Evening BBQ on the Back Deck (Tag Jere and Sarah)

It had been a couple of hours since Jere had left, but not before his father had invited him and Sarah back for their departing BBQ party that evening, Jade had been shouted at for the better part of the last two hours, Jade knew it was coming because of how things had gone that morning.

"Your glasses JJ." his mother said from the door way, Jade looked back at her. "You've been wearing your contacts a lot time to rest those eyes, your at home so it won't matter to the others." she said Jade smiled at her before entering his bathroom to do as ordered, he wasn't in the mood to argue with his mother other something small it would just invite another argument. "Is Jeremy coming back?" she asked.

"Yes as far as I know he is, I don't know about Sarah." Jade said to her.

"I've made an appointment for you on Monday." his mother said to him Jade made a face. "Why on gods earth would you do this to yourself, Alex told me you had an attack this morning." she said to him Jade blushed. "Your father and I worry about you more than the others." she said to him.

"I know, but you don't need to worry about me." Jade said as he straightened his tie.

"You look as good in a suit as your father." she said Jade broke a smile. "Now the staff is staying on so you two don't have to worry about fending for yourselves." she added.

"Mom we can manage, you spend far to much time away for us not to." Jade said she chuckled at this.

"No major parties this time okay, I know you were the mastermind behind the last one you had here, before we came back the last time." she said he blushed furiously. "Your brother is not the only trouble maker in this family is he." she said.

"He tends to take the blame solely, for things we did together." Jade said to her she smiled. "We should get down to the party before our presence is missed." Jade said to her.

"This is for you." she said handing him a box. "Your father decided it was time for you both to have a decent watch, I know your angry at him for having people watch you, but your a part of a very rich family and your security is your fathers top priority." she said as he opened the box.

"Yes well he didn't have to lie about it mom." Jade said as he took the watch out of its case, he knew enough not to ask value, but he also knew enough to know that it would not have been cheap.

"Thank him when you see him, now go be with that handsome devil you managed to land, after the stunt you pulled with Mike your lucky to still have him." she said Jade laughed before leaving his room with his mother, the smell of the first rate cooking was already assaulting his nose.

Sarah had left after lunch. She had to run home to run interference real quick. She had gotten a text from her sister, or else she would have stayed. Plus from what she saw earlier, Jade needed family time for a bit so they could talk without prying ears. Sarah hated when other people were around to hear her fight with her mom or to hear her parents fight. it was embarrassing. She decided to go back for the BBQ. How could she turn it down. Besides she wanted to impress Alex's parents. Not that she would care the impression she left but she really liked Alex and he was different from any guy she dated and she was hoping she was different from any girl he had dated.

So Sarah came back for the BBQ. She rang the door bell and waited for a servant to answer the door. The servant told her to go to the backyard and she did. She could smell the grill right away and it smelled good. Sarah spotted Alex quickly and snuck up behind him, although it was not a quiet sneak. Alex could defiantly hear her coming. And she knew it was Alex and not Jade. Sarah actually could tell the twins apart....sometimes.

Either way Sarah made sure to not jump him. That might not be nice especially in front of his parents. And by jump she meant jump on his back. "Boo." She said as she walked up behind him. It was not loud, but very playfully and she smiled. "Where is that handsome brother of yours...if only he was not gay...." she said jokingly as she gave Alex a kiss. "Smells good? Whose the cook?" She asked waiting for Jade and Jeremy to arrive. "Hey Jade....guess whose back...." she smiled as she finally spotted him.

After the dust had settled from the afternoons events, Jere headed home to get a quick nap in before the BBQ later that night. There was trouble though, James was sitting on the sofa waiting for him.

"Jeremiah Richard Warner, you have A LOT of explaining to do!" He wasn't smiling about it either.

Jeremy wasn't about to like to his father. "Jade and I were out later than expected and so we spent the night together and then we were back at his place for breakfast and lunch." Looked down towards the floor. "I know I screwed up and big time I should have called you or mom here. Whats my punishment?"

James sat back. "Grounded for one weekend. Friday after school you come straight home and you don't go anywhere till Monday morning. Is that understood?"

"Yes sir." Jeremy replied softly.

"I do have some good news though for you," James smiled. "You landed one of the major roles in 'South Pacific' at school. Your playing Joe Cable and Julia is in the chorus. Congratulations."

Jeremy couldn't believe his ears. "I got the other lead role? I...I don;t know what to say!" He was grinning ear to ear. Maybe now would be a good time to ask about the night. "Jade's folks invited me back over for a BBQ tonight, they're heading out of town tomorrow, am I allowed to go?"

James grinned slyly. "Ohhh your quick, yes you can go on the condition that you call me if you'll be later that ten."

"Thats a deal!" Jeremy smiled and shook his father's hand. It felt good to have a dad like him. Jeremy went up stairs and took a quick nap.

A couple hours later, he was up and getting dressed putting on his collarless green silk shirt, black dress pants and shoes. Not knowing who all the Edwards' knew there was no telling who would be there.

He arrived and was directed to the back where he saw Sarah, Alex and Jade. He smiled and went over to Jade. "Damn you look good tonight!" He said before he kissed him.

Jade walked over to the three of them, "Hey their Sarah." Jade said before kissing Jeremy in greeting. "Your not looking to bad either P. Charming." Jade said to him. "Sorry this is technically a leaving party for our parents, so you won't know anyone here most likely, just help youselves, you two are more welcome at the house than some of the people attending the party." Jade said to them. "I'm on orders to rest my eyes, I wear contacts way to much." Jade said to him with a grin.

"Identical we may be but I avoided the fast majority of our moms bad eyesight, another thing that Jade is cursed with." Alex said getting a kick in the shins from Jade hard enough to draw a pained yelp from his brother.

"Unless you want me discussing some of your less savoury obsessions please do continue to try an embarrass me." Jade said to his twin who blushed crimson. "Lets get food, I can't stand being this close to those steaks and not be eating them, theirs salad and normal party food here to, just help yourselves." Jade said.

"You can rest your eyes on me Jade." Jeremy gave him a playful wink." He looked over the table. "It all smells so wonderful!" Jeremy couldn't help himself. He started with a bit of the salad, trying to watch his figure. "When your parents throw a party, they throw a party." He commented dishing up a little more of this, that and the other thing without looking like a pig.

"So we get to be at the kids table then?" He laughed, remembering Thanksgivings where the grownups were at one place and the kids another. It seemed to take forever to sit at the adult table only to want to be back at the kid's table.

"Hey if you can't tease your siblings, who can you tease? Just ask Julia, I do it all the time to her!" He tried not to do anything that would hurt her feelings, just light hearted fun stuff. When one of the staff asked him for a drink, he took Sprite. He waited for the others before heading inside.

"Hey Jade, before we do anything I need to talk to you. I don't mind if Alex and Sarah hear as well, its nothing too horrible." He was just embarrassed about what happened.

Jade looked at Jeremy, "Does this have to do with where you spent last night or with whom you spent last night with? I hope your not in as much trouble or rather more trouble than I am, hell I'm not even in trouble for what I did last night, I just annoyed my parents." Jade said as he drew Jeremy into his arms. "If what happened caused any trouble, let me know, and I'll apologise next time I see your parents." Jade said to him with a smile. "I haven't met your mom yet, so do I have something to worry about when I meet her, and is your twin is going to kill me." Jade asked. "Because your dad doesn't scare me, but as a gay guy your mother and sister terrify me." Jade said with a grin.

"It doesn't matter where we have it, unless you want some privacy, these people are very good at holding each others secrets, any discussion we have will not leave this house, they dont want to piss my parents of, by dragging me or any of my friends through the mudd." Jade said Alex nodded. "And as my boyfriend you get extra protection for that." Jade said in his ear.

Well it has to do with more like me not calling home last night saying I was safe, guess there were some people arrested at the rave on grounds of trespassing." Jeremy still enjoyed the feel of Jade against him, even with clothes on.

"Right here is fine." He kissed Jade on the forehead, not knowing when he'd see him again.

"I've basicily been grounded next weekend, from Friday night after school till Monday morning, and thats just from my dad, I have no idea what mom has in store." The idea made him shudder still at least he and Julia had never been hit by either parent. "You have every reason to be scared, if you talk to each one alone, they'd be fine but together they become like Amazonian women!"

After he had spilled the beans about his consequences of his actions he grinned. "I solely take the blame here, after all I'm such a bad influence on you."

"But thats the long and short of it, so we need to make today last as long as we can. The only time I'll get to see you will be at school and even then we wouldn't be alone."
