Alone.
Abandoned.
Judd was feeling like that since Melodee was now gone off to college and he was held back in high school. He was hating every minute of it only because he heard the whispers and giggles of people.
The name calling, the bullying, it didn't let up. Senior year, no matter how many times, was supposed to be the best time and yet it was hell all over again.
He trudged down the hall, trying to get to his first class when some one plowed into him without so much as an "excuse me". He turned around and yelled "What the fuck is your problem?" When they didn't answer he took out after them.
He grabbed them by the shoulder and growled, "I said what the fuck is your problem?"

She ached all over after a particularly rigorous practice at the court and all she wanted to do was go home and sleep but all she could do was take a very cold shower to wake herself up and drag herself to school. She almost fell from her bike on the main road because she was so tired.
Amy stuck her ears with her earphones and blasted really loud music which helped with waking her up the whole trip to school. Once there, she locked her bike at the bike park, hoisting her back pack over both shoulders. They hallway wasn't too packed as she walked through zombielike. She bumped into a few people and didn't apologise for it.
That is until she was roughly stopped and before she knew it, she was facing Judd Nixon. She had prayed she wouldn't have to meet him at all this senior year. To say she was scared of the guy would be an understatement. It wasn't an excuse but she had bought into all the gossip surrounding the repeat kid.
She took out her earphones and showed it to Judd. "Sorry. Was listening to metal. What'd you say?" She asked, obviously unaware of his directed anger.

Judd was almost like an animal, he could sense her fear. He could have had real fun with that and torment her like a cat does before it devours its prey but instead he kept the mountain on his shoulder.
"I don't give a damn what you were listening to," He snarled slightly, smacking the earbuds out of her hands. "You just plowed into me like I wasn't there and I don't like that!" He stepped up close so he was in her face like someone on The Jerry Springer Show. "If it *EVER* happens again, you'll be sorry." That really sounded more sinister than it was because he really had no idea what he would do should the situation ever arise again.
Still he didn't demand an apology from her. He gave the following. "Do we have an understanding?"

Coiling back physically from the manic looking boy, Amy wondered what had his knickers up in a bunch. "Dude, honestly I'm tired. I got three hours of sleep last night, been training for the past three hours and right now if you keep shouting at me, I might have to claw someone's eye out." She said in a lazy tone. She was scared of the older boy but that didn't mean she was going to take any crap from him.
His threat went over her head and she tried to wake herself up to try and be brave. "I'm sorry I hit you. Want to get a cup of coffee? Or coke? Something with a kick preferrably. I need to wake up."

"Oh yes, that just excuses everything." Judd replied sarcastically. He shook his head with disbelief. "You think for a second I even buy that?" He hostile tone was brought down but he was still on edge. The girl had some fight in her though. "You try and lay a hand on me and you'd be lucky to have use of it."
His rage turned to befuddlement when she asked about coffee. No one had ever really just talked to him before other than Melodee. How does one treat that like a threat? He furrowed his brows, eying here suspiciously. "I...I suppose so." He didn't take the asking lightly but was also getting a feeling that she was telling the truth.

The blonde senior basketball player just stared at Judd, summoning up all the Baker courage she inherited from her father as the boy seemed to maintain his threatening pose. The students around them were curious what he was going to do to her. Some were even hoping to get real live action on their silly camera phones. She glared at them for a second and they dispersed.
But Judd finally relented and he actually accepted her offer. She was relieved and surprised all at the same time but she moved herself to the vending machine that sold cheap not so good coffee. Hopefully the caffeine in it would mask the not so nice taste. As she inserted her coins, her peripheral vision was on high alert as she watched Judd's every move. He was a loose canon after all. She didn't want him exploding all over her coffee. She needed the damn coffee.
Once the sludge finally stopped expressing, she took out the cup and handed it to Judd before inserting her coins once more. Better to get on his good side now. She didn't need him to like her but she had to at least simmer him down enough to bolt later unscathed. She got her cup and took sips of it, the caffeine already doing its job. She silently guided Judd outside so they could sit.
For a few minutes, they drank in silence until she decided the silence was too painful. "Why are you so frightening?" she blurted out, deeply regretting it immediately. "You don't have to answer that. I'm sorry I even brought it up. You can continue to ignore me now." She turned away from Judd and continued to drink her coffee.
