It was morning and Kayla felt awful. All she could think about was what had happened the previous night with Sloane. She'd wanted to cry as she'd gotten out of the car and she was pretty sure it had been obvious even though she'd tried to hide it. Still, she'd left her car wordlessly and hadn't said a word to her parents once she'd gotten inside. She'd basically went straight to bed hoping that it was all some bad dream only to wake up and realize it had all been real.
Kayla knew she had to apologize but she didn't have Sloane's number. Thankfully she still had her call sheet with all the member's of the track team's numbers on them so they could all keep in touch in case something came up regarding the team.
Kayla took a deep breath as she typed Sloane's number in her phone and typed out a message:
Hi Sloane-it's Kayla. Got your # off the track call sheet-hope its okay. Anyway just wanted to apologize for last night. I've never done anything like that with a girl before and sort of freaked out. It's okay if you don't want to talk to me or whatever but I just needed to apologize. I hope we can just forget about it? Friends??
She hit send, but she had no clue if Sloane would respond or ever talk to her again for that matter...
Tag or no tag, up to you

The vibrations from Sloane's cell against the top of her bedside table woke the redhead up. Opening her large blue eyes, her vision was filled with the familiar back of the boy she had spent the night with in her own bed. The sun was pouring into her room and she realised she had a text to answer. She wondered who it could be.
The last person she thought would be texting her left a message that made Sloane read it twice. Rubbing her eyes, Sloane slid up so she was resting against her headboard, her hand clutching the sheets up to her bare body. The rustle made the boy next to her move but not wake up. Closing her mouth to the yawn that tried to escape, Sloane pulled up the other hand to read the message.
An apology over text? Sloane chuckled before hitting the reply button.
"Hey, no harm done. I'm sorry I was presumptuous to think that you wanted it as well as I did. I should have asked if you were okay with it. Just chill, we can be friends if you want."
After hitting send, she slid her phone on her bedside table, ignoring the fact that Kayla had kissed Sloane back a long time before she pushed away. It didn't matter now. Not much anyway. Slipping the boy's arms over her, Sloane went back to sleep.
