'How the hell could she do this?' Wynn thought to himself as he slowly picked at the crust of his peanut butter and grape jelly sandwich. He lost his appetite early in the day seeing Haley and Cam in the compromising position then her not going after him made him knew where he stood with her. What happened to the 'I need more time' or 'I need to tell my friends'? He sighed and pushed the sandwich aside.
Who ever said it was better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all had never been alone on Valentine's Day. He sat at a table by himself, which even looked more sad with the amount of students there were at the school.
He turned aroud and looked over sea of students, was there no one there that even had a spark of interest in him? He ruined his chances with Haley, blew it with Julia. He had to face facts, he wasn't one for a relationship of any kind.
He sighed, maybe the life of a man of the cloth would be in store for him, although the idea made him shudder. He'd never make it in a confessional, he had his own problems to think about someone else's. He didn't see a shadow of someone coming up behind him.

Julia spotted Wynn sitting by himself and he looked so miserable and so lonesome that it broke her heart. Sure, she had said she would leave him in peace to pursue Haley, but he wasn't even sitting with her! Maybe she had told him to go away. Whatever the reason, she made up her mind right then to invite him to her impromptu party -- the guests up until that point had consisted of herself, Connor, and Jeremy. She was as yet unaware that her brother had made his own impromptu plans.
"Mae govannen." She was not above using Sindarin in the presence of other people, especially her fellow geeks. Okay, there was the greeting, now she just had to continue on to the actual inviting. The inviting would definitely be the difficult part. "Umm." She attempted, and then, "Erm." Yeah, this was going well already. "So you know, I, uhh," That was a little better, but then she stalled for a bit, trying to make her brain think of words instead of how cute Wynn was. She was supposed to be getting over him!
She shook herself mentally before continuing, "I was thinking of having this party, right, well, maybe not a party exactly, just me'n'Jere'n'Connor," She explained, "Make some cookies, be goofy, complain about being single, the usual V'day routie, right? You can come if you want. I mean, if you don't already have plans. I promise Jere won't hit you. And Connor won't hit you, either, actually, I would kind of laugh if Connor tried to hit anyone." She then realized she was rambling, and so quickly jerked back on topic, "So, you know, if you don't have plans, it's better than sitting at home alone."
ooc: If anyone else wants to jump in -- say, Haley comes over at around the same time or Connor makes it over from school -- I will not cry. The more the merrier! ^_~

The moment it hit lunchtime, Connor raced over to Silver, wanting to find Julia before he had to race back. He wasn’t familiar with the school after all, had only seen the front a few times on the odd occasion he swung by to pick his friend up. He’d been looking forward to that night, sounded like a good group get-together, and he was hoping that she was still free. Though, plans could always be merged easy enough.
He was going to call her to find out where she was, but Connor wanted to make it a surprise visit. Seeing how Julia wasn’t one of those annoying girls who refused to eat, somehow thinking that would make them more attractive when it seemed the opposite to him, he figured he would have his best chance of finding her in the cafeteria.
On his way there, he got the distinct feeling that perhaps, generally speaking, people were nicer at Gould. Could just be the school spirit coming into play, oh the horror, but he had trouble getting anyone to actually help him get to the cafeteria. But, he realised, that could also be because of the day, most people he passed on he way seemed far more interested in each other than anyone else.
Julia was easy to spot, sitting with a guy Connor hadn’t seen before but he had a fair idea who it could be. He just hoped his friend wouldn’t get hurt again. Coming up behind them, he grinned at catching the last of their conversation. “Hey, I’ll have you now, I happen to be considered a real bad boy, could hit someone if I want to. It’s just that there’s no one I want to hit.” Connor tease, barely giving Wynn a glance. “You’re got some plans for us? I came over to invite you out with a few Gould students, you know, we Gould ones are the most fun. But, I’m in, if you’re up for a few others.” he laughed lightly.

[Character: Ashley Bolton]
Ashley was a little preoccupied as he entered the cafeteria, his mom had called him just after class out and asked him to head home as she had to go into work, he had an arrangement at school so he didn't fall behind in his work, the news that his son had been to their general practitioner and had a bad case of tonselitis.
He grabbed his lunch and looked around the hall he smiled as he spotted Julia nearby he saw another boy heading that way, and thought what the hell he had an hour and a half to get back to the room.
"Nothing is worth hitting someone over Julia, well not quite but close enough." Ashley said to her as he approached from the side. "Would it be okay to take the last spot at the table, I have to eat a quick lunch before heading home." Ashley said to her, he didn't know the other two at the table though the curly haired one had approached just before he had. "Mom has to go into the office so to speak." he explained to Julia.
He stood hoping that the kind girl from the morning wouldn't tell him to bog of.

Wynn looked up gloomily at Julia, and shook his head. "I just as soon be alone tonight." That was far from the truth, he wanted to be around people and just wanted to be accepted. He didn't know if the news had been spread but he trusted Julia at the moment, that was until some uninivited guests showed up.
"What the hell is this, pity party for Wynn?" He protested angrily. He really didn't know who the curly haired guy was, he assumed that was Connor and the other guy he had seen around the school but never really spoke to him. "God good news sure travels fast! Yeah I was dumped like a bag of garbage the last thing I want is anyone's sympathy!" There was a catch in his throat, he had let his anger get the better of him. "I--I'm sorry." Julia had only been trying to be friendly and make an offer, which was better than the alternative.
He sighed. "If I haven't already made an ass of myself, I wouldn't mind coming over cookies sound good right now." That was a good sign, his appetite was coming back, even it was for sweets.

"Oh, hey!" Julia twisted around to look up at Connor, "What are you doing here! It's a little early for school to be out." She was surprised to see him, given that they went to different schools, and a little embarrassed that he had overheard her comment on how unintimidating he was. "Sorry, sorry, I'm sure you could hit someone if you wanted to. I can hit people, too. Doesn't mean it will do much damage, though." She grinned, punching him lightly in the arm to demonstrate.
"Yeah, was wondering if you wanted to hang out, bake cookies and stuff, with me and Jere and Wynn. Ummm, this is Wynn. Wynn, Connor," She introduced the two. "I dunno about inviting your friends along, though. I mean, they are from Gould." She grimaced at her friend. "And you know how I hate Gould, you're lucky you're cool, or else I wouldn't lower my awesome reputation to talk to you."
She was almost as surprised when Ashley approached as when Wynn had. "What?!" She asked in mock indignation, "Violence is always the answer. Don't you play video games? Oh, wait, no, you probably don't, do you." She realized. With a two-year-old at home, he probably did not have time to pass idly killing things on his computer. That was a shame, nothing like taking your rage out on the hapless wildlife and other players in World of Warcraft.
Her face fell when the blonde mentioned having to return home. "That sucks," she sympathized, "Yeah, sure, sit, there's plenty of room. Still want us to make a cookie drop off for you? Umm, guys, this is Ashley. Ashley, Wynn and Connor." She nodded to the other two boys as she introduced them.
The brunette couldn't believe Wynn would accuse her of bringing the other two boys over for a pity party. "Excuse me, then," She said coolly, "I didn't know." So Haley had finally let her intentions be known. She knew that had to hurt, but it could only be a good thing in the long run.
She shook her head at his apology and waved one hand dismissively, "Hey, if you are still willing to hang around me after my ahhh very unfortunate loss of temper the other month, then you are still invited."
She looked over to Connor again, "So who're these friends of yours?" She had yet to hang out with Connor with anyone else, excluding Jeremy since he was almost always around if he wasn't working. He had been pretty aloof, lately, but she didn't think that was anything Connor did, she was sure it was entirely the camping trip.

Cameron had just finished paying for his lunch when his cell phone rang. Seeing an unknown number, he picked up right away. He'd made a number of calls concerning his date tonight and he was hoping..."Hello?" he said. The restaurant! Perfect. Holding his tray in one hand and his other hand securing his iphone next to his ear, he made his way through the cafateria, not really paying attention to where he was heading. Of course he should be looking Haley but he was way to wrapped up in his phone conversation. "Yeah, 8 o'clock is perfect," he smiled, saying the words just as he unknowingly started to pass Wynn's table. "Yes, thank you so much," he said, "bye." He paused to put his phone away, looking up for the first time to see Wynn surrounded by Julia, Ashley, and some guy he didn't really know. Now, Cameron did kind of want to gloat. He wanted to let all the jocks and popular kids know that he was Haley's boyfriend. But he did NOT want to gloat to Wynn. He and Wynn might not be friends anymore, due to their mutual interest in Haley, but Cam didn't have any bad feelings towards the boy. In fact, he knew exactly how Wynn felt because he'd felt it the night Wynn had showed up to his birthday party with Haley. In fact, standing there staring at the group, Cam felt utterly stupid. He could feel his cheeks turning pink. "Um...uh...yeah...I'm just gonna..." Cam turned and started to walk away... OOC: feel free to address him or to just let him walk away...I figure either way it would cause some drama

The arrival had now ruined the moment.
The tempature dropped several degrees as Wynn eyed Cam. How dare he come around to the table. He slowly stood and faced him, almost like Wolverine facing off against Sabertooth, but if both characters were much skinner and and both rather geeky looking.
"So," Wynn said with the ice chips forming on each word. "You come to boast and brag about you and...and that bleach bottle blond bit--bimbo?" Not the word he wanted to say but with Julia present he kept the language clean. He wasn't one to be violent but he felt his rage growing more and more by moment.
Finally he did something that no one would have ever suspected him of doing, he hit Cam. So it couldn't really constitute as a punch or even a slap really more like someone who was swatting an annoying mosquito. Wynn knew it wasn't right but at the same time he couldn't hold his temper back, he would have exploded which wouldn't have been a pretty mess to clean up.
"Why don't you just go back to Haley," her name came out sounding like sewer sludge. "You two just seem so happy together."
(ooc: more drama, the better!)

The moment Julia punched him, Connor held a hand to his arm, looking offended. “Hey, what did you do that for? That...yeah, you’re right. That didn’t hurt in the slightest.” he teased. When introduced to Wynn, he gave the other guy a quick wave, but wasn’t too sure, or too keen either, on being overly friendly to him, for how he treated Julia. Laughing at Julia’s comments about Gould and himself, he shot a mock grateful expression her way. “I know, every day I wake up, my first thoughts center on how grateful I am that I’m cool, and I hope that I will stay that way, if only so you will still hang out with me.”
He gave another quick wave to Ashley when he came over, smiling more warmly at him than he did with Wynn. “See, that man knows what he’s talking about. Violence is not the answer. I’m glad I have a witness to your vicious attack.” he joked lightly, now starting to feel just a little hungry when the word lunch was actually said. Maybe it would have been a smart idea to get something to eat before coming.
“Well, there’s Izzy, she’s on the paper with me. And maybe Eden and Ben, they’re twins. They’re the only ones so far, except I’m going to try to track down my friend Sunar, see if he has plans. I assure you, that for Gould students, they’re pretty cool. I’ll give you my word.” Connor grinned, detailing the invitees and possibles for their night of hanging out and cookies.
Seeing the outburst from Wynn, Connor could only guess the other guy was the Cam Julia had mentioned to him, once or twice before. Seeing the hit, a quick glance made it obvious that it was unexpected. “Maybe violence is the answer.” he whispered softly to Ashley, before turning to his friend. He figured this was not something she wanted to be even remotely close to. “Hey, why don’t we get out of here, you can show me around?”

"No...I..." Cam began timidly. He really hadn't wanted to step on any toes. "I was...on the phone..." he began to explain but then he heard something he'd never thought he'd hear. "Haley. Is. NOT. A. Bimbo! Don't you dare call her that!" his words were so forceful that their intensity surprised him. But Wynn had no right calling her that! He of all people should know that she was more than that. No matter how hurt Cam was, he knew he'd never say anything bad about Haley...never. He wanted to add that Wynn was only calling her that because he was jealous, but Cam had already won. He had the girl and he didn't see any reason to rub salt into the wound.
But Wynn took it further. He hit him. Cam stood there in shock for a split second. He still had his lunch tray in his hands and the bottle of water on it fall over on impact. Thankfully the cap was on--Cam placed his tray on the table adjacent to him, not quite slamming it down, but not being gentle about it either. He gave Wynn a look. "Don't hit me," he said, giving the other boy a shove. It wasn't really too hard--Cam didn't want to fight Wynn, but he also wasn't going to just take the other boy's abuse.
"I wasn't trying to gloat," he snapped, still with more force an intensity in his voice than he normally had, "I was on the phone...I wasn't watching where I was walking!" he explain-shouted. "Now you know how I felt when you showed up to my birthday party with her," he said, shaking his head at Wynn. He was really trying to hold on to the fact that they'd once been friends but Wynn was making it really really hard. After all, Cam had liked Haley first. And it wasn't as if he told her to pick him...he'd just stayed by her side and waited until she finally decided to like him back.
