Whenever Brandon checks his phone he'll have this message:

So I'm giving Bennett Durnham a makeover and making him popular. Gonna need your help. You in?

Brandon felt his phone buzz and pulled it out. He smirked when he saw it was Shelby No doubt begging for help again. Begging was an exaggeration but still. She was asking for help.

"What do I get for helping...."

Brandon pressed send. He always messed with Shelby about paying him back for helping. Of course he was in.

Shelby smirked when she saw Brandon's reply. She of course knew about his little crush on her, but of course Shelby probably thought a lot of guys had crushes on her that didn't. Her ego was that big. Still, she needed to lead him on just enough to get what she wanted without trapping herself. Brandon was sweet and cute even, but he was a sophomore. Shelby had ambition of dating boys older than that. But still, with no one really stand out in the junior class to take over next year, Shelby knew the spot was her's. All she needed was some loyal followers to instill everyone's confidence and Brandon was perfect for that. He was pretty likable which helped because she knew very well that she wasn't always so great in that department. And Bennett was a good pick because he still was a Durnham and she saw him as pretty moldable. Now all she needed was some cute but non-threatening girls to hang out with and to stay in good with the more senior cheerleaders and she was golden. Shelby was a girl with a plan and there was no stopping her.

"You get to hang out with me silly " she typed and quickly pressed send before sliding her phone back into her purse.

Yes Brandon had a bad crush on Shelby, but he truly felt she liked him as a friend. So of course he would follow and help her in any way she needed.
