With her blonde hair pulled into a loose ponytail, Lily stepped out into the sun. It was Sunday morning and she had to get to her yoga class. Lily wasn't so fond of yoga. They had to twist themselves into the strangest positions and Lily often had to hold back giggles due to some of the names they gave them and just how seriously everyone took it, but she'd managed not to make a fool of herself yet. Yoga had been one of her trainers ideas. It was good for flexibility and stretching out muscles so Lily had started it up about a month ago when she'd returned to the states after spending the summer snowboarding in the alps. Lily was a professional snowboarder so the sport often dictated her life. She'd already metaled in the x-games as well as a number of less publicized competitions but this year that was not her main focus. While she'd still be competing in them, she was more concentrated on the Olympics. The 2010 Winter Olympics were a little over a year in Vancouver and while Lily was already on the US Snowboarding team, there was no guarantee she'd make the Olympic team which only consisted for 4 girls. Sure, it was expected that Lily would make it, most likely being the youngest on the team, however there was always the chance she'd mess up in the trials and not be able to go on. So she had to keep her wits about her and really concentrate hard. She was dressed in a pair of navy LuLu Lemon yoga pants and a zip up hoodie that covered most of her white tank top and she wished she'd thought to bring sunglasses as she walked toward where her class was. Lily couldn't drive yet. She'd turned 16 and she had her permit but she hadn't had enough time to practice her driving much. Still, she was signed up to take her drivers test in a weeks time and she hoped she was ready. But for now she was resigned to walking since she didn't have an adult to drive with her and her parents were strict about that rule. She continued down the street, squinting her eyes from the bright sun with her yoga mat in hand. It wasn't long before she reached the small shopping center where her yoga class was, thankful that the center also contained a Starbucks. Knowing she was early for her class, she headed inside the coffee place and got in line, eager to get a iced latte before class started. She ordered and waited for it, however when the barista handed it off onto the counter, someone else grabbed it, even though the plastic cup clearly had the name Lily written on it in black marker. "Umm...excuse me, that's mine," she said in a quiet voice, so quiet that it was almost inaudible. Tags

Yesterday had been somewhat uneventful after the run in with a 'student' from GSH and Abby found herself staying on the beach the whole day, sunbathing, getting in the water and then sunbathing again, and then getting something to eat, spending time at the carnival and then back home. She didn't bump into anyone else, she kept on thinking about Diego and especially Felipe and how he was doing with the whole "not having Liz as his girlfriend and it was her fault that he doesn't have a girlfriend now" thing. It was, to say the least, her most depressing day ever. She even thought of using again but thankfully the carnival rides helped with that. Especially the rollercoaster. And now it was a Sunday morning and having gone to church earlier, Abby went straight to the mall as always to get her usual fix of coffee at Starbucks. Her outfit was mellow today and none of it was her own design. It probably didn't even look good on her but that was how messed up she was feeling then. Of course, she didn't deny she could have at least paid some attention to her wardrobe. But as it were, she was a little strung out, especially after the sermon at church where the priest had talked about temptation. Talk about mind blowing. After ordering from the guy behind the counter, Abby waited, not realising there was a person in front of her. So deep was Abby in her thoughts that she didn't even notice the name on the cup when she took it, not even registering that she hadn't even asked for an iced beverage. That is until the person beside her piped in, telling her that it wasn't her cup. Blinking, Abby looked up to see a girl she knew was from school. She had been involved with one of the boys who thought he was all that. A poor Tyler Durnham impersonator. "Sorry," Abby spoke when she finally snapped out of her daydream only to realise that a minute had passed since anyone said anything. She handed the iced beverage back to the blonde. "I'm sorry. I've been out of -- Thank you -- out of it." Abby paused only to thank the barista who handed her the paper cup that held her coffee. "You're from Gould Silver, right? The school really needs a change of name. It's a mouthful." Abby commented before she took a sip of her coffee, handing the guy behind the counter a handful of notes. "Keep the change."

"Um...its okay," Lily said timidly as she took her drink into her hand. Really she felt silly about the whole thing, her cheeks even flushing a bit even though the whole matter wasn't even remotely her fault. But Lily was like that. While she'd learned to be a little more confident - begrudgingly through Haden, who she'd now resolved herself to despise (okay, she still liked him very much, but it was easy to turn that into anger and dislike now that they were no longer together and Lily thought very much that it most likely wasn't her fault. Okay, a small part of her thought maybe she should have given him his way and they'd still be together but the most of her found it easy to bury those thoughts. Still, he had helped her confidence though it still wavered, like at the present.
The brunette actually seemed somewhat familiar though Lily's mind was so out of sorts that she didn't place her until she asked her about school. "Uh...yeah," Lily said with a nod as she took a sip of her iced latte. Just the pick me up she needed. "I do. You do too, don't you?" she asked. She was certain now that she'd seen her around, even this year, not putting together that the older girl was now staff rather than a student.
"The name is rather long," she agreed with another latte sip. "but I suppose they didn't want to just pick one," she said with a shrug, now feeling vaguely more at ease that the drink stealing incident was over. "I'm Lily by the way," she said.

Sandy was rather surprised she actually landed the role of the Mother in the community theater production of 'The Best Christmas Pageant Ever'. Everyone in the show was in 12th grade or under so it was all kids and no adults. The director had an idea of setting the story in the 50's so there was the added challenge of getting the look just right. There would be time for that later, for now, being Sunday morning it was time for cocoa instead of coffee.
She stopped by the nearest Starbucks to the theater to get her chocolate fix, at least for the morning. The place wasn't too crowded but it was decent sized. She saw a couple girls that she semi knew from school, at least she wouldn't be there alone.
She placed her order which was up in a short time. She smiled as she came to the counter where the other two were. "Excuse me, I just need to get my drink."

Smiling lightly at the younger girl's kind and shy response, Abby stepped aside from the counter as the blonde asked her in return of her own place in the school. "Uh...yeah I go there...ish." She chuckled, sipping her hot beverage. "I'm a coach's assistant. For the cheerleading squad." Abby took the time to examine the girl's physique which looked to be quite toned. A perfect flyer if she ever saw one.
Abby was distracted from her train of thought when Lily spoke of the school. "They could have at least come up with a better name. Something that didn't scream loserville." She shrugged before giving the girl a smile as she introduced herself. "Nice to meet you Lily, I'm Abby." Had it been a year ago, this wouldn't have happened. Sure she would have been nice but not willingly. Especially not to a girl younger like her.
Just as she was about to ask Lily about joining the squad, a petite redhead came over with a big smile. Abby moved away before recognising the girl as Gregory Meyers little sister. And she only knew that because someone had mentioned that Gregory was in an acclaimed teen soap. "Fancy running into you two here." Abby said with a smile. "Where are you two headed?" Abby was glad for the distraction from her previous plight.

"Oh..." Lily said feeling kind of silly when Abby informed her that she wasn't a student but a coach at the school. Lily had swore she was a student last year but now she was assuming that they girl had always been a coach and was probably much older than she looked. Still, she seemed friendly and Lily smiled when she introduced herself. "Well, it's nice to officially meet you," she said to the taller brunette.
Lily had no idea what-so-ever that the older girls was considering recruiting her for the squad and Lily had no reason to think it. She had never even had a second thought about the sport and she didn't think anyone involved had ever had a second thought about her.
As the redhead reached in to grab her drink, Lily thought nothing of it. She could only see the back of her head so she didn't realize that she might also be someone from school until Abby said something to her and then asked where they were both headed as if they were together.
It was now that Lily got a glimpse of her and realized at once who she was. Sandy something..she'd been in the play. "Oh, um, hi," Lily said with a smile giving the younger girl a little wave. She wasn't sure if Sandy would even recognize her as she missed so much school in the winter and blended into the background so well that it seemed that lots of people didn't. However, it seemed that since dating Haden last year she now had a bit of a higher profile with people actually recognizing her and knowing who she was, even if they weren't sure about her name.
"Oh, I was headed off to a yoga class," she said pushing a stray hair behind her ear. She felt sort of silly admitting that as she didn't want to be thought of as one of those holistic people who were obsessed with yoga and raw foods. But the yoga was a must according to her coaches...better flexibility meant better snowboarding and really, for Lily that was the end game.
