Homework. Dani had homework. She never had homework. It was only like the second day and she had to do work, at home. Really. Who the hell did these teachers think she was. Dani was no student. She was stuck in hell. Dani would prefer to be walking the halls of the set of Days of Passion, but right now her character was in a stupid coma. And she would not be coming out for a while supposedly. Soaps could always change that. One thing Dani was confident about, was that she was not replaceable. No one could play Nikki like she could. Still the idea of homework left a foul taste in Dani's mouth. So rather then go home she decided going out was the best thing to do. Dani thought she might as well explore LA. She put on her expensive sunglasses and wore a baseball cap. That made it easy to blend in and hide who she was. She didn't feel like being mobbed by the idiots with cameras or her lovely fans. Dani decided on going to Greg's fathers pizza place. At least she knew the man would not blow her cover and make sure she was left alone. Damn Greg for having such a nice family. Dani found a booth. She ordered a soda and personal pan pizza, just like at pizza hut, except with the Meyer's twist apparently. Dani reluctantly pulled out her homework, but then pushed it off. "Stupid school. Seriously. Whats the point of public school, someone please explain to me the fun of walking down halls filled with germs just to go from class to class and have to listen to boring teachers all day?" She wasn't asking anyone in particular, but anyone was free to answer.

Greg had gone in the back door to the pizza place, with Sandy on his heels. "I swear to God Greg, I saw her. Dani was at the school. There were so many kids I couldn't be sure but I'd know the blond hair anywhere!"
Greg smirked as he poured himself a glass of Coke. "Right Sandy, Dani was such a perfectionist, there is no way she would ever set foot in a public high school." He headed out to the dining area. He tossed his backpack into a booth and slid in taking his books out. "This was cute when you little but now its just weird." He shook his head as someone from behind him spoke. "Well, things can't last forever and," he turned around and nearly did a spit take. "You?!?"
Sandy stood in the door way leading to the kitchen, "Told ya so!" She gloated as she headed to the back.

Dani looked up when she heard the unmistakable voice of Greg Meyers. How could she forget that voice. She had listened to i non stop since she was twelve for days. She had to act with him and do some love scenes. It still made her shiver. She really needed a new love interest but for some reason, Nikki and Greg's character whose name she choose to forget, but never could forget, the characters worked really well together. Everybody loved them.
Dani slide out of her booth and covered Greg's mouth, "Don't you dare blow my cover." She said to him. "I mean it. I do not want to be hounded or discovered here." She said. Dani uncovered his mouth. "Why are you not hiding." Sure this was his dads place, even more reason to hide. She looked at him.
"Oh my god, what happened to you? Are those...not designer clothes. They are like plain. Is this what public school does to you?" She asked. That was Dani, always found something to rag on Greg about. "I don't know how you do it." She commented. Dani removed her sunglasses, but left her baseball cap on. "Nice to see you handsome." She smirked.

Greg's eyes widened as Dani covered his mouth, much to the delight of Sandy who was sneaking peeks from the kitchen.
He smacked his lips a couple times. "I spent a year hiding and trying to deny who I was and I got tired of it. If people knew who I was, so be it." He sat back in the booth. "The people I know have been cool with me being on tv. There hasn't been people going nutso or anything. Just sit back and enjoy the ride."
"Nope, simple clothes, off the rack from The Buckle, Hot Topic where ever I could go. Sandy was a help in finding clothes as well."
She waved from the kitchen window while throwing pizza dough in the air and then catching it. She was following in Dads' footsteps. "If you show that you have money, more people want to know you for the cash rather than knowing you. Too shallow for me."
"Its good to see you too." The words dripped with sarcasm like ice cream on a hot day.

"Perhaps you are just so unliked that no nutso's have even thought about coming up to you. I mean come on, we both know you were popular cause I am popular." Dani said with a smirk. Yeah she had her diva moments. even if she left her diva for on set, it was still a facade. One she kept up sometimes around Greg, but not all the time. "I just don't care to have my life as a high school student on the next E! Entertainment. You have been there a year and this is my first week."
Dani just eyed him. "Oh please you know you are happy to see me. I mean come on, without me your life is very boring I know it." Dani commented her voice full of sarcasm right back. "So give me the dirty deets...do you have a girlfriend? I mean you have me, but like I told you, thats on set only." Dani smiled and let out a small laugh as she teased.
This was Greg no way she couldn't not tease him about it. She always joked about it. "So how do I work this whole school thing? I haven't been in public school since I got the job as Nikki. But this year, my dad fought my mom on and here I am." She said with a shrug. "So you will be seeing a lot more of me. Aren't you thrilled?" Dani smiled and winked at Greg.

"Don't forget I was on the show longer than you, therefor my popularity lead to yours." Greg bounced the retort back to Dani. "The only way that would happen, is if you drew attention to yourself somehow." This wouldn't surprise Greg if it had happened.
"Boring? Just wait, you'll find being a nor...regular student more excitement than you can handle." He a smile came up on the right side of his face. "No I don't have a girlfriend, but I have a friend who taught me that you don't need a relationship in order to be happy. Yes this might be a shocker for you."
"Just do what your told, do your work and all that good stuff. Get involved with activities, I wound up getting to do two musicals last year." She had to say it.
"Oh yeah just thrilled."

"Details. You know for a fact that had I not been on the show your character would have been paired with Cindy's character and you and I both know working with her would have been a disaster in that sense." Dani reminded him. Although now Cindy's character on the show hated Greg and Dani's character. She was one of their main enemies, but that was besides the point, "And I make you look good. Can't forget that either." She smirked.
"Right. Must be lonely for you then. What is it...no girl will date you cause you are too quiet or you can't trust them not to be after your money. I always told you nice guys finish last." Dani couldn't help but have this back and forth teasing game with Greg. she loved giving him a hard time cause he annoyed her. She was jealous of him, cause he had the great family and the friends, the popularity. Things she wanted. Then again those were things she used as a way to make her life seem better so she didn't have to deal with how crappy her mother was. Dani didn't even finish her pizza cause all she could think about was how her mother was going to make her eigh in on Friday.
"See I knew you were thrilled. As for this work..what kind of work? I don't have to join clubs right. I already joined cheerleading. I think thats enough for me.What about you? Are you a jock? A geek? What?"

"Good reason for that, the producers took pity on you and thought you could learn from me." He knew that would push a button or two. He shuddered though at Cindy's name. "Must you say she who is not to be named?" Greg held back a laugh. "No, I made you look good, you made me look fantastic."
"Neither one of those, I had enough drama being on tv and I really didn't want it in real life. Mom was probably the closest thing to a girlfriend that I had." He knew Marrianne's nickname would probably knock Dani for a loop. "Besides I have a little sister in high school to look out for."
"The work I'm talking about is homework." He took out his history book. "Keep up with this and you'll be fine." She had become a cheerleader, this news didn't surprise Greg. "Me? A jock or geek? Not hardly. I'm in that unclassified area, I can get along with most anyone."

"Fantastic, now thats a very good word. I like it." She teased. "Oh come on, as for she who shall remain nameless, I mean..seriously. You have to thank me for coming on the show when I did. By the way she still has a major cursh on you. Her dressing room is still a shrine to Greg." She laughed. "It's very cute, you should really consider asking her out." Hey he pushed her buttons so she pushed back.
Dani eyes him. "Mom...am I in Alabama or something. I mean mom..close to being your girlfriend. Is it just me or do younot see something wrong in that statement? Do i need to call a head shirnk or something." It had thrown Dani for a loop. She didn't get there was a woman at the school or had been that had a nickname mom.
"Ewww homework. I mean..no thanks." She pushed his book back. A smile crept upon her lips. "I was homeschooled on set. I know a lot." She reminded Greg. "Sandy right, thats your little sis. How is the little shrimp. You stopped bringing her to the set. How come?"
