Noah was still dressed in his football gear, as people congratulated him. It seemed that since they'd won the game everyone was making a big deal of Nolan, who was the quarter back, and himself. After all, Noah had made 2 of the teams touchdowns as well as a number of other good plays during the night. Plus, being the new kid, everyone seemed to be pretty excited. But still, Noah had never quite been comfortable with the attention football gave him and he wasn't sure that that was supposed to magically change just because he was new and helped win a game and his dad was the coach. He caught his dad's eye from across the field and his dad gave him a proud nod, but Noah just headed toward the locker rooms, hoping to get away from the chaos. "Noah Conway!" someone called. There was a lot of noise and commotion about the crowd so it was impossible to recognize a voice. Still, Noah turned to see who it was, wondering if it was someone he actually knew or just someone who knew who he was. After all, he might be a new kid but it seemed that especially after tonight, everyone knew his name. Tags Any

Reagan wasn't usually the first person you would find at a football game but she had decided that afternoon after feeding into the hype she would go tonight. Her brother was running around somewhere and she had sat by herself through the entire game, but enjoyed it none the less. The chaos and yelling was sort of calming to her compared to the turmoil she called life at home. Pulling herself up from the bleachers after the final quarter she started her search for Gavin getting caught behind a few of the football players headed into the locker room.
Gavin yelled her name from across the parking lot and informed her he had talked to their mom and was going home with a friend before jumping into a car and taking off. Reagan turned around to find her way out of the stadium when she saw something drop out of one of the players helmets. She debated whether or not to bother picking it up but her guilty side got the best of her knowing she would feel horrible otherwise. As she got up to it and saw it was a mouthpiece she had second thoughts. Gross, she thought. Still picking it up with the very ends of her fingers she gave it an awkward look before trying to catch up with the guy who had dropped it. She wasn' t having much luck catching him as he got to the locker room doors. She fought with herself to remember what the players name was for the life of her before he went inside. Just as he opened the door it flooded into her mind and she yelled out his name hoping he heard her. As he stopped and turned around she walked towards him holding out the mouthpiece .
" I think you dropped this?" she asked him feeling more then weird about the situation she was currently in. She wasn't the type of person to approach people but she wasn't the type to just let them walk away after dropping something either. Of all things though he had to drop a mouthpiece, not a phone, or a wallet.

Noah blinked as he registered the blonde walking toward him. His first thought was that she was pretty, not that that was anything new. Noah always seemed to have pretty girls coming after him. He wasn't arrogant about it or anything, it just sort of came with the territory of winning lots of games. But his next thought was that she didn't seem like the usual type. Usually it was a girl in a cheerleading uniform or something who was super bubbly and outgoing. This was a bit different... "Yeah did you..." he started trailing off before he got to the part about wanting something.
It was then he realized why she'd called after him. There in her hand was his mouth piece. Ew. He quickly glanced around his things, realizing he was indeed missing a mouth guard. His cheeks were already flushed from all the running around and excitement of the game but they perhaps grew little pinker as he reached out and took it from her, holding it by the very tips of his fingers much as she'd been doing. Sure it was his, but it still had been in his mouth and he didn't really want to stick his entire hand around it.
"Um...thanks," he said, a little awkwardly, "um...you know, next time someone drops a mouth piece...you can probably just leave it...I'm sure its not a big deal to get a new one..." he said. He wasn't really trying to embarrass her, truth was, he was feeling just as awkward as she was. People always expected him to be really smooth and stuff, but the truth was, he wasn't. He was quiet and kept to himself, socializing more because he was supposed to than wanted to. No, he didn't want to be completely anti-social but a lot of times all the parties and giant crowds of people at football games were a bit much. Noah was much more comfortable in a smaller, more intimate group.
"Thanks though," he said, still feeling painstakingly awkward.

Casper had been to the game, it wasn't really his thing but he had decided to show some school unity. He was heading back to the locker room to see whether any of the guys were up to something. Most of them he knew from other teams he was on, maybe some of them wanted to play some pool or head down to the beach and celebrate the game properly.
He saw the guy who had been one of the stars of the game talking to some girl he didn't recognize not that he really cared who the girl was. He approached the two of them, yes it was definitely the new kid.
"You played a pretty good game tonight." Casper said to him. "Hi." He said to the girl iin way of greeting. "I am Casper, it isn't really my sport I prefer proper football or rugby, but I don't mind watching a good game which this was." Casper said to him.

Reagan stopped short of him letting him close the gap between them and take the mouth guard from her hand. She wiped her hand on her pants, not that there was anything on it but just precautionary. She didn't really know who the guy was other then hearing his name across the stadium on the loudspeaker as he scored. The only reason she recognized him at all was just the number on his jersey.
" I could have left it there but then I would have guilt tripped myself over a mouth guard all night for not at least telling you that you dropped it. A little bit of spit was a small price to pay. " she said honestly as she saw another guy approach them. He was a bit taller then her and looked like he could have been one of the players as well but that theory was bashed as he introduced himself.
" I guess I am Reagan then. " she said kind of out of sorts as she looked between the two. Casper she noticed had quite the accent though she couldn't pin it, and coupled with his preference to rugby she was sure he wasn't from the area, or the continent for that matter.

Noah nodded as the girl explained herself. She seemed a little shy which he sort of appreciated since he was that way too. "I guess I know what you mean," he said. "Thanks again," he told her, now thanking her a third time. He probably sounded like an idiot...some dumb jock that didn't have a grasp on the English language. Noah of course was anything but, he was actually an avid reader and could be quite loquacious at times, but his shyness sometimes prevented him from speaking like a normal person until he got to know people better.
And before he could really say much else a tall guy with a thick accent came over and complimented him for his performance in the game but quickly added that he preferred soccer (which Noah translated from his use of the term proper football) or rugby. Okay...was that a compliment or a dis? Or maybe it was just a general statement, but Noah wasn't really sure.
"Does the school even have a rugby team?" Noah asked, once again probably coming off as a dumb jock as the boy, Casper, introduced himself, seemingly making his play for the girl (so Noah assumed) who turned out to be named Reagan.
"I'm Noah," he said although he supposed they already knew that given that they both just watched the game. "It's good to meet you both..." he said, "were you like looking for someone?" he asked the boy, "I can get someone from the locker room for you if one of your friends is in there..." While it was technically a boys locker room, only the team was supposed to use it during the games, however Noah knew that a lot of the guys had been talking about parties before they won so now that they had, Noah was sure he'd be dragged out to something and it was unsurprising to him that some of the guys who weren't on the team might want to meet up with friends that were on the team to start making their plans for the rest of the evening.

Casper smiled, "No sadly they don't Rugby is lost on the heathen." Casper said to him. "If this was South Africa it would be a requirement at a school that the boys play rugby, kind of like the same way it is for the Americans who play Football here." Casper said to him. "I like football enough to watch it, but like I said I prefer soccer or rugby." Casper explained.
"Actually I was just going back to see whether any of the guys wanted to hit a pool house or maybe the beach grab a few beers along the way. Its a good night for a party on the beach." Casper said to him. "I'm on the team with a few of these guys, plus boredom in a secure house with more security than a normal person would know what to do with." Casper said to him. "Plus new guy on the block with the coach as a father, I thought I would come introduce myself." Casper said to him. "I'm guessing I am going to see a lot of you in the gym." Casper said to him.
His attention returned to the girl with a blushh on his cheeks, "I apologise for my tardiness, it is a pleasure to meet you Reagan." Casper added.

Reagan stood to the side as the two exchanged a few sentences. The part of her that was overly school involved wanted to let out a small laugh when Noah asked if there was a rugby team, but the more quiet introverted side of her kept from doing so. Even she knew they didn't have a rugby team. Now the South Africa comment, that explained the origin of the accident she heard in Casper's words.
Between the two though she felt small. Not in size but in social status. Noah the new star football player and Casper who was jockish she supposed if he was into rugby, and if he had security stationed outside his house in large numbers he was probably someone of some notable status as well. Both more then just regular in the looks department. Reagan was, well just Reagan. Bookworm, nerd, someone that was more then just a step or two lower in the social hierarchy then those she stood between.
" No. That's okay. " she told Casper with a soft smile as he apologized for his tardiness as he called it. " It is a gorgeous night though and I am sure the beach would be perfect for your party. S0o0o , " she said trailing off feeling the awkwardness of the situation hit her a bit harder as she looked around the area in which they stood like it would give her some conversational inspiration. " since that is an all boys locker room , I am a girl, and a girl who isn't really a partier at that it doesn't benefit me to really follow you in your pursuit of party plans. If you want to take care of that I can say my goodbyes? "

Noah blinked at Caleb when he said that rugby was lost on the heathens. Did he seriously just call him a heathen to his face? If Noah had been more of a confrontational guy, he probably would have called him out on his rudeness, but Noah was very much a turn the other cheek kind of guy. So he just nodded and didn't say anything, not wanting to to cause what he saw to be an unnecessarily conflict.
"Yeah, I'm sure there is something going on," Noah said. "I just don't know what yet," he told him with a nod. He definitely understood what Reagan meant when she said she wasn't much of a partyier. He wasn't either. He usually went to them but he was usually more dragged out. Well, maybe that wasn't completely fair. He did usually have fun, but he usually didn't plan of them or go on initiate the get together's or anything.
"You know, I don't consider myself much of a party person either," he remarked to her, "but sometimes its fun. Like I said, I have no idea what the guys are planning on, but you're invited to whatever we do, everyone is," he told her. Noah was a very inclusive guy. He didn't buy into all that popularity crap about some people being better to hang out with than others. After all, maybe he'd sort of always hung out with the popular kids because they were usually his teammate, but he'd never really felt like one of them, at least not the popular part of it. He especially liked it when everyone was included because he tended to feel bad when anyone seemed to be left out.
"I do need to change first though," he said, motioning to the fact that he still had his football pads on.

Casper grinned at her, "I just need to get Felix to run interference with my father and I am good to go." Casper admitted taking out his phone he sent a text not fancying the chat that would ensue if he made the call. Casper looked at the other boy wondering whether he was going to let slip the comment he had made. English was a first language to him so would the boy assume it wasn't. It really wasn't a slur on the boy so much as the fact that one of his favourite sports was lost on the country he lived in.
"Definitely to good a night to spend cooped up in a house with just a television and a playstation or xbox for company." Casper said to them. "I suppose I could put more time in the gym." Casper added.
"The faster you get in their and pass the word around the sooner this can get started." he said to him with a smile. "You could do with a shower to." he thought but didn't say. The guy had been on the pitch throughout the game BO was not a good smell on anyone he thought.
