Colby stirred in bed, dreaming of the night before with a wonderful dinner with his folks and Cat, it was like heaven and two and a half worlds. He felt something warm next to him, his eyes opened slightly and there she was, Cat next to him sleeping soundly. He smiled gently, the poor girl had gone through a lot recently and this was probably the best sleep she had in a long time. He didn't want to wake his sleeping beauty.
He shifted carefully, so he could look at her some more. Through the bruises and the scars, she was still gorgeous as ever. He kissed her on the top of her head and stroked her hair gently. He was indeed a very lucky man.
The serene moment came to an end when Mother Nature decided to make a call. How to get out of bed without bothering her? Colby thought, then had an idea.
He slid one leg over the side of the bed followed by the other and slowly slid down till he was sitting up. He carefully stood up, not wanting to get dizzy. He quietly padded over to where his boxers were and slipped them on.

Catalina stirred and rolled over. She curled around a pillow sleeping peacefully. In her dream she and Colby were getting married. In her dream they had all their friends and family around them, and they could not stop smiling. One day that dream would come true even in her dream like state she knew that for a fact. When she felt her body going a bit cold she woke up and saw Colby was not in the bed anymore.
Sitting up she pushed her dark hair out of her face and kept the cover around her. Noticing right away his boxers were goine she figured he had to a do a guy thing in the morning. She smiled thinking how right it felt to go to bed with him at night, and the waking up in his bed was meant to be.
"Colby" she called out toward the bathroom. "Do you need any help or anything?" She knew he was still recovering so he would have to take it easy for awhile. She was here to help him with anything. Looking over at the mirror over her dresser she was happy to see her hair was not a mess and her bruises were fading. She would still have to use make up for awhile to cover them up the best she could, either way she still looks like a veterian of a war.

Hearing Cat's voice was like a heavenly alarm in the morning. "I'm fine babe." He called back just before taking his morning meds. The bandage around his head was driving him crazy, it itched like mad under it and no way to reach it. He wouldn't forgive Quenten for this.
He finished up in the bathroom and went back into the bedroom where Cat was checking herself in the mirror. "You don't have to check yourself for my sake." He smiled. He went over and wrapped his arms around her. "You are the most beautiful girl in the world." He kissed her gently on the cheeks, and noticed the bruise. She shouldn't had to be hurting like that.
"So we have the day open to ourselves, you have anything you want to do? Anyone you want to go visit?" He wasn't above wanting to spoil her granted she would have to be the one who drove them but it would be worth it just being with her.
As he waited her answer, he slipped into hi black button fly 501's and a form fitting black tshirt, he looked like he could easily land the role of Kenickie in the school production of 'Grease' dressed the way he was.

Catalina smiled at him and leaned into him and kissed him softly on the lips. It still ate her upside he was hurt like this because of her. "I just know sometimes in the morning I look crazy" she laughed. with him she knew she did not have to look perfect and that was the best thing in the world. She could be herself, she did not have to wear make up to cover up the bruises in front of him. "I did not know I looked so banged up till now though" she said and touched her face. "I guess time makes a difference of them popping out" she said and winced, some where still abit sore. "If we leave the house I need to make sure to cover them all up, I don't need the stares on the questions."
"I am for whatever I really do not feel like going anywhere unless you want to" she told him honestly and sweetly. We could relax at home and just watch tv or just even lounge in bed. I am sure your parents would understand if we want to do that, we have a eventful few days" she said. "I dread going back to school after all this to" she gave a sigh and snuggled her face into his chest.
"What if I see him I am not sure what will happen if I see him?I know I am going to freak out" she said to him softly. "And you won't be there to protect me. I feel my safest when I am with you" she said honestly and looked up at him.

"What a pair we make, looks like we survived a car accident." Colby laughed a little. He cringed looking at her bruises, they looked like how he felt. "I'm sure people know what happened by now. Anyone who tries to say otherwise, will be answering to me."
"That sounds good to me, nothing like a lazy Sunday afternoon with the girl I love." He wrapped his arms around her and held her tightly. "If the kids are around we can send them away and have the tv to ourselves."
"I was thinking about that and I didn't want to say anything but after the last attack I think maybe we should look into taking a self defense course. This was if Q ever tries anything you have a more sporting chance." Colby had no idea how Cat would take to the idea but it was worth mentioning. "Its just something to think about, no need to decide right away." He wanted to change schools but he knew his folks would put their foot down at the change. "Lets not think about that right now, instead lets focus on us." He lightly teased her hair. "Lets sit down and make plans for our wedding, even if what we want is just wishful thinking."
