What had he been thinking?
Had he even *been* thinking?
Felipe wasn't at all sure that last answer was anything but a resounding 'no'. He hadn't been out with anyone since he'd broken up with LizBeth despite having come painfully close to making a total jerk out of himself and asking Abby out. Thank god Jamie had set him straight and he'd been spared that particular mortification! But still... A blind date? He resisted the impulse to facepalm and instead drew in a deep - and ragged - breath before stepping out of his borrowed car.
They weren't here yet. Maybe he could just leave...?
* * *
Christophe smiled tenderly down at Sarissa as she walked out of the house to where he waited by his car. The French youth leaned back against its hood, arms loosely folded. "Are you sre this is such a good idea? I mean, I know your intentions are good but... a blind date? I'm not so sure I would go for one of those myself. What if Felipe doesn't show up?"
He knew, though, they had to go with the assumption he would as them not turning up would be far worse! "And you haven't yet told me who his date is to be. Is she anyone I know?"

"See half the fun of not telling is to make you just as curious. How long have you been wanting to ask me about who it is?" Sari asked. She smiled and leaned up to kiss Christophe. "Don't worry. Felipe will show and he will have fun. I have faith in him and faith in my friend. I am sure of it. Besides if neither has fun then i have a lotof making up to do to both of them." However, Sari was a confident girl. Besides she would not admit she was a bit afraid of how this would turn out. She hoped it was good. "Ready?" She asked." Sari moved to get into the car. "I hope this works. Felipe could use at least one good date and my friend is ready to move on after a break up from the summer. " Sari eyed Christophe, "Yes i am not saying who it is on purpose. I want you to be surprised too." It made this fun and Sari was always playing little games. Sari told Christophe her friend would be driving to the place. So they met Felipe there. Sari got out of the car and looked around, "There he is." She pointed out and waited for Christophe to get out. She held her hand out for his and they walked over together. "Hey looking good." Sari herself was wearing a blue dress with flowers and brown sandals "You nervous?" She asked Felipe. *************** She felt so nervous. How could she let Sarissa convicne to do this. A blind date. Of all things, a blind date with a guy who had graduated with Sarissa. it was nuts. However she got ready. She choose to wear a black dress with black leggings with flowers on them and brown boots, that came right above her ankles, with earrings and a simple necklace. She felt she looked good. The dress hugged her body in all the right places, making hr body look slender, curvey and some what sexy, but not too much. She just wanted to make a good first impression. Then came make up. Not too much. A natural look was better with peach lipgloss. Finally when she was finished she told her mom she was leaving and grabbed the car keys. She was happy she could borrow the car. She drove to the place. When she got out she immediatly spotted Sari but Sari and her boyfriend seemed to either be blocking the blind date or he had not shown. Just her luck, he would not arrive and stand her up. She walked over adnSari spotted her first. Sari smiled. "She's here." She told Felipe and Christophe. "Felipe you may remember Fallon Cotton from school." Sari could not remember if they had met or not. Fallon walked over and smiled. "i like blind dates where I know the person." She said smiling. "Hey, you look good." She told Felipe. "You too Christophe." She said so he would not think she was rude. OOC: like the surprise of who it is? (OOC Definitely! I hadn't guessed at Fallon I admit! ) They arrived at the restaurant (and with Sarissa continuing to refuse to disclose the identity of Felipe's date... much to Christophe's frustrated amusement) and they instantly saw Felipe, pacing the sidewalk at the front of the building. "You nervous?" Sarissa asked and the Brazilian youth nodded. "Very much so," he confided, nodding to Christophe in greeting. "Is it too late for me to..." "Yes," interrupted Sarissa. "She's here." Felipe drew in a deep breath and turned slowly to face... "Fallon!" he exclaimed. The first person he'd spoken to when he'd arrived at school, newly arrived in town. She'd been more than kind to him and he'd never forgotten that. And then again... After the shooting incident. He'd stumbled into her - more or less literally - only to fnd her sobbing. He could still remember how it felt to see her so upset. How he'd thought she'd been hurt. And now she was his blind date? He had to admit Fallon looked as relieved as he felt, telling him she had been equally as anxious about the date idea as he'd been! Christophe watched the short interraction with badly masked amusement. Sarissa had chosen well. He slipped an arm around his girlfriend's shoulders. "Nice one," he whispered. Maybe this evening would go better than any of them had expected. Anyone, that is, except Sarissa. She'd always been positive about it! "You look... wow," Felipe said to Fallon. But hadn't she been dating that other French boy? Felipe, having graduated, had no way of knowing if they were still together. This evening would hint that to not be the case, though. "Shall we head inside?" Christophe suggested.

(OOC: I am glad you like the choice. I wanted to keep you in suspense until the very end)
Sari smiled. "Glad you approve. I knew they knew each other. That was half the fun." Sarissa admitted in a whisper to Christophe. "Was it wrong to enjoy making Felipe wonder who I set him up with." Sari said with a small chuckle as se looked up at Christophe. She leaned up and kissed him. "I am ready to go inside." She told him.
Fallon blushed. "Thank you. I mde the leggings myself." She told him. So hence why they seemed a littl wierd. "I am glad you are my blind date. Sari was mean and didn't tell me who it was. But I am very happy to see it's you Long time no talk. I almost thought you had forgotten about me." Fallon said playfully. She lightly nudged him. "I'm ready if you are." She said. This was maybe her thrid date since her break up with Sebastian and it was by far already starting out much better then the others.
Sari moved inside with Christophe ahead of Fallon and Felipe. The hostess showed them to a booth. Sari and Christophe on one side and Fallon and Felipe on the other side. "I hear there is a magic show tonight. Anyone up for volunterring to be in the show?" Sarissa asked.
Fallon chuckled."How about you." She joked. She opened her menu to look it over. One thing that had not been clarified was who was paying so fallon brought money just in case. "So Felipe, how have you been? Whats college like?"

(OOC: You did a good job LOL!)
"I don't think they look weird at all," Felipe said as he checked out Fallon's legs. Well, leggings but her legs came as part of the overall deal... right? "And forget you?" He threw Fallon a grin. "Impossible. You were the first person to help me when I arrived at school. I could never forget you."
Christophe leaned closer to Sarissa. "Ah... love is in the air," he whispered and she nudged him sharply in his side, unable to hide her own smile.
"I, too, am glad to find out who Sarissa had set up. I admit I was starting to think this was a bad idea but... never have I been more glad I didn't follow my instincts and run for home!" He offered Fallon his arm as they headed inside and after Christophe and Sarissa.
The French boy stood back to let Sarissa slide into the booth before him and he dropped down at her side. "A magic show? I agree with Fallon that you should volunteer," he said to Sarissa with a grin. "Unless you are too scared," he taunted. As long as he doesn't saw you in half. I prefer you to be in the one piece!"
Felipe grinned at the pair opposite before returning his full attention to his date. "College is... very different to high school," he replied. "A lot more freedom to come and go as I like although of course I have to attend the classes. Many more free periods that are supposed to be for study and its a lot larger. If you remember how I struggled to find my way around school you can imagine how mnay times I still manage to lose myself! But what about you? How have you been keeping since I left?" He didn't like to ask if she was still seeing that other boy... mainly because he preferred thinking that was over!

"I remember that. You looked so lost. How could I not help you." Fallon said with a sweet tiny smile. "And I had the same instincts that I fought against. Sari was very tight lipped about this whole thing. I was fairly sure I would show up here and want to kill her for suggesting the blind date. But now I want to thank her for this plesant surprise." Fallon said. She had been so nervous. Her stomach had been jumping since Sari asked Fallon about going on the blind date. Fallon too was glad she did not run home.
"I did good." Sari whispered to Christophe as she slid into the booth. She looked at them as Christophe and Fallon both suggested she be the volunteer. "Great i am sitting here with a bunch of chickens. Fine, I will show you magic shows are harmless." Sarissa said to the group. She leaned over and whispered to Christophe, "but you are right I prefer to be in one piece. it would make out nights much better." She winked.
"I have been good." Fallon said, but then Sari decided to chime in with something before Fallon could continue.
"Did you know Fallon is recently single." Sarissa said.
"That was not subtle." Fallon commented.
"Wasn't meant to be." Sari winked. She was holding Christophe's hand under the table and smiled at him. "What?" She whispered at the look he gave her. "I know what I said." She smirked.
Fallon looked back at Felipe. "I think she is way too happy. But let me clarify I am not recently single. I have been single for almost six months. So I would not say it was recent at all. She is your problem." Fallon said looking at Christophe and then back to Felipe smiling at him.
"I am not a problem...." Sari said.
"Yes you are." It seemed as if the whole table chimed in.
"You better not agree." Sari said joking playfully with Christophe. "You knw they will have dancing before the magic show in case you wanted to dance." Sarissa said looking at Christophe.
" Anyway, I have been good. I had this summer internship in New York. It was so awesome. Such a good learning experience. So I am working on new designs. You should come over and see them. I have actually been considering working on men's clothes, so i could use a guy to help for measurements and stuff." Fallon said with a slight blush.
"Sounds like a second date." Sari said out loud. Fallon of course shot Sari a look and Sari just shrugged, "What? Did I say something wrong." Sarissa said with that innocent but wicked look.
"So I know I am a junior but I am looking into Fashion schools here in LA for when I do graduate. What about you? Have you decided on a major? Last timeI checked you wanted to act right?"

Sarissa's comment about Fallon no longer dating that other boy was pretty blunt and to the point. Enough for Christophe to shoot her a glare. The laughter in his eyes told her he was anything but angry, though. Amused came closer. Could she be any more obvious? Knowing her that answer was a resunding hell yes!
The subject changed from Sarissa being a problem straight to dancing and Christophe was only too happy to be saved from answering! "I'd like that," he replied. Since their first dance up at the reservation they'd been out countless times for more of the same... albeit more often than not non Native American dancing. "And its good it comes before the magic act," he continued. "Ya know... just in case the sawing in half thing goes wrong!"
She nudged him sharply and laughed along with him.
Felipe leaned closer to Fallon. "I'd like that," he replied to her invitation to see some of her designs. The idea of being used as a model of sorts held a distinctly high appeal as well!
"Sounds like a second date," commented Sarissa and three pairs of eyes bored in her direction. Sarissa wasn't in the least abashed, though, it seemed.
"You need to work on that innocent look," whispered Christophe with a broad grin. She was truly incorrigable!
Felipe nodded slightly. "I am taking a drama course as well as a secondary course in phys. ed. nI mean I am still not sure whether to pursue a career in football. Aah... soccer, that is. And then there is my passion for fencing." He lifted his shoulders in a wry shrug. "I just can't decide but at the moment I am focussing on drama. In fact... " He hesitated. "... Do you like Shakespeare? There is a showing of The Taming of the Shrew at the Bruns Amphitheater in Orinda. We could make it into a proper trip and even stay overnight... I mean... ya know... our own rooms, of course!"
Christophe snorted a laugh and turned it (badly) into a cough.

"What innocent look?" Sari asked playfully. "You mean the one you fall for every time I want something. I can at least try the innocent look right now." She smiled as she sipped her drink. "I think I like you being the innocent one." She said as she moved her hand up and down Christophe's thigh briefly. "But I believe that is going well." Sari said in a whisper. She was definitely smiling on the inside.
The waitress came over and took the order for the four of them. Fallon handed her menu over as she turned her attention back to Felipe who had jusr asked her out on an over night trip. Needless to say she blushed. "Actually I would like that. I love Shakespeare. And we don't have to get two separate rooms. I trust us to share one room." Fallon might not realize what could happen if a guy and girl spent the night together, but she did trust Felipe.
Sari looked at Christophe as he laughed slashed coughed, "Now you are not subtle." Sari said giving him a look."Care to dance?" She asked Christophe.
"If you want maybe sometime you could teach me soccer and fencing. I mean that way you can practice and I can learn more about soccer and fencing. I would love to see you act." Fallon said. "So if you ever nee help practicing lines, give me a call." Fallon siad with a smile. "I have a feeling we may be seeing a lot of each other with all these plans." She could not help the excited tone she had. "Want to follow their lead and dance?"

“I would love to dance,” replied Christophe and he stood, offering a hand down to Sarissa. He winked at Fallon before escorting his girlfriend onto the floor. “My lucky night,” he said with a half smile as a gentle and slow tune began to play. He slid his arms around Sari and drew her close to his chest. Who would have thought that a few months ago he was pining away, believing her to be with Tyler... Life was good at throwing curve balls and them getting together like that definitely classed as one of those!
“They seem to be getting on ok,” he commented against her hair. He hoped so anyway, as Christophe knew they were both stinging from not so great break-ups. He wanted this to work out... even if that DID mean enduring Sarissa’s endless ‘I told you so’s’!
Felipe smiled back at Fallon. Why hadn’t they gone out before? The time hadn’t been right, at a guess. “I will look into tickets and the hotel,” he said. “And if you are sure about learning some fencing moves then I’d love to teach you. And football,” he added. “As for my lines... Thank you... I am always in need of someone to help me with that! Everyone else in drama class has their regular partners and my mother doesn’t always have time. No way would I even bother asking my sister!” he said with a laugh. Ana Isabel helping him with *any*thing? Hell would have to freeze over first!
“Yeah, it does sound like we shall be seeing each other a lot.” He paused and tilted his head to the left. “Pity that,” he added with a grin.
The offer of a dance was just as welcome and they headed out onto the dance floor to join in. It felt awkward for a few seconds, holding Fallon as close as he was but they both quickly relaxed into the music. “We should have done this earlier, he stated.
“Dance?”
Felipe looked down at Fallon. “No... Dated.”

"You are lucky, because you are with the greatest girl in the world. Just say yes." Sarissa said as she laughed at the look Christophe was giving her, but he has to know that yes she was cinfident in herself, but when she said that she was okl joking around. "I agree, I am one heck of a matchmaker." Sari said smiling. She was happy. "I admit I was a little scared." She said.
Sari wasn't truly sure how the blind date would have gone. She knew both Fallon and Felipe, but blind dates could be unpredictible and the night was not over, but just from the looks of it, it seemed as if Fallon and Felipe were doing great, which was a huge relief. "So since they are distracted, where were we..." Sari spoke softly as her body swayed to the slow song in Christophe's arm. She leaned in to kiss him for a few moments, "How have you been?" She asked. It was Christophe's turn to have a little attention on him.
"Yes I am interested in fencing. All I know is the armor you wear and I am not even sure armor is the right word." She commented. "And soccer. I have always loved soccer, or Futbol as you call it."
When he brought yp helping with his lines Fallon laughed. "Its fine. I am always willing to help. Especially since you are going to endure the pain of being my model, its the least I can do to repat you for what I am about to ut you through." Fallon gave Felipe a serious look, but she could not hold it long. She ended up busting out laughing at the look on Felipe's face. She could not help but mess with him. "Sorry I could not resist."
Fallon smiled up at Felipe as they danced. "I agree." She said in reference to the date part. "I guess other people got in the way." Fallon leaned up a little to kiss Felipe. Just a soft quick kiss. Which proved to be very nice. "Its a good thing there is nothing in our way now."
