Likes: Nolan likes being around people, even though it may not seem like it. He usually just hangs around, not adding to any conversation much but watching everyone else. He enjoys almost any sport, though football is his favorite. He enjoys the high pressure situations that come with athletics. He also enjoys succeeding, and will usually attempt anything at least once. Along with that, he enjoys the attention that success brings.
Dislikes: Being alone, failing at anything, public speaking.
Other Information: The death of his mother strongly affects Nolan, and he gets very moody and upset whenever anyone brings that up. Also, a big part of the reason he works so hard is to get the attention of his father, whom he feels he barely knows. He feels like his brothers and sister get all the glory.

200 word writing sample:
The package sat on Nolan's bed. He noticed it right away when he entered his room. Excitement took hold and he dropped his bag and rushed to the bed. He barely glanced at the address, knowing it was from Adam. The wrapping was torn into pieces in moments, floating slowly to the bedroom floor. Nolan opened the box and pulled out his prize. A bright red Chiefs home jersey, with his last name on the back. His brother's jersey, or a replica of it, complete with the number 4. Nolan couldn't wait to show all his friends.
A note tumbled from the from the jersey, and Nolan read it over. A challenge: if Nolan could be named the starting quarterback next year, his junior year, Adam would fly him and three friends to Kansas City for the Chiefs opener. Nolan held the jersey up in front of him and looked in the mirror. It looked good, that was for sure. And to have three friends come along? It would be expensive, but Adam's contract was out of control and he had money to throw around. Nolan smiled, a rarity. It would be a lot of work, but he knew he could do it.
