Haley wasglad the team has won. She felt the thrill from it likemost of the other girls. It was games like this that Haley lovedto cheer for. The game had been close for a while, but the team won in the end which was great. Now there was a reason to celebrate and it was a good start for the weekend. Haley left in her cheer uniform. She did not shower in the lockerroom nor change. After every game Haley would go home to change and shower, and then have her father send her uniform to be dry cleaned to keep it looking nice.
Haley stuck arounf and chatted for a bit with the other girls and some of the team members. She flirted with a few football players. Haley finally decided to leave when she found out where the after party would be. She had been personally invited by someone on the football team. So of course Haley would show. She would look good too. Like she always did.
Haley headed out to her car. It was dark, nothing new. The school parking lot was well lit so Haley was not worried. She got to her car and pulled out her keys. Which she dropped of course. Haley bent down to pick the keys up, but as she stood back up her back hit someone. Now maybe she hit someonesback or hit their front, either way she had bumped into someone so Haley turned around to apologize. "Sorry."

Addison felt amazing as she headed towards the parking lot after the game. The thrill of being back on the sidelines had her adrenaline rushing. She hadn't realized in between the moving and new school how much she had actually missed it. It took her a long time to decide whether to try out over the summer, she wasn't sure that she would fit in, or it would be the same type of dynamic as her last squad. She thought maybe she should focus on school, but she was the happiest she had been since the move now that season had begun again.
Throwing open her passenger side door Addison was careful not to hit the car beside her as she dropped her cheer bag into the floorboard of the backseat and shut it again. As she backed up to go around the car to the drivers seat she bumped into someone not even realizing anyone had walked up behind her and she quickly turned around spitting out an apology at nearly the same time as the girl behind her.
Taking a look she realized it was another one of the girls from the squad. She wasn't quite sure of her name, Hannah, Harper, Haley, something with an H if memory served her correctly. Addison though hadn't really socialized with many of the girls yet so she couldn't be too sure of herself and decided to not use a name instead.
" Hey. " she said trying to sound friendly in a I know you sort of way although she really didn't. " That was probably my fault. I know we cheer together but we haven't really met yet. Addison. " she said hoping that the girl didn't spit on her face or something and come back with some hateful words. She had heard some of the girls were quite nasty, but the fact that she had been the first to apologize gave her hope.

"Yeah, your new to the squad. Nice to meet you. I am Haley." Haley offered her hand to shake the other girls hand. Haley knew the girls on the squad although she didn't talk with all of them. Especially new girls like Shelby and Addison. Haley was not ignoring those girls on purpose she just never had a chance to chat cause as an older girl on the squad, meaning since she was a senior she had been busy helping the other senior cheerleaders arrange the practice schedule and various fundraisers and events the cheerleaders would do and stuff to help school spirit. Mainly it was working on the pep rally's.
However, it was only the first week so...either way she was glad to have bumped into Addison, cause she did want to get to know the girl since she was new. "Welcome to the squad, enjoying it so far. This is just the beginning. Just wait till pep rally comes and fundraisers. Sometimes the cheerleaders throw impromptu sleepovers one weekend." Haley told her. She smiled. "Sorry again for bumping into you. I had dropped my keys." Haley had also not looked behind her when she backed up.
"Where you headed? Going to the party?" She asked. She assumed everyone by now had heard. A few of the guys on the team had not exactly been quiet about it. Haley opened her car door and threw her bag inside as she closed it again and leaned against her car door.

Haley! Addison thought, she knew she had been close but not that close. Haley seemed more then friendly and any apprehension Addison had suddenly left her as she asked about how cheering had been going for her so far. The idea of girl bonding and sleepovers wasn't something she was used to but something she could try she supposed.
" It has been great. I forgot how much I missed it honestly." There was part of her that missed the freedom of not being required to be anywhere but not nearly as much as the rush of a football game. The yelling from the stands, the horrible concession food, it was part of the high school experience.
" I honestly didn't even know there was a party. " she wasn't exactly miss popular yet among the girls, players, or school yet for that matter. She had met a few friends but she spent a semi quiet summer to herself and just exploring the city. " I had thought about maybe grabbing a bite to eat and heading home to watch a movie or something. " she said passing her keys between her hands and fiddling with them for a second. " I suppose it is a Friday after a football game and there are probably several parties around. Do most of the girls go out after the games?" she asked curiously. She knew it was kinda the thing to do where she was from. She had attended a few parties in her day but wasn't really an every weekend kinda girl.

"I only just heard about the party. Its sort of a tradition. If we win the game then one of the members claims party rights and everyone heads over to that players house for a party." At least thats how it worked at Silver. Thats how it was working now. The player who claimed party rights had been from Gould she assumed, but now they were all Silver and Gould so it didn't matter.
"Not all the girls go. Its more a choice. The parties can get kind of wild depending on how much people drink. I do not go to everyone. I was considering it since its the first win." Haley admitted. That and she was ina self pity mood cause of the whole Cam thing. It still bugged her. She had called several times, but her calls had never been returned. She had stopped back in September. Thats when she went back to her crazy life so to speak.
"As for the girls going out after the game it is a usual thing. I mean not together. But most girls talk about doing somethig to celebrate, whether its going to the party, or out with a significant other or other girls from the team. I mean its what your comfortable with. Most likely neext week we will have a meeting and discuss various things we can do together to bond."

Addison figured the whole claiming rights to the party was probably just based on who evers parents weren't home that week. Then that person would probably be the first to speak up. She couldn't imagine there being too many parents who would agree to that type of liability in their home because putting alcohol in the hands of any teenager can turn out disastrous.
" Sounds fun. I won't have a whole lot of input since I don't really know the area, but I will have to think on it. " she was sure she could think up ideas but usually when you knew the area pretty well you could suggest something more specific. In time she would, she was slowly working on getting to know the area, starting closer to home and working her way in an outward pattern if you were to look at a map.
" Tradition is tradition. I guess first win of the season it would probably be a good idea to at least make an appearance for a bit at the party. " she hadn't changed out of her uniform because she was just going to go home but she supposed she could either stop off their first and take a quick shower and change or worse case scenario she had her clothes she had worn before the game in her bag. She didn't have to drink if she decided not to but it would be a good place to meet some more people , get herself a little more well known.

"That would be great. Its a party so no doubt there will be someone embaressing themselves right away and sometimes thats wourth showing up for. I know that sounds mean, but most of the guys do it just cause it gets them noticed." She meant that honestly. Some of the guys did embaressing crap cause it got them noticed and it was quite funny so apparently it worked.
"I need to go home and change first. I do not shower in the locker room. I do not trust those showers at all." Germs and all that she prefered the comfort of her own home. And again her father was nice to send her uniform out for dry cleaning which was nice. "What about you...I assume youare not going to wear your uniform to the party either? If you do thats cool. You wouldn't be the only one."
This was not a fancy party or anything. it was a parents are out of town and we just won a game kind of party. Those wefun. Haley had been to a few of them. it wasa great way to get to know people too. Of course it was illegal with the alcohol. But that was besides the point. As a teen sometimes you had the whole you feel invincible thing. "We can go together. I can pick you up when you are ready?" Haley suggested. Then she would have an excuse to be sober. Yes, Haley was aware it was sad she needed an excuse to be sober.
