"I think he's going," whispered Takumi as he peered cautiously over the window ledge. He could just make out the cop standing in the beam of his own patrol car's headlights but rather than leave he seemed to be using his radio. Hopefull he was reporting in that it was all clear at the lighthouse and that he hadn't heard or seen the others downstairs.
Taki released the breath he'd unknowingly been holding, shivering a little when a cold breeze blew over the back of his neck. He threw Izzy a grin. "That tickled," he stated.
"What did?"
The Japanese youth frowned slightly. "Didn't you just touch the back of my neck?" He knew someone had... or was that some*thing*?
Izzy shook her head.
"It must be her," he hissed. "The ghost..." They leaned back against the wall, still in their crouched position, and Takumi fumbled for his flashlight. He'd heard the patrol car drive off and so knew it was safe to switch the torch back on.
Nothing.
He smacked the flashlight gently against his pal. The bulb flickered... and then died.
Inching a little closer to Izzy he held his breath once more... and they waited to see if the long dead woman was about to finally show herself...

Izzy listened to Taki talk. When she said there was a guy with a torrch Izzy's mind went right to the worst case scenario. For some reason an image of buring alive came to mind, but that thought was quickly dismissed when Taki claimed it was a cop. She sighed and felt another wave of relief, "I think this has been the most scariest night of my life. After this I leave the ghost hunting to the professionals." She said quietly. "Although if I get arrested that would be an adventure for me. My mother always thought Jett would be the first one to get arrested." Izzy admitted. Although she would rather not get arrested.
All the sudden Izzy heard a loud thumb and a few minutes passed but and then a loud clank. "If he did not know we were here before he knows now." She swallowed. Although the guard could have caused the noise himself running away, but Izzy had no idea that Thad fell or that Ezzie caused it. She just waited for the cop to come. And she waited and waited. Izzy looked around. "I don't know what I saw tonight, but I think I might need a day to recoup from it. Next time you have an idea I hope it takes place during the day." She gave Taki a kind smile to show she was kidding around.
Izzy sat down and waited. "I admit I never would have done something like this in a million years. Thanks." Izzy brushed some dust off her jeans as she talked quietly. She waited and waited. "No one will believe me when I tell them this. It will be our little group thing. The new Ghost Hunters." Izzy was nervous and scared and when she got like that she talked a lot. "At least we will have something to discuss in school tomorrow."

Roxy laughed the first moment that Thad fell...then as soon as she saw he was actually hurt, her expression changed. She quickly ran down the stairs, "You...Oka--" but she didn't get to finish. It all happened really fast...the man at the door...Ezzie yelling at her to hide....taking Thad with her...to where? Roxy's head had been turned looking for a hiding spot and they were there one moment and gone the next.... Had they actually disappeared or were they just better at hiding that anyone else.
When the man dressed in the guard's uniform busted into the room, Roxy was still standing there, admittedly scared out of her wits. The man looked at her. "You're not supposed to be here! Where are your friends," he demanded, assuming she was not alone.
Roxy stood there stiffly and shook her head. "I...I...came alone," she lied. It was clear that she was in a lot of trouble. There was no getting out of it, but she didn't see any use in bringing the others down with her.
"Is that your car?" the guard asked suspiciously, pointing out the door towards Sidra's car.
"N-no," Roxy said. "It was here when I got here."
The man looked as if he didn't quite believe her. He shone his flashlight around a bit, but deciding no one else was there he turned back to Roxy. "Come along young lady," he said, "this is private property and you're trespassing."
Roxy nodded, and started to follow the man out, giving one last look behind her shoulder, hoping that Ezzie and Thad had somehow witnessed what happened, so the others wouldn't think she disappeared like Fallon. As for the trouble she had undoubtedly gotten herself into, she kind of didn't care. After all, she was really good at sneaking out.
The man shut the door to the lighthouse behind her and locked it up. Roxy just stood there quietly, waiting to see what her fate would be.

After escorting Roxy from Pointe Dume, the officer returned with backup, not believing her when she said she had come alone. They'd run a check on the car parked out front only to find that it belonged to the sister of a boy reported missing earlier that day, and suspicions had been aroused. Perhaps she wasn't with her brother, but then it was far more common for missing children to simply be run aways, not kidnapped, and there was always the possibility that his siblings knew the boy's hideouts.
Flashlights swept the stairway, into every knook and cranny, alighting on Thad and Ezzie, who were huddled together, pale-faced, rumpled and sweaty, trying not to breathe in the hopes that neither ghosts nor police would notice them. No such luck. They were dragged from their hiding spot and outside, where it was confirmed that Thad was indeed the boy reported missing. The police inquired after his sister, and while at first Thad tried to lie and say he didn't know, he was eventually forced to concede that he certainly recognized her car, at which point he changed tactics and very unconvincingly hypothesized that she had come on her own knowing he would be here. "It's my secret hideout, nobody comes 'ere acause of the ghosts." He explained.
Sidra very helpfully chose that moment to appear in the window, pale and fanged, bending over Fallon (in concern, though from all appearances she was a vampire feeding on an innocent girl). The officers, apparently fully believing the story of the hauntings, decided that it was more than their jobs were worth to pursue the apparition, and contented themselves with returning Ezzie, Roxy and Thad to their respective homes.
Sandra and Deborah were furious when it was explained to them what exactly their son had been up to, furious but relieved he had been found alive. They had both been envisioning kidnapping, murder, accidents, all the worst things that could have happened. Run away and snuck into a haunted lighthouse was much less horrible than any of the scenarios they had dreamed up. Of course, the worry meant that he was grounded until the end of time (as his sisters would be as soon as they got home, though at least they weren't being dragged home by grim men in uniforms, though those same men did admit to seeing Si's car. And his mothers were not impressed that they had been scared off by the fleeting glimpse of a vampire, guessing correctly who the vampire was...)
"Awwww, why ya gotta ground me!!!" Thad protested, flinging himself onto his bed, wincing as pain shot up his leg. "It ain't fair!!"
*wrapped for Thad*
OOC: Karen!! SORRY FOR GETTING YOU IN TROUBLE. You can say Ezzie ran off to get help after Roxy was taken, and I'll edit my post accordingly.

"Look! Some of the others are being taken away!" hissed Takumi. He'd forgotten about the ghostly touch against his neck in the excitement of the cop's return. "Looks like Rox...Ezzie. And otousan," he finished with a frown. He'd hoped to keep the ounger kid safe from harm - be that of a supernatural or law-enforcement kind. He'd failed on at least one count and once Thad's parents discovered who had instigated the trip to the lighthouse - namely himself - he'd probably be banned from ever seeing Thad again. He couldn't blame his parents for that, though.
"They've gone again." He shot Izzy a quick glance. "We should also go... In case they come back again." They hadn't exactly seen the ghost but Takumi was sure it had been ghostly fingers that had touched the back of his neck. Izzy had sworn it hadn't been her and he had no reason not to believe her.
"We have to find Sidra and Fallon... otherwise we will be walking back to Santa Monica," he finished with a slightly shaky laugh. Understandable, all things taken into account. He grabbed Izzy's hand again and headed for the doorway that led downstairs. They'd come here for adventure and they'd definitely found it!
