[Character: Jett Chen] [Location: Pierside]
To Jett's knowledge he slept with Eden. Which sucked. It ruined everything. She was Eden and he did not sleep with girls like her, especially her. How the hell had it happened. Jett was at such a loss. For once he had no idea what to do. How could he even talk to Eden....or mess with her knowing what they did. What made it worse is that he did not even remember it. Which was odd. Jett always remebered sex. He thought he remembered that night. That he had not drank or smoked that much, but apparently he had drank and smoked more then he thought.
Jett had avoided Eden and Ben all weekend. He did not even want to know what Ben would say about it. Then again maybe Eden had not told him, which would be nice. He would rather forget the night happened, but the idea was in his head. He had sex, he saw her naked, but he could not recall the memory at all. Actually the only way Jett even knew he had sex was because Eden said it and Izzy backed her up saying that Jett and Eden ended up making out all the way up to his room.
Jett had no idea that his sister and his friends were all in on some big joke and he was the victim. Jett decided to drink some more. Although drinking did get him into this mess, but it could help him forget. Jett sighed as he made his way to peirside. He had a fake ID. And to top it off Izzy insisted on going out alone, when there was gang violence to worry about and she just so happen to look Asian and Asian and Hispanics were being targeted. Jett sat at the bar and motioned for the bartender, "Beer please." He said in a not so happy voice.

The only times in his life Tyler had looked forward to school, was when there was a girl, or a football match. And in this case, it was a girl. Magdalena Veloz. Didn’t she realise she was lucky? Didn’t she realise that she could have what so many other girls were after, if only for a night. It made him want to shake sense into the woman. No other girl had given him this much trouble. If he showed real interest in a girl, then they showed it back. On the odd occasion he had to be persistent, but still, he won over the girl if he wanted her.
Except Maggy. She had to be avoiding him, he was certain of it. And it pissed him off. He had no idea why. It was Maggy after all, sure she was cute, in a unique sort of way that made him stare when she wasn’t looking, but she certainly wasn’t beautiful. She wasn’t his usual type, not someone he could take to his father’s parties, show off. She wasn’t someone like Melodee, who he could talk with and plot, nor Aly who was just simply gorgeous, and had a sharp mind to boot. Nor was she like any girl he’d ever been after.
But she was smart, had a way of looking at things that differed to his own view, intrigued him. She got excited, animated, over little things in a way he found appealing. She also had this sexy way of chewing on her lower lip when she thought. And she was avoiding him! She took playing hard to get to the extremes, it seemed. Either that, or she generally wasn’t interested in him. He didn’t know which option troubled him more. No girl wasn’t interested in him in one way or another, and he couldn’t see a reason why she of all people wouldn’t be.
It was probably this avoiding that was getting Tyler worked up, thinking about the girl more than he would have preferred. It was the wanting what he couldn’t have, he decided, that made him interested. Nothing to do with that intriguing girl herself. After some thought, he decided it would be best to wait until school before tracking her down. And getting this whole thing out of his system.
And he needed a drink, or better yet, more than one. He headed to his favourite spot to indulge in underage drinking, not feeling like moping around at home drinking. Damn, Maggy was getting under his skin. He didn’t like it one bit. He wasn’t surprised to see Jett at the bar, he often ran into at least one teammate whenever he came here. He made his way over to sit next to the man at the bar, ordering a scotch. “Hey Jett.” he greeted, and though he had felt like drinking alone, or with some female company to help him forget about that blasted woman, Jett would have to do as a substitute. “Let me guess, woman trouble?”

Eden, Eden, Eden.....for a woman who was not suppose to drive Jett crazy, she was doing a damn good job. He had never thought about her like this. And he was not even dating her. He just could not get her out of his mind and that was driving him mad. He sipped his beer and snorted when Tyler walked up. He liked Tyler, the guy was cool, but Jett was in a foul mood and it was not Tyler's fault. "What else would drive a man to want to get shit faced on a school night."
He finally smiled and motioned for Tyler to sit down, "Have a seat. What brings you here? A woman? I do not get why they are on this earth..." Jett said as he drank. "I mean I get it....trust me...women are fun, but certain ones just drive a man crazy. And I don't even like her." Jett claimed. It was silly for him to like Eden. It would never go anywhere. They were too different.
Jett downed his beer and motioned for another one. "Not to mention my sister decided to go out with a group of kids from school to go play ghost hunters. I warned her not to go, did she not hear that Asians and Hispanics have targets on their backs because of some stupid gang violence, but my sister finally decided to be defiant." Jett was not sure Tyler knew Izzy. She was quiet and meek, not really Tyler's type. Which was good. Jett would not want Izzy around a guy like Tyler. Not because Tyler was not a good guy, but more so because of his rep with the women. Jett was like Tyler in that way. Jett had slept with a lot of women, but Tyler beat him ten fold.

At least he wasn’t the only one with girls, troubling girls, or girl as the case may be, on his mind. It made Tyler feel less of a dope. At least, a little less like one. But still, it was irritating to think that Maggy and the girl troubling Jett were both more than likely actually enjoying their Sunday night, their last bit of freedom before school, while he and the other man were looking to drink themselves to a stupor. Well, if that was how it was going to be, he might as well make a very good attempt at it.
“I know exactly what you mean.” he chuckled, but there was more annoyance than amusement in his voice. “The girl bothering me, well, I don’t like her either. At least I think I don’t.” he admitted. “She’s far from my type, not like anyone I’ve ever uh...dated.” Tyler grinned at this, both he and Jett knew what he did couldn’t really be classed as dating. “But, she doesn’t seem interested in me either. Which, I don’t get. I mean, she seemed like she was. Ah, they’re just too confusing. Why can’t they just be more like us, lose all these games.”
It was the Maggy not wanting him bit that got under his skin, at least, as Tyler thought. He was on his best, most charming behaviour with her. And he wasn’t losing his touch, that’s for sure. His fun with Aly the day before only proved that. So, he had no idea why the girl wasn’t currently falling at his feet.
He tried to remember Jett’s sister, recalling a cute, very shy girl. He knew her, or better, of her, only because she was his teammate’s sister. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have a clue who she was. As long as he wasn’t quizzed on her name, he would be right. She clearly wasn’t as smart as she seemed though, if she went out. “Don’t worry about it mate. She’s with friends, I’m sure she be alright. Can’t see them attacking a whole group of young kids after all.”
Finishing his own scotch, Tyler ordered another, and throwing a few sizeable bills on the bar, ordered for his and Jett’s drinks to keep coming. “Let me get the drinks tonight. You’re saving me for drinking myself blind in the corner after all. Now I can drink myself blind at the comfort of the bar. He held up his latest glass. “To women. And all the pain and pleasure they cause us.”

Jett laughed when Tyler talked about dating girls, "Dating right...yeah..same here...this is not the girl I usually date." And by date of course Jett meant sleep with. "She is way too...well...to something...I can't even think of the right word." Jett said as he finished his drink, "Dude I barely understand their need for games, let alone what games they play, but you are right...why do they even need the games. What is so hard about coming right out and saying something. I mean sure I joked around that this girl like me before, but I never thought it was true."
Jett eyed Tyler when he threw money on the table, "Thanks man. You are saving me from having to drink alone. At least now I have someone to commiserate with. To women and the confusion that comes along with them." Jett smirked as he drank. "I know she is with friends, its just....I don't know the friends and its not like I care, but she always has a weird assortment of friends. I don't get it."
Jett just shrugged. That was his sister. She was friends with everyone. Of course she was also naive. He just did not want Izzy to be taken advantage of. Thank god she had never been alone with a guy like Tyler. Jett knew his sister would fall for the charm easily. Then again at least Tyler was a pretty decent guy, "So whats the name of the chick who has you by the balls tonight....mine's is Eden...." Jett could not believe it at all.

His second drink quickly gone, barely a moment passed before a third was being placed right in front of Tyler. The bar staff were efficient at least. Possibly due to the motivation of the wad of notes that was snatched from the bar almost as soon he put them there. Money didn’t matter much to him anyway, not when he had so much of it. What mattered to him now, was getting as drunk as possible and hopefully forgetting about his troubles for the night. And maybe getting laid. He’d noticed a couple of girls eye him, or Jett, or maybe both of them ever since he walked in. Couldn’t hurt giving it a shot. Might be just what he needed.
“I’m sure she’ll be right. Can’t say I know your sister, but she seems smart. So, I’m sure she’s not going to change tonight and do something stupid. Especially with her knowing that you’re worried about her.” He wasn’t really much of a ‘comforter’, and this was bringing down his already down mood. But, Jett was a friend, one of his good ones, and a teammate, so, Tyler was prepared to make an exception in this case.
“Eden, think I might know who you’re talking about. She’s blonde?” He was a lot better at remembering girls than guys. And while he might not always remember the names, if it wasn’t someone he was likely to go for, he usually remembered the face. And the body. “And my girl, she doesn’t have me by the balls, she...well, yeah, she has me by the balls.” he chuckled, the drinks kicking in now.
Tyler hesitated at naming names, but, he figured, in the spirit of bonding and all. “Don’t tell anyone. I mean it. Seriously, if people knew...” He sighed, rubbing his face. “Magdalena Veloz. Maggy. You probably don’t know her. She...well, she’s in the school band.” He realised how that sounded the moment he said it. She was the last person anyone would figure he would go for. And that was why he did, for the fun of it. Until she had to act like she didn’t want him. That was just annoying.
“It’s not like I want her. I mean, I don’t think I do. But, she was all nervous and hung up on me one minute, and the next, she’s completely avoiding me. I don’t get it. But, keep it to yourself.” He downed his third glass, and signalled for another. “This Eden, you like her back?”

Jett was well on his way to getting smashed, "Thank god someone invented cabs, even if they stink. Or drivers. I have one of those too." He used his moms driver all the time. Which was a blessing in disguise. Jett was scanning the room. He already promised himself no blonds for the night. He needed a black haired chick. Someone far from blond. Jett smiled at a few good looking ladies. He eyed Tyler when the guy talked about his sister, "Yeah she is smart and all that. She is a good girl you know....I just don't want some guy taking advantage of her like that.....but if I know my sis she can hold her own." He admitted. His sister could fight back with the best of them.
"Yeah she is blond. Tomboy...loves to surf....pretty cool chick, but takes things too seriously. All I do is try and make her laugh. So I pull a few pranks. No big deal." Jett laughed as he remembered some of the pranks he had pulled. Including the Raine one. It was great. "Maggy...wait is she the exotic girl...Indian or something..." He thought he briefly remembered a girl like that, but he could be wrong. "Man sounds like you got it bad for this chick. I don't mean you like her, but just that she got to you...I hate when that happens...but your secret is safe...hell I probably wont remember her name in the morning." Jett snorted as he got another drink.
"No way...me...like Eden...you are nuts." Jett shook his head and laughed as he continued to protest. "I like her...like you like Maggy...its interesting and intriguing, but in the end I would never date her or anything...she is my best friends sister. I have known her for years...no...no way." However the more he said it the more he wondered what the hell was going on. "I tell you what I say we drop the subject of girls and take these drinks and turn the subject to a much brighter side....like which girl do you claim for the night..."

“Don’t worry Jett.” Tyler laughed, enthusiastically slapping his friend on his back. “I’ll leave your sister well enough alone. Wouldn’t go for a friend’s sister after all.” This wasn’t exactly true, but, if it eased Jett’s mind, it was worth the lie. He wouldn’t go for a mate’s sister, unless the girl in question was gorgeous. But Izzy wasn’t his type, and he wasn’t going to risk getting caught up with another mess on his hands, Maggy was enough work. The whole thing with her was starting to lose its fun. “Besides, you know me, I love women but I’m not one to take advantage.”
Jett had a point, his friend had seen much better days. “The way you’re going, you’ll be lucky to remember my name in the morning.” he smirked lightly, taking another drink himself. “Exotic? Guess you could say that, not Indian though. But, yeah, I don’t like her.” He couldn’t like her. She was Maggy after all. They were total opposites. So, it had to be impossible. There had to be another reason why this thing with her, her lack of interest, was bothering him so much.
The way his friend banged on about Eden made it seem like there was something there. But Tyler wasn’t one to pry, or care too much, especially when a much better way to spend their time was suggested. “Well...” he glanced behind, eyeing their options, then turning back to the bar. “Two ...uh.... cosmopolitans.” he ordered, the first girly drink that came to mind. “And another beer, another scotch. There’s two girls in a corner both. I’ll take the redhead, you can have the brunette.” He pushed two drinks towards Jett as he took two himself, standing up. “Well, let’s go say hello.”
