Rye is a tall and bulky man. He use to lift weights and exercises all the time. He is 6'2 and can bench press well over 200 pounds. He loves to show off his muscles unless he is teaching. Then he looks very professional. He has light brown hair and a small goatee on his chin. He liked how it make shim look older then he really is. There is no mistaking him for a student.
Rye has brown eyes and a tattoo around his arm, but no one would ever see it. Not any student any way. He is very professional and would never, ever cross that line.
At school he is seen wearing collared shirts, slacks and nice shoes. Outside of school he is found in a tank top or t-shirt and shorts or jeans with holes in them and tennis shoes.
Personality:
Rye is the goofy guy with the smile. He loves to laugh and have fun. He is a science geek. Sure he was on the football team, but in his spare time he had a chemistry set. Rye can make rockets and he usually does this experiment in his science classes. Its easy to build a rocket. He also loves to mix chemicals and play with gun powder. Some might say he is a bit of a pyro maniac, but its all in good fun. He would never hurt anyone.
Where his younger brother is the classic bad guy, Rye is the classic good guy. He loves to lend a helping hand and listen to his students when they need help. Rye is very protective over Quenten. He does not excuse Quenten's actions but he does try to keep Quenten out of trouble, which is bad because it will get him into trouble a lot.
Rye loves to have a good time. He does not like to drink due to his father having a drinking problem, but he will go out and have a good time. he likes to surf and ride a motor cycle, even if he owners a car. He is currently building a motorcycle from scratch.

Rye grew up in a very unstable home life. His father is a drunk and his mother is the classic battered wife. She always has an excuse ready for her husbands actions. She always dropped the charges and told the police it was her fault. Rye tried to help out as best he could. He would pick his father up off the ground and drag him to bed, he would nurse his mothers wounds and make sure Quenten got ready for school on time. It was hard.
Rye was considered the favorite of the two boys. He was spoiled by the mother for helping out as much as he did. And regardless of how much the father drank he would often praise Rye for a job well done, whether it was good grades in school, getting a job, being on the football team, or simply for just being him, Rye was considered the favorite.
Which was fine except Rye often felt like the parent. No child should ever have to be the parent. He almost did not go to college for fear of how his family would adjust without him, but in the end he ended up going to local university to get his degree in teaching. He is now at Silver as a inter for his teaching degree.
He likes to keep a close eye on his younger brother. He knows all about what happened to Cat and rye feels very sorry for the girl. he has made it his goal to keep Quenten as far away from Cat as he possibly can. Rye has tried to keep Quenten out of trouble over the years. He has often taken the blame plenty of times for Quentens actions, but there is only so much he can do. He loves his brother, but is convinced his brother needs psychological help.

Rye walked into his classroom and put the books down. Today was going to be a fun day. The students would learn how to make gunpowder for the rockets they were building. Sure it was not a safe experiment, but done properly and with the right supervising it would all be okay. Rye loved his job. He could not wait to graduate college and move on to being a full time teacher. The whole reason he picked Silver was to keep an eye on his brother.
Speak of the devil, "Q. Come here?" Rye beckoned as Q passed but the door. Rye did not get it. He tried to get through to his brother and help him, but it was getting to that point. "I saw you talking to the girl in the hall. I am warning you stay away. I mean it. I will kick your ass if you don't."
Rye would never really do it, but still. The threat was there. He did not condone violence. Not after what he saw his mother go through. it just was not his style, but he had no other way of getting through to Quenten. It broke his hear that his brother turned out like this.
