He crossed the beach barefooted, he had walked down to the beach in a pair of sandals which were god only knows where by now. Hell he thought I can just buy a new pair tomorrow and send the bill to grandfather for a birthday present or christmas present which ever he preferred.
Jade's mood was good he had spent more time with Jeremy than he usually did this year, always a good thing he thought to himself. It was getting late he knew that much, he had just left the house after being told that he and Alex could have a place of their own for rental purposes on their senior year. It meant that they would get more privacy than they were used to. Security of course would be on the front of the apartment building or what ever the hell his parents put them in.
So Jade was happy and in the mood to celebrate, instead he was down on the beach getting his feet wet. This was the freedom that they both craved from their parents rules. Moving in would be fun, Alex would have to learn to cook properly otherwise he would be doing all of the work in the kitchen. Macroni cheese was not a stable diet that he could live on all day everyday.
On the way back to the house he dropped by his favourite coffee shop ordering his favourite drink and a blueberry muffin. He turned of his hearing aid preferring peace and quiet or relatively peace and quiet over the noise of the shop itself.
