Silver had decided she needed some fresh air. The weekend had been boring. Although she had met Wes and that was the highlight of the weekend but he was probably busy so she didn't want to bother him or anything. It was sad that she had no one to call. Well no one she felt confident enough to call. So Silver decided to do what she always did and that was go to the boardwalk and work on home work.
Silver decided to eat at a pizzeria. She was sitting outside in a corner as he sat with her lap top near a plug. One of those outside plugs you use for an extension cord. Her laptop was plugged in and she had some home work out. She had no life. So she did her work quietly. If someone came along to talk she would put it away, but sadly no one would come. At least thats what she thought.
Silver knew she was her own worst enemy. She needed to break from this whole shyness thing and be a bit more confident. Of course that meant controlling her nerves which was easier said then done. However she felt this need to break from her shell and be more confident. She knew she had made a few steps but nothing big yet. maybe one day she would. As long as she kept taking small steps. Silver looked up scanning te crowd wondering if she would see someone she knew.

Going to church was one thing but today's sermon, "Not living in sin" really drove Xavier crazy. What was wrong with teasing cute girls then tossing them aside like nothing?
When the family got home, the first thing Xavier did was change into a forest green muscle t, knee legenth black shorts and running shoes. One had to presentable for the families at church but after that, it didn't matter.
"I'm heading to the Boardwalk, don't hold dinner for me." He shouted into the house as he headed out the door and to his brand new Cherry Red Mustang. He smirked, his grandfather knew how to spoil him.
He walked around the Boardwalk, eying the scantily clad girls going by making mental notes as he did. One thing did make him stop, a small girl crying because she wanted to win some stupid stuffed toy at some stupid knock the bottles over game.
He took out his wallet and slapped a dollar down for the game, no one made a kid cry intentionally. The zit faced teenager working the game set three balls in front of Xavier.
One ball was thrown, miss.
The second, miss.
Finally the third one was thrown and direct hit! The tower of bottles came down.
"I want that unicorn right there." Xavier pointed to the stuffed toy. The game worked grabbed it and still looked befuddled by how everything happened.
Xavier went over to the crying kid, with animal in tow. "Here you go kid." He said trying not to show a lot of emotion.
The girl looked up, with tear stains on her face. The sad looked turned to ecstacy when she saw the unicorn. "You mean it? For me? Thank you!!" She hugged Xavier and happily took the unicorn.
He could hear her say "It's so fuzzy!" as he walked down the Boardwalk, taking in more sights. One sight did catch his eye at the pizzaria, a cute blond girl.
She looked familiar, possibly from school. There was one way to find out. He approached her. "Hey cutie, anyone sitting here with you?"

Silver had been lost in her book. It was easy when she was alone. When Xavier first came over to talk to her she didn't look up right away. She didn't think anyone would talk to her. But no one spoke back. Silver looked up at him and closed her book. She stared for a moment as she blushed at the how hot he was. Silver was always a mess around guys, but she hoped for one time she would act like someone who was not a babling idiot.
She looked around first and then smiled at him "Oh your talking to me." She giggled. "No...no one is sitting her. Would you like to sit?" Silver asked. She had no idea what possessed her to say that, but she hoped he said yes. "You go to my school. Xavier right." She knew she was right but that was besides the point. "I am Silver." She told him.
Silver hoped he would sit, but if he didn't it was okay. "It would be nice to have some company." She said, another bold move. That might be all the boldness she had in her, but it was worth a shot. She hoped it would work. of course she had no idea what she was getting herself into.
