Player Name: Miami
Name: Levi Joseph Rubenstein
Nickname: None
Age: 14
Birthday: 3/3/95
Place of birth: Los Angeles, CA
Grade: Freshman at Silver
Appearance: Levi stand around 5'5”. He has an average build, but hasn't quite grown out of a little bit of baby fat. He's a late bloomer! He has brown eyes and hair. He usually wears glasses, but his eyesight is good enough that he can occasionally go without though he will inevitably get a headache.
Personality: Most people think Levi is shy, but those that know him well know he can be an excitable kid when you get him talking about the things he enjoys. He loves comics, games, movies, books, video games... generally anything dorky. What he enjoys out of those activities are the stories, those he reads or watches and those he creates himself through a game. Role-playing games like Fallout 3 and World of Warcraft are his favorite, especially games that allow him to make his own character (don't get him started on why he hates the Final Fantasy games). He likes to think of himself as an alpha nerd, though the truth is if he feels uncomfortable around anyone he shuts down pretty quick, especially girls.
Town area: Hollywood
Job: He doesn't really have a job per se, but he frequents Secret Lair Comix & Games and has been known to help out on occasion.
Transportation: A 2007 Tomos Streetmate. It's a moped that looks like a small motorcycle. Levi got it as a present for his Bar Mitzvah and it is one of his most precious possessions.
Family background: Levi's parents are divorced. He lives with his mother, Ruth, and his younger sister, Elizabeth, but he still maintains a close relationship with his father Saul. Saul has worked in the movies nearly his whole life, taking whatever jobs he could. He had a short acting stint as the comic neighbor in a sitcom that ran for three seasons before it was canceled, and that led to his involvement in producing movies. Eventually, Saul was able to get a job at Warner Studios, where he has risen to the position of Vice-President of Warner Independent.
Ruth was the daughter of banking magnate David Cohen. She was raised in a life of privilege and married Saul at the age of 20. She currently runs a fashion boutique.
Elizabeth is 12 years old and is already too cool for her older brother. She laughs at his nerdy activities, preferring to emulate celebrities like Miley Cyrus as much as possible. She is spoiled and is already learning that she can make some boys obey her every command. Levi tries to remain a positive influence, but he's secretly afraid his sister is going to become the next Paris Hilton.

Likes: Stories! He loves movies, games, video games, books, and comics of all kinds. He also enjoys playing the trumpet and hanging out with his best friend Denny Gold, though he attends Gould. And girls, specifically his neighbor, Sandy Meyers.
Dislikes: Bad movies, comics, etc... and kids that pick on him just for liking what he does.
Other Information: Levi has had a huge crush on Sandy Meyers since he first saw her next door, but he has never spoken more to her than a timid “Hello.” His only feminine encounter came when a girl kissed him at a bat mitzvah he attended. He didn't know what to do, so he ran into the boys bathroom and hid for the rest of the party.

200 word writing sample:
“It just doesn't work like that in real life,” Levi explained as he flipped through an old issue of “The Amazing Spider-Man.” His friend Denny just sat on Levi's bed, absorbed in an issue of “Spider-Man 2099.” “I mean, Peter Parker's a giant nerd. So a radioactive spider bites him, and makes him strong and junk, but that doesn't make him cool. So why does all of a sudden all these girls like him? And how does he know what to say to them? It's not like it's that easy!”
Denny, barely listening, had learned that if he just mumbled a “Yes,” or an “Mmhmm,” every now and then, Levi wouldn't realize his friend wasn't really paying attention and his rant would inevitably end.
“But out of no where, these girls, like Betty Brant or Gwen Stacy, they're just all about him. Why? Cause he saved them once and had some sort of witty comment. The saving thing, well, that's Spider-Man. He has to. But where the heck does he come up with the witty comment? It's not like he was some grand comedian before the bite. Or was it some radioactive comedian spider that bit him? It's crap!” Levi glanced out his window to notice Sandy Meyers returning home.
He sighed. “And then there's Mary Jane...”
