Rosalie Naples woke up feeling good. The day before she was at the animal shelter, she also brought home a 18 pound male cat, that is a organe and white tabby named Ty. She gave him a scratch on the head and took her shower before getting dressed. She put on a pair of tight hip hugging jeans and a white tank top trimmed in pink lace and had threads of gold through it. Then she put let her long dark hair down and wavy and put on her white flip flops. Once dressed she headed down to the kitchen and grabbed a pop tart and started feeding her three dogs and two other cats.
When the animals were fed she told her parents good bye and left the house. Getting in the car she headed for the mall. She wanted to get some new clothes since there was major sales on, she would even make a trip to a few shoe stores and to Victoria's Secret and Fredricks of Hollywood.
At the mall she parked her car got out and locked the door behind her. Going inside she decided to get a iced coffee first from the food court. While waiting in line she heard someone call her name to her right and turned and smiled at them. "Hey" she said to them.

May and Bree hadn't quite made it to the bookstore, as Bree's father had called, demanding that she return home. May had decided to stay at the mall, not because she needed anything -- she had no intentions of buying anything, and she had no money, anyway -- but because it was fun to people watch. There were always droves of girls who prowled the mall in short skirts, and then there were the young mother's taking up the whole aisle with their strollers (always so many of these! She wondered sometimes if there weren't more of them than there were teenagers), and there were the mall punks with their expensively asymetrical hairstyles and hundred dollar jeans, and the bored retail employees who would really rather be anywhere else than working on the weekend. She felt bad for the employees most of all; perhaps they should ban working on the weekends. But, then she wouldn't have anything to do, and most of them probably needed those jobs and the hours, so maybe that was a bad idea, after all.
She decided to head to the food court, as she hadn't had anything to eat since lunch with Bree, and it was getting towards dinner time. She had been expecting to eat dinner alone, buy a cheap salad, but then she spotted a familiar face, and her own face lit up.
"Rosalie!" She hurried to the other girl. Rosalie attended Silver, but they both volunteered with many of the same groups, and that with coupled with their mutual love of cheerleading had led to a fast friendship. Rosalie certainly did not care that May's family were Muslim, and though she was attractive and dressed to prove it, she was not interested in projecting the air-head, sex kitten persona that so many of the other cheerleaders seemed to think was necessary (against their own natures, some of them, which annoyed her. She liked all of her fellow cheerleaders, and she really wished they wouldn't cave to societal expectations.) "How's your weekend been?"

Rosalie smiled as May walked up to her. "Hey May" she said to her good friend. She was not one to care about school names and such or even if someone is a different religion. Taking care to treat everyone the same was very important to her. But if you hurt her she does not forgive easily so that makes her treat them different from others, she is more the one to ignore someone before anything else, after they do something like that.
"I am just out doing some shopping, you can never have enough clothes" she said and laughed. "You know how that is though" she said to her. "Want to join me to eat?" she asked her. It was always more fun to be around someone else while shopping. "And you can join me in my shopping excersion if you are interested. I can always use a second opinion" she added as she moved forward with the line. "What have you gotten into this weekend?" she asked her with a smile on her face.
She really enjoyed spending time with May because they had so much in common. They could easily talk since they were into the same things, and enjoy doing the same things in their free time. The conversations just flowed and they always ended up laughing and having a good time.

"I would love to join you!" May agreed, pleased (though unsurprised) at Rosalie's offer. "What were you thinking of eating?" She glanced over to the counter her friend was waiting at, but it was all coffee's and pastries, which were fine, but she'd already had plenty of (some might even say too much) coffee earlier in the day. "I was hoping for a salad." She admitted. Some people seemed to believe that eating salads was akin to starving yourself, but May had to disagree; she thought fresh salads were simply divine.
"I was out with Bree earlier, looking at shoes. We were going to go to this new bookstore she found, but then her father called, so she had to go home," She shrugged, as if to say you know how that is. Bree's father was always keeping tabs on her, apparently worried that something would happen to his only child. Then, he had lost his wife already, so it must be difficult for him. "Yesterday I had dance, dance and more dance. It really ate up my whole day," She laughed, but far from minding, she loved the days she spent doing nothing but dance. She felt a little guilty to be spending so much time doing something that cost money and only benefited herself (and those watching, she supposed) rather than volunteering, but she loved dancing more than anything, even the afternoons spent teaching at-risk children to read, which was one of the most rewarding things she did all week. And still she thought dance was more fun.
One order later, she was sitting with Rosalie, giggling over her salad and scanning the packs of teenagers that slouched by. "The library wanted volunteers for reading hour, I was thinking of going over there tomorrow after school." She suggested, hoping that Rosalie would come, too. "It'll be so fun, the kids are always adorable."
She slid her gaze away from the group of girls entering the H&M, back to the other cheerleader. "Since Silver is going to be at Gould again..." She trailed off, stabbing a cherry tomato with her plastic fork, "Oh, I hope the locker assignments are different this time, the guy I was with last time was so annoying." She grimaced, "One of your footballers, he thought he was so cool. Maybe I'll get to share a locker with you." That would be a million times better than sharing with some neanderthal who didn't even know how to properly organize his belongings.

"I was at the animal shelter yesterday. Of course I came home with a animal" Rosalie laughed when they were seat at the table and she sipped her coffee adn took a bite of her danish. "He is so cute a big baby, he is 18 pounds, a male cat, and his a orange and white tabby, and he is so sweet. He cuddled up to me last night, while the dogs were on the floor, the other cats slept at the end of the bed." She had a lot of animals and who knows she might end up with more working at the shelter.
"It is great you love dancing so much. Everyone needs a passioin" she said honestly. "You are a great dancer" she said honestly and sweetly. "You can make a living with that, and still have time to volunteer" she said. She knew having money and the right name you could do so much more to help the world, travel and such, and give to charties that need it and families that need it.
"How is Bree?" she asked. "Shoes one of my many loves" she said and laughed and smiled and finished off her coffee and danish. "The library thing I have to see if I can" she said. "I am not sure if we are having pratice or not" she told her. She should find out and if not she would go for sure, she loved books, and she loved reading to kids, and getting them to love books in return.
"It will be interesting when the schools come together again. Espically with how serioius some people take the school rivarly" she said and crossed her legs at her ankles. "I am not sure when we will find out assignments. I hope we do soon, I am like you I want to know who I am with" she said to her. "Which jock we have enough" she said and laughed. "Do you remember his name?"

"Wow, 18 pounds!" May whistled. "That's one big kitty. What's his name? Am I going to get an introduction?" She knew she would, of course; she always got to meet the new additions to Rosalie's menagerie, but she still felt it necessary to ask.
She wasn't sure how much of a living she would be able to make as a professional dancer; she had been under the impression she was going to wait a lot of tables if she went that route. Unless perhaps she managed to join a company like ABT, which she would have loved. Either way, she wasn't sure how much free time she would have, or if even a principal at a big company could be considered a celebrity exactly. Maybe in certain circles. It didn't matter, though, because she wasn't sure if she was really going to attempt to dance professionally or go for something more practical and world-changing, like nurse or teacher.
"If you can, you must! It'll be fun," She promised. It was always fun, particularly if she had someone like Rosalie to share the joy and curiousity of the children with. "I'm trying to get Bree to go, but you know she's always having to rush home. Her dad's so protective."
She groaned at the remembrance of the interschool rivalry. "Ugh, tell me about it. Just because Gould has a better football team....sorry, just kidding," She grinned at the other girl. "It's so true, you'd think we were Palestine versus Israel or something. I guess that makes Silver Palestine...." She added. "But seriously, the fighting is so NOT necessary."
She shrugged at the last question. "Umm, I think it began with a K....Kevin.....no, no. Kel....Kellan? Yeah, that was it. Kellan. He was such a jerk. I swear he was trying to annoy me on purpose. But forget about that, I only cheer for the football players, I try not to associate with them otherwise." She made a face, only half-way joking. Most of the football players were perfectly all right, but even the decent ones seemed to think that just because she happened to be a cheerleader that she ought to fawn over them, which was never going to happen.

"Yeah he is a big boy, but acts like such a baby already, wanting all my attention" Rosalie laughed and smiled thinking of her lastest additon. To her they were her children, and she loved all them so much, they were not just animals, to her they were family. "His name is Ty and you can come meet him whenever. Usually whereve I went last night he followed me around the house, he is a big snuggler. I don't need a man when I have a cat like him" she laughed and smiled as she threw he trash in the trash can next to them.
"Bree's father does go overboard. I can understand watching over your children, my father does with me, but never to that extent" she said and sat down again and crossed her legs. "If he is not careful he will push her away, I have seen girls at the shelter that ran away from home and are now homeless because they wanted to get away from overbearing parents" she said. She did not want anything like that to happen to Bree because she was nice and did not need to go through anything like that. "Oh my dad was telling me about this charity his one friend is trying to help out. It is meetings for people with AIDs and HIV and you go visit them and just keep them encouraged and help around the house or whatever. I am going to do that over the weekend" she said. She had a heart for kids, animals, and people with things like AIDs and cancer, those were her things she really spent her time on.
"Boys will be boys" she said and sighed talking about the fighting and the rivalry. "Hey now no need to bash my team since I am a cheerleader for it" she teased May back. They always did laugh and did not let something stupid like that get in their way of their friendship. "Ah yes Kellan, maybe a jerk, but he sure is nice to look at" she said and laughed. She did not have a boyfriend so that gave her more right to look, it was nice to look, but sometimes relationships just have to much drama and crap with it.
