah the Beatles are cool...I imagine that song could kill someone's voice. I like doing oldies for Karaoke too...its more fun when everyone else knows the words too. When you pick someone obscure everyone kind of looks at you funny." She was kind of ignoring some of the things he was starting to say like macaroni and cheese karaoki. She didn't really know what he was getting at but she didn't want to embarrass him further if that's what she had done. She was confused by the sudden red face. Maybe he had some sort of condition.... Either way, she thought it best to just remain cordial, and not tease him just in case people really could explode.

Eddie was starting to get a little rattled. He was no Don Juan, that was for sure, but this girl seemed entirely oblivious to flirting! Maybe he was just trying to overcompensate for that crazy dream he had, trying to get Jessie out of his mind. He had a pretty instant attraction to this colorful-haired ingenue, but why was he even attempting to flirt with her? No doubt there were a lot of other girls in this school just as pretty as her, just as cool as her. Eddie had no clue when it came to girls.
“I don't know, you could probably pull of like 'Awesome Rock Out Barbie' or something.” Eddie smiled again, then quickly stopped. He did it again! He was flirting! There was just something about this girl that made him want to smile, and he did even bigger as she realized he had been messing with her. “I don't know what segundo means at all.” Eddie started to wonder when she asked his name. She asked his name! That was good, right? His name... all of a sudden Eddie's mouth and brain seemed as if they were on two entirely different planes of existence! He knew what he wanted to say but his mouth just wouldn't do it! “I'm... umm, Ed. Ward. Edward. But, umm, I just go by Eddie, mostly. Or Ed. Or, you know, uhh, whatever you want.” His mind was screaming at him, trying to get him to recover! “Yours?”
Eddie wiped his faced with his hand, hoping to get the red to go down. “Whew... is it hot in here?” He pulled his shirt to fan himself. He wasn't really that hot, but how else could he explain himself without telling the girl he didn't want class to start and hoped he could just sit here talking to her all day. “Guess I'm just not used to the heat on the West Coast yet, right?” He eked out a smile, hoping this girl didn't think he was crazy.
“Maybe you can't convince the cheerleaders to do something,” Eddie whispered, glancing around to make sure no one heard him as the hall slowly filled with students, “but I'm sure there's someone who could. Do you know anyone we could convince to help us? Otherwise, there's always the old bouillon in the shower head trick, you could make your sister smell like chicken all day...” Eddie wasn't a great prankster, but he'd heard of some things before. His brother got an apartment specifically because he heard a lot of football players in the dorms at USC were common victims of pranks. Maybe he could ask his brother for tips!

"Yeah...but Barbie's still...a Barbie, even if they dress her up like a rocker," Brittany shrugged, she could go on about how she wasn't tall enough and the lack of boobs but she didn't really want to talk about her boobs in front of this guy she just met, or anyone really. She laughed when he admitted to not knowing what Segundo meant. She felt a little dumb for not getting it the first time but Brit had never exactly been the best when it came to other languages anyway.
As he stammered on his name, Brittany started to get it...a little bit at least. Yeah he was new...probably nervous, especially being forced to start out at the wrong place on his first day of school, but he'd seemed like he was able talk before. That's when it hit her...the constant smiling...the jokes...the blushing...he was flirting with her! Why was she so dense....not she felt really dumb...dumb enough to blush a little herself. "Well...uh...nice to meet you...Eddie or Ed," she said a little lamely, "I'm Brittany." Now that she realized he'd been flirting with her, she felt strange. She'd never been in this situation before. On the rare occasion that a guy flirted with her, she usually had no reason not to flirt back, if she wanted to. But now...now was different. She'd have to somehow work Evan into the conversation. She couldn't just state that she had a boyfriend because that would make it seem even more often.
As he went on about it being hot, Brit could also feel a wave of heat coming over her, mostly because she felt so stupid for not realizing what was going on. "Yeah...its really...hot for this time of year," she said, "usually it doesn't even get this hot in the summer...well I guess it does depending on where you live. Riverside can get hot but El Segundo is closer to the beach so its usually a little cooler..."
"Yeah...I don't think anyone I talk to could convince them of anything, aside from my step-sister of course and that would kind of defeat the purpose." She shrugged. "Not like I really need to convince them of anything...we'll just come up with a prank that doesn't involved talking to them, because really who wants to do that anyway. Plus, Evan...my boyfriend...said that he was able to track down some farm animals, so that should be a go any time now." There, she'd said it...she really hoped she'd been smooth about it because it wasn't as if she wanted to hurt the guy's feelings or anything. It was taking extra long to get down the hallways because they were extra crowded being the two schools had combined again. Brit had also failed to locate any of her friends thus far.
"Does that work?" she asked about the bouillon cube. "Would it go away after one shower? I'd hate to like forget that it was there and cause my whole family including myself to smell like chicken," she pointed out.

“Brittany...” Eddie was starting to feel pretty good about this. “It's, uh, really nice to meet you, too. Really I'm just glad to meet anyone out here, but it's nice to make friends.” Friends? Were they? He just met this Brittany, and though they had some things in common he sure didn't know if she would want to be his friend. She was starting flush a little, though. Eddie wasn't sure what this girl thought of him, but it would be nice to hang out with her and get to know her better. Who knows what could happen from there? “Yeah... this heat.” Eddie smiled and started to relax a little, and he didn't feel so embarrassed anymore.
Until Brittany mentioned a boyfriend, that is. Duh, Eddie! You idiot! Of course this girl has a boyfriend, why were flirting with her right away? She's cute, she's super cool, of course she's not single. She probably has lines of rocker dudes just waiting to try to date her. Eddie felt like he made a complete fool of himself. The girl didn't like him, she just felt bad for him! “Yeah, cheerleaders. What are you going to do?” Eddie wasn't sure what to say to Brittany now. Did she drop the boyfriend bomb on purpose to scare him away? She had to have noticed the flirting. He had to keep up with the conversation, though. “Umm, I guess being from Iowa, farm animals aren't really a big deal. You see tons of farms along any highway.” Should he have said that? He didn't want her to think that he thought Evan's prank was tame. The last thing Eddie wanted to do was be the guy that ragged on her boyfriend, especially since he didn't know this Evan. Eddie just hoped his locker was close.
“Umm, yeah, it works. Just depends on the shower head, if it unscrews the right way. But you would need to rinse it out all the way before using it again. Residue, and all that.” Eddie glanced around. The hallways were getting pretty crowded. It made sense since there were twice as many kids in the school. What if Evan showed up? Eddie was worried that would be extremely awkward. He had to escape from this situation. “Umm, thanks for the help, I think I can find my locker from here.” Eddie started to hurry through the crowds of people and get some separation between himself and Brittany. “It was, uh, nice to meet you. Brittany.” Eddie nodded, then slipped past another person.
*go after him or wrap, your choice!*

OOC: Just couldn’t help myself. ;D
His head had much better days, and the sun was especially bright, so the fact that Tyler had even made it to school, on time and immaculately dressed, not looking like he had spent most of the night drinking and partying, was impressive. It was only because he was able to hold his drink, he had a lot of practice, and the painkillers he downed the moment he woke up. He wondered if Jett would be making an appearance, his friend went as hard, or even harder, than he had that night.
But it was either go to school or hang around the house all day and be latched onto by his step-mother. He liked the woman, she was nice enough, and good for his father, she just wasn’t his idea of pleasant company. Besides, he had a sort of revelation last night at the bar, with a drink in his hand and a woman on his lap.
He was Tyler Durnham. He was rich, powerful, handsome, he was part of the elite. He could have whatever, and whoever, he wanted. So, the last thing he should be doing is letting some band girl, no matter how cute or interesting she seemed to be, get to him. It should be the other way around. It would be the other way around. He was back on his game now, he was thinking clearly, and Maggy wouldn’t know what hit her soon enough. She would be throwing herself at his feet.
There were other matters to take care of that day, he remembered, a very odd sight catching his attention. As he got closer, a guy headed his way and Tyler moved aside to let him through, before taking position in front of the pyjama adorned girl. Aly showed him how good she was with her mouth, and while he felt he returned the favour tenfold, he couldn’t pass up this opportunity.
“Brittany.” he just managed to remember, grinning appreciatively as he looked the girl up and down slowly. “Nice pyjamas. Aly was right though, quite an improvement. You’re much more beautiful this way.” he smiled, reaching a hand out to twirl a few strands of hair between his fingers.

Brittany was beyond confused when the new kid, Eddie ran away from her. What had she done? Was it because she'd mentioned Evan? It's not that had been aiming to scare him off...he seemed like an okay guy. She just had wanted to let him know she had a boyfriend so he wouldn't try and hit on her or nothing. She watched as he squeezed past Tyler Durham and into the crowd, debating on whether she should go after him and see what she'd done or just let him go and be weird to someone else. But she didn't really get the chance because after Eddie pushed passed him, Tyler approached her, and with a smile no less.
He actually knew her name? It was something most girls would have gone weak at the knees for...Tyler Durham knowing their name. Sure, Brittany was surprised, but she wasn't exactly flattered. Unlike most of the girls at Gould who were all in love with the popular boy, Brittany thought that he was kind of a jerk. She supposed he was good looking but he wasn't the type of guy she was attracted to...he was way too clean cut and put together for her taste. Still, despite whether her look attracted her or not, his personality definitely didn't. He was way too full of himself. Sure, Evan would throw out little comments about how great he was, but he was always joking and laughing about it. If Tyler told a girl that she was lucky to have him, he wouldn't be laughing about it.
She raised her eyebrows as he complimented her pajamas and then touched her hair. What on earth was he doing? Aly was right? Had she put him up to this? Was Aly really planning on making Brit's day as miserable as possible just because of the cake thing? Okay, maybe Brittany kind of had expected Aly to retaliate--she'd known she'd get blamed for it...but getting Tyler Durham to hit on her...she definitely never would have expected that.
Brittany really didn't have a very dirty mouth. Sure, she cursed sometimes, after all, who didn't, but for the most part she wasn't going around and cursing up a storm of dropping f-bombs in-between every-other word like some people did. However, based on the way Tyler Durham was acting towards her, the only words her mouth could seem to form were less than pleasant. She looked up at him and gave him a look, "What the fuck?!" she said.

Eddie managed to find his locker pretty easily, it actually wasn't very far from where he left Brittany. He actually probably didn't even need to ask her for help, since it was in the same hallway. Standing alone in front of the wall, Eddie silently cursed himself, even managing a kick to the locker. It drew a few stares, but he wasn't too concerned with that. His face was already bright red, still embarrassed about what had just occurred with Brittany. He glanced back.
A very handsome dude was twirling Brittany's blonde hair. Now it all made sense! Of course Brittany was dating a dude that looked like that! He was tall, cool looking, had all the confidence in the world. Eddie couldn't watch anymore. There were probably a million guys in LA that were as cool as that guy, or even cooler. Eddie opened the locker, thanking whatever higher power was keeping his new locker-mate away. He didn't think he had the capacity to even speak right now, the sheer frustration of life just completely overwhelming him. Things were easier back home, he knew what was going on. Eddie hated that he had to try to learn an entire social ecosystem all over again! Who was cool, who wasn't, who was nice, who he should stay away from, and most importantly who was dating who! And obviously, Brittany the Rocker Girl was dating Tall Captain Cool Guy. Evan.
There's no way Eddie would ever have a chance with her.

Tyler loved women. He never made an effort to keep it a secret, couldn’t if he wanted to. His ways were pretty well known around the school, which was fine by him. Gave him more options, and helped keep down the number of delusional women who thought that they could ‘tame’ him, make him a one woman man. That just wasn’t him, and he had thought that if he ever decided to stick, well, attempt to stick to just one, she would be a hell of an amazing girl. It was lucky for him that women loved him back.
Most of them anyway. Brittany’s short, blunt reaction to him was admittedly a first. But he hadn’t really expected the girl to immediately fall into his arms. They weren’t each others’ type it seemed. She was far too tomboyish for him, not nearly feminine enough. And pyjamas to school? It might be a little funny, sure, but not in a girl he was interested on. And there was the small, not so important matter of the girl being taken. Which didn’t matter. Even if a girl was dating, they would most likely choose Tyler over their unlucky boyfriend for a night. He knew from personal experience.
And so he laughed, his tongue snaking out over his lips. He continued to twirl her hair for just a moment before pulling his hand away. But he still kept himself close, he was trying to seem interested after all. He might even be persuaded to take the girl out. Could be funny.
“Something wrong Brittany?” Tyler asked, accompanied by his award winning smile. Oh yeah, he was back on his game. “I just really like what you’ve done with your hair. It looks good. Not to say I didn’t like it before. Red hair has always been a favourite of mine.” he managed to recall, from what Aly had told him yesterday, during coffee and lounging around his pool. It couldn’t hurt to have the girl think his attention to her was more than on just this one day. Which was completely untrue, but that was minor details. He couldn’t even vaguely remember her with red hair. She wasn’t a girl he would normally pay notice to.
His grin brightened just a little more as he sent another look at her outfit of choice. “If you don’t mind me asking, what’s with the pyjamas?”

"Yeah...something's wrong," Brittany managed, "you're talking to me...you, don't talk to me...ever...and to be honest...I kind of like it that way," she smirked. No, Brittany wasn't even going to pretend to go all weak at the knees. She had never liked Tyler Durham and she never would. Even if he was her type, his attitude had always been a huge turn off.
As he went on about her hair, she wondered for a fleeting moment if he did have some interest in her, but decided that he didn't. Tyler Durham wasn't really interested in any girls. She knew his reputation enough to know that he never stuck with anyone very long. If he was showing interest in her it was probably just to prove all the girls at school were interested in him. Well, she wasn't and she wasn't going to give into his charm.
"Yeah, like you really like unnaturally bright red hair...I'll believe that one when I see it in action," she said, rolling her hazel eyes. She folded her arms across her chest, not wanting to give him any indication what-so-ever that she was interested. No way, no how. Although, she'd imagine that Evan would get a kick out of it later when she told him. She was pretty sure he wouldn't be mad, after all, Brittany probably had a better shot of spontaneously combusting before going out with a guy like Tyler.
"Well, makes it more comfortable to sleep in class," she quipped when he asked about the pajamas. Rolling her eyes again she made a face at him, "Aly stole all my clothes...I wasn't about to wear the lamo cheerleading uniform she left in my closet so pajamas it is," she said. "Why would you care what I wear anyway," she said, pausing for a moment. Aly stealing her clothes...Tyler pretending to be interested in her, "She didn't put you up to this, did she?" Brittany asked, glaring up at him.

Tyler just managed to stop holding his hand over his chest at Brittany’s insult, one that she made no effort to hide. He thought that might be going a little too over the top. The girl was amusing him though, wasn’t some lifeless bimbo. And he liked that, to an extent. Too bad she was such a tomboy. Really, he didn’t know what her boyfriend saw in her. If he dated a girl, and by date, take her out for a night, or stay in, Tyler wanted her to at least go to some sort of effort to look feminine. A bit of make up, a skirt or dress, maybe some high heels. Wasn’t much to ask for, he thought. He couldn’t see the girl opposite dressing nicely like that though.
“I deserve that, I know. Not like I’ve made an effort to be social in the past.” he grinned, her comments not breaking his stride in the slightest. “Well, won’t say I like every girl I come across with unnaturally bright red hair. Just the one.” Tyler grinned, enjoying himself far too much. “It’s something different. Makes you stand out. Made me notice you a while ago.” he told her. “Though, not to say I don’t like the blonde.”
“Who? Oh, Aly? Put me up to what, talking to you? Come on Brit, I don’t need to be put up to talk to a beautiful girl like yourself. You don’t seem to be all that comfortable with the attention. Have to say, surprises me.” He would have to fill in Aly about this later, if Brittany didn’t beat him to it first. The girl would surely find it as funny as he was. “It’s a shame though, I, and I’m sure at least half the guys in the school would agree, would have loved to see you dress up as a cheerleader for a day.”
